As usual this book was recommended by a friend, and I have to say that if she hadn't encouraged me to read them I may not have based on the description given. Now, that's not to say that the description isn't accurate, it just didn't sound all that great. I WAS WRONG! So, so good. In the past I can't say I've read a lot of castle and dragon stuff, but you add in the magic and all the variations of it and this was a full packed adventure! I read all 4 books in around 3 weeks. The first book was great, meeting everyone, learning what Sardonthian is made of. Warning: You will fall in love with Dorian. The second book was good too. The characters go through some changes, but I liked the development of them. The third book you meet Rowan. Really like this character, and the associated surroundings. Things really start getting dark in this book, as in really dark magic. May only complaint about the third book was suddenly every other word seemed to be cursing. And I can't say I liked the witches as first, but they grew on me. The forth one you will not be able to put down. There is so much maturity in the characters, and the witches you met in the last book are better in this one! Love Abroxas! - you'll see ;) All these things you didn't know realize start linking together, and so much is revealed! The great thing about this author is that she doesn't forget those clues she left you with in the other books! Like "rattle the stars" I believe is in book 2, and you find out what it means in the last book! The ending of books is what always concerns me. I hate a deflated ending. This book delivers though! Although it ties up and finishes some things, there is still more to be done! Thankfully it isn't a painful cliff hanger! Really looking forward to the rumored books 5 and 6! Read this adventure!

The Throne of Glass series is one I grow to love more the deeper into the series I get. Whilst the first book did pull me in, it wasn’t until I was part way through the series that I found myself unable to put the books down.

The series is far from perfect, with a number of issues consistent throughout all the books. The speed is regularly slower than you would like. Quite a lot of aspects are quite predictable. The romance is rather overbearing at points. Some of the characters are clichés. Despite all of this, there are many good points. The series is all kinds of addictive. There are so many layers to each book. The story is wonderfully connected between the books. You come to love and hate characters, your emotions being altered regularly.

Honestly, it’s a wonderful series. It’s not the best I have ever read, but it is more than worth the read.

Probably the only books I truly enjoyed in this series. The series went a little wayward afterwards.

I read all 4 of her books in the Throne of Glass Series in a month! If I was at home I was reading them, if I was not the one driving in the car I was reading, if I was waiting in line somewhere I was reading, if I couldn't go to sleep I was reading, I could not put these books down! I love the fantasy world the author created and that it's not just from one characters point of view! That was really intriguing to me. All though I preferred some characters over the others each perspective kept me interested and engaged. You can tell the author spent a lot of time developing each character. Their history, motives, and personalities, were well thought out. I am so impressed by these books and feel empty now that there isn't anymore to read. The author left a lot of things unanswered so I am sure there are more in this series to come. I guess until then, I may just have to pick up the novellas!

I loved the plot and characters and it kept me reading. I couldn't give it 5 stars because there were too many problems with formatting, references between some of the characters, and a constant shift between modern language and the normally expected archaic language of this "time period " but it was definitely worth the read.

As ever no direct spoilers,

So, what have we learned from this installment, well sadly, I still feel the the worlds greatest & most deadly assassin is still portrayed as the not quite greatest & deadliest assassin, seems odd, anyhoo, here we see the real strength of change in writing compared to the previous two books that are in fairness a great read in them self, the story itself, what we learn across the whole book is really enjoyable & I thoroughly enjoyed it & therefore will be looking for the next installment. The Evil & ruthless King is of course scheming for his next assault on the world he is so desperate to rule with his evil non human army. Prince Dorian, well, that's another story in itself & we'll just have to wait & see where that goes & how it unravels & what becomes of him after this book. The Fantasy level gets upped a strong level with the creatures the witches & Mauve, wrong spelling but hey as I got only one follower who's going to kick me in the knackers for that, well that person could LOL.
A good strong flowing read & I am seriously looking forward to the next book, I will put more in here but needed at least to get this up.

I really love the series, and as a younger generation I thought these books were perfect for something to get me off my phone. The Throne of Glass series is by far my favorite books I read them at least twice a year. I'm in love with all of the romance, adventure, and the drama. I I think my favorite book in the series is Heir of Fire, because her relationship with Rowan and showing her true self is amazing... I am so happy that this series came out.❤

This was the most amazing series I have ever read! I fell in love, had a broken heart and laughed; even cried with the death of characters I didn't know more than a little detail about from one of the main characters. When ever I suggest books this series is the first to come to mined.

Amazing, simply amazing. The author has a very talented gift. I follow a lot of her work and hope she continues.

The young women portrayed by Sarah Maas have flaws. Yes, they aren't perfect women. But they hearts are in the right place and they stand for what they believe. The reason why they are so loved is that in this world of lies and violence, these characters represent what we so long for: true love, devotion, and dedication to worthy ideals.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! By book #3 Maas has created an intercut, compex world that makes you believe that if you look out the window near your favorite reading spot you just might see an entire kingdom!

I seriously cannot put this series down. So much fun to follow a trained assassin as she continues to rebuild her life only to find out she is meant for greater things… if she can make it. Super cool!

My favourite series' ever! Though there was lack of race representation. I feel like it could've been written diversely. But as a feminist i love how she showed what women experience. Should definitely give the series a try!

If you need a good fantasy series this one is a good one but boy is it ever a commitment because girl they long!! But I think their worth it overall.

After finishing Fourth Wing I wanted to challenge myself with more fantasy series, and this one didn't disappoint.

First 2 were really good but boy was the 3rd book a lot to handle. So many new characters so it was a lot more to grasp then just Celaena, Chaol and Dorian that were the main first 2 books now we got more fae/ demi-fae, witches and healers.
I'm excited to see what happens in the next books.

These first 3 books were some of the best political fantasy writing I had read. When it was still a fascinating assassin underdog story it was incredible. It all goes downhill when the protagonist reaches the elves. Bye bye gorgeous unique story. 😭

Best battle scenes ever! Would not recommend for younger teens. Sex gets steamer as the series goes on, but the story line is exciting and sooooo hard to put down.
