pain, love, & purpose
it’s the pain that leads the way
to the wisdom deep inside
it cracks your heart wide open
gives you nowhere else to hide
and from that depth of feeling
we remember our own hearts
when we’re on the path to love
sometimes pain is where it starts
from my pain i found my purpose
my feelings showed my truth
pain guided me to passion
and what i was meant to do
when i avoided feeling pain
i blocked myself from love
through pain, love, & purpose
i found who i really was

This poetry book comes out of nowhere. With each section, the poems get more potent, and I related more and more. I absolutely loved the Purpose section, as it so beautifully described what it's like to go through an awakening. Definitely recommend this short read! Read in about three hours
