Bryce, Harley’s rancher boyfriend, brings a big rose bouquet and her favorite coffee to the FBI office and leaves them on her desk for when she comes in. Then she doesn’t hear from him the rest of the book. I wonder if he found out she went to the biker bar alone after promising she wouldn’t go there alone without him.

The killer abducts women and forces them to climb a cliff in the dark… to conquer their fears. Then if they make it to the top he pushes them to their deaths.

All of the women were patients of a doctor who specializes in addressing fears via Exposure Therapy.

Thanks to Harley’s mixed signals with her partner Calloway in previous books, he is distancing himself in this one. This is why she has no back-up when confronting the killer while he’s got a woman halfway up a cliff face one night.

Andy, the Ranger who patrols the land where the murders have been taking place, arrived with help after Harley finally got the killer ready for jail.

Calloway does finally show up late but doesn’t offer her a ride back to town. Andy did offer a ride.

This book ends with Harley kidnapping the guy (last name Cane) who was texting or maybe it was emailing Savage about Kelly, Harley’s sister, before she disappeared. Those notes made it appear that Kelly was drugged, abducted and on the next stage of sex trafficking.

Hopefully there will be a lot of answers in the next book, Nowhere Pure.

Cole and Callahan are having difficulties in their work relationship because of mutual unresolved feelings and Cole's boyfriend. In Nowhere Certain they are tasked to find who is killing girls after they are forced to walk on a trail and hike a cliff. They will follow many leads without finding the culprit and will only do so after they understand his motivation. This is a fast-paced story, with lots of action and great descriptions of places. Very entertaining!
