Christmas Wishes: The Antique Locket

As young children, triplets Gabby, Annie, and Mark Duncan make Christmas wishes by tossing coins into a wishing well in North Pole, Alaska. They each wish for their heart’s desire to come true in the future, since their military father has been relocated once again, forcing them to leave their current home and friends behind.

On their twenty-ninth birthday, they make a triplet decree to accomplish their wish within three years. The next morning, Gabby finds a package on her porch containing an antique locket. Clues lead her to the Moonbeam Ranch where she meets Jake Hayes, a handsome cowboy and former soldier. Jake is trying to save the family ranch that fell into disrepair when his dad died.

Gabby delivers the locket to his grandmother, who tells the story of a lost love from her youth. Intrigued, Gabby makes a deal with Jake. If he helps her locate his grandmother’s lost love, she’ll help him save his ranch, using her skills as a designer and website promoter.

Their arrangement seems beneficial for both, but neither can deny that it’s something more. The festive Christmas celebrations only strengthen their connection. But painful past experiences cloud their emotions, and they begin to question whether or not their joint efforts are worth risking their hearts.

This was a short story that was both sad and sweet. This book is part of a three book series set around a set of triplets named Gabby, Annie and Mark Duncan. This story is about Gabby.

This story is about Gabby Duncan who has a sister and a brother and they are triplets. They make Christmas wishes by tossing coins 🪙 into a wishing well in North Pole, Alaska. They each wish for their heart’s desire to come in the future. Their father who was in the military has been relocated once again forcing them to leave their current home. On their twenty -ninth birthday they make a triplet decree to accomplish within three years.

The next morning Gabby receives a package on her porch containing an antique locket. The clues to the locket lead her to Moonbeam Ranch. She meets a guy named Jake Hayes who is a cowboy and former soldier. Jake is trying to save the family ranch. Gabby delivers the locket to his grandmother who tells the story of a lost love from her youth. Gabby makes a deal with Jake if he helps her locate his grandmother’s lost love she will help him with the ranch. They end up falling for one another. This was a nice story but a bit short.

Warm and Cozy.

I loved the simplicity of the story, nothing overly complicated. Easy to follow. I did get annoyed by the aggression from the male lead, but that can be overlooked for his reasonings.

This book would be perfect for teens to YA. Nothing R/M rated.

4* if I needed to fill my time with a book, I’d definitely pick this one up again.

Nice read

A story about hopes, dreams and finding love.

I enjoyed reading it, but I can't say that it swept me off my feet. It's an enjoyable read for a relaxing afternoon.
