Big Break was another amazing, well written romance by Summer Rose. Katie is excited and a bit nervous about her first big break as an actress. Jake is an actor with the reputation of a bad boy and a womanizer but there is more to Jake than meets the eye. He is immediately attracted to his new co star. Katie is wary of Jake thanks to his reputation but she can't help but the real man. Will Katie and Jake allow others to keep them apart?.

An actress just starting out meets the actor that will change her life. The two meet on the set of their new series that they will be staring in, when their eyes met they both knew it was the start of something special but after they touched and kissed their souls connected. They could stop looking at each other during the day. When the actor heard from his ex he told her that it was over but she wouldn't let him be, he was worried because she was the producer's daughter. After work he ask the actress if she would like to go out to eat with him and she agreed so he took her to his and his brother's restaurant where is brother had a meal ready for then, they said eating and talking till late at night before they left. His ex go ahold of him wanting to meet when he went to the bar he was greeted by his ex as well as the cartel, they told him about getting ahold of a diamond ring that his ex took from them not knowing what to do he agreed to help. He took the actress to his house, they made love. when she got home she saw pictures on like with him a woman holding each other and kissing upset she decided to ask him about it the next day. She got to work and asked him but he wouldn't answer her, telling her to come with him he took her to his place but before he would he saw his ex taking her father off so he went back to get the diamond ring then he left with the actress getting to his place he told her bits of the truth. They kissed and made love telling each other that they loved one another. She knew he didn't tell her the whole truth and when she walked off he fallowed but when she started asking questions he wouldn't answer getting a call from the hospital about her sister she grabbed her stuff and ran to her call leaving him standing alone. when she left he texted her telling her everything. She got to the hospital not knowing anything about her sister's condition, she will learn that he has lost alot of blood and they don't know if she will wake or not when he comes to be by her side she doesn't talk he tells her that he is there for her and he won't leave her. He holds her hand kissing her forehead while they wait for word after a some time he tells her that she needs to go he said he will talk to the producer about her getting some time off then he left. She goes to the studio seeing him and his ex embracing and kissing she walks of be fallows when he gets hit in the head and blacks out he wakes up with a couple of tall guys watching him they take him to an office, the office of the cartel guy the man goes to the windows closing all of the blinds while talking about the FBI when he gets back to the desk he hands the gun to the actor telling him to shoot himself to make it easier on himself. The actor takes the gun closing his eyes then he hears some gun shots, dunking down covering his face he drops the gun. Next thing the actor knows he is looking around when he hears footsteps seeing the cartel guy down he notices a had it's the had of an FBI agent helping him up, the agent tells him that they got a call, that he needs to be checked out by the paramedics and that his girls and his brother are safe. He goes to the restaurant where his girl and brother is at, he holds her hand then brings her in for a hug then his brother hugs both of them. The all go to the hospital, the actor and his brother goes to the ER so that he can be checked out and she goes to her sister room. When she gets to her sisters room the doctor tell her that she will be okay and tell her about prescriptions that her sister will be on but she will have to stay at the hospital a bit longer. The actress's sister tell the actress that she lover her and the actress tells her that she loves her too. Standing there thinking about the last couple of days and the last twenty-four hours that she could have lost two people that she loved and cared about and how much she couldn't let that happen.
Amazing characters a dramatic suspenseful thrilling steamy romantic easy read page turner that you won't behave to put down till the very end. A soulmates happily ever after.

Katie and Jake meet on a movie set. Katie is a new up and coming actress and Jake is a successful actor, but he has a reputation with women. Katie has been warned to keep her distance from him, but there is something about Jake that she cannot resist. They start to become closer, but when the producers daughter makes out that she and Jake are in a relationship, Katie starts to rethink her feelings. Will others meddling keep them apart or will they end up with a HEA.

This is an older man, younger woman romance story. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

Too much drama even for an actor
This book is about Katie and Jake. They’re on set together when they meet, and there’s an instant attraction. This is her first gig and she’s hesitant to act on any feelings with a co-star, and especially one with his playboy reputation. Even though that reputation may not be deserved, Jake has all sorts of other issues to content with too. Katie and Jake can’t help or resist their attraction and get to know each other quickly, but he has way too much drama to capture my interest. I give this book three stars.

Katie and Jake met on the set of a movie, Katie's a young up-and-coming actress, hoping that this movie will be her big break. Jake, however, is already a successful actor with a reputation where women are concerned.

Katie was warned to keep her distance but there's something about Jake that draws her, as for Jake he's never met anyone quite like Katie and it's not long before they become close but when the producer's daughter starts making it look like she and Jake are in a relationship Katie begins to doubt Jake's feelings for her.

Big Break is an age gap romance between Jake, a veteran star actor who has a reputation as a player, and Katie, an up and coming actress in a potential break through movie which will propel her to the top of her profession. Jake and Katie are instantly attracted to one another but other individuals interfere with their new relationship. This is a well written romance with amazing characters, secrets, misunderstandings, drama, and steamy attraction.

Summer Rose has given us another great start to a new series. She draws us into the story and lives of Katie and Jake. You are glued to the story from start to finish. And like a good book, this one also contains danger, lots of secrets, twists you didn't see coming, hot and steamy scenes and much more. Our Little Secret series got off to a great start and can hardly wait for the next story.

Honestly this book was confusing. It seems to jump from one scene to the next and left me scratching my head as I wasn’t sure what was happening. There wasn’t a lot of explanation behind all of it and there was no depth to the characters.

Summer Rose brings a wonderfully written story of an older man/younger woman. Jake and Katie will slowly pull you into their lives. They will pull you along with secrets, danger, and plenty of love. Another great read.

This is the first book in Our Little Secret Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Katie & Jake.

This is a well written age gap romance with strong characters in Katie and Jake. The author does a great job building the story and filling it with secrets and danger as well as the love and romance. She moves it quickly and smoothly with her perfectly painted scenes and delivers a great read.

Jake

This book is about Jake, who is an actor. He's seen as a playboy with the women, but he's really not. He meets Katie on set and develops feelings for her, but has to prove himself. Along the way, Sasha causes them some drama that he has to figure out. This book jumped around a bit so I had trouble keeping up in some areas, but other than that it was good.

Such a confusing book. It jumped around all the time and it was hard to keep track of what was going on. It’s like it was originally written in another language and was translated into English. It was unfortunate as I liked the premise of the book. Not sure if I could read another book by this author.

Fun - in the sense that it’s a light and casual read - which is perfect for the train or bus ride to work. Not a huge amount asked of the readers emotions which helps you sped through the romantic developments between Katie and older, more established actor Jake. Recommend for a weekend read!.

Wonderful book with great characters. Katie is the new actress on set and Jake is the older experienced actor. Their attraction happens right away. They run into trouble when the daughter of the producer continues to pursue Jake even after he has told her he has no interest in her. Katie has doubts when she sees Jake with her. He has to explain how the other woman is of no interest to him. This was a fast paced read with a great HEA.
