Though he’s unhappy that the godmother will be his sister’s best friend and employee, Anna Kent. Flynn doesn’t trust her. Anna’s sunshine attitude and easy smiles must be an act.

Dog groomer Anna Kent dreams of falling in love and living happily ever after. She cherishes the life she’s built in the small town of Silver Falls, a world away from her painful childhood, but she’s missing a life partner. Her overly hyper dog, three spoiled cats, and two rescue fosters don’t count. Anna can’t wait to be a godparent, but she’s not thrilled to share the honor with grumpy Flynn.

He doesn’t like her. She’s not impressed with him. Somehow, they’ll have to find a way to plan a baby shower together. But as unexpected feelings spark and tensions escalate, the party might be the least of their problems.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
“A Sprinkle of Spring”, by Melissa McClone (Tule Publishing), features an unlikely romantic couple going from a state of latent hostility or indifference to love, with the support of human and animal friends.
What I loved about Flynn was the character’s arc, including the unfriendliness and arrogance; it’s rare to have a hero with such an unpleasant personality and I really enjoyed it, while detesting his attitudes.
He’s the opposite of nice and affectionate Anna. The unpleasantness is so well done and convincing, that I had my doubts in the beginning if this hero would be redeemable.
The changes (or revelation) his character goes through are compelling to watch, and the fact he’s not even aware of how he’s falling for the heroine is fun.
Anna is a giving person with a traumatic background.
I liked how the protagonists’ jobs was such a big part of the story. I must confess that I felt the animals were a bit too much.
I liked the characters and thought they were interesting per se, however I felt that the relationship development between the protagonists was lacking.
Important things happened without the proper build up and anticipation and felt rushed. I also didn’t feel that much chemistry between Flynn and Anna.

I think finding out I was going to be a grandma in the past week had me feeling all the right feels for this book. I got some baby shower ideas :)Flynn and Anna made a great pair. They were effective for each other. Margot did some great reverse psychology match-making. I can’t wait to read the next installment.

This is a review of Melissa McClone’s a Sprinkle of Spring, the fourth story in her Silver Falls series. I have previously reviewed the earlier three stories. Silver Falls is a charming small town located in the Pacific Northwest. The residents understand that it is a wonderful place to live, mostly due to the residents. Callie is the youngest sibling, and the baby sister. She moved from fast moving Los Angeles to Silver Falls, fell in love, and married her knight in shining armor. She was later followed by two of her older brothers, who also married their lovers, and settled in the small town. It’s New Year’s Eve, and Callie has just announced that she is pregnant! Furthermore, Godparents will be her best friend, Anna Kent, and her lone LA based brother, Flynn Andrews. Mayhem is about to begin!

Anna thinks Flynn is arrogant. She’s correct, and Flynn dislikes Anna, and even in dog. Duty #1 for the godparents is to execute a perfect baby shower for Callie. Flynn is no help, but he does contribute financially. Flynn has returned to LA and immersed himself in surgeries. Flynn is a workaholic who is unable to manage himself. He is overworked to the point of committing medical mistakes. His mother, who is his hospital chief of staff, revokes his surgery privileges, and mandates a long vacation. Then Callie voices her displeasure because of his lack of help for Anna, and the baby shower. Flynn and his brothers all play the older brother card, but they would do anything not to upset Callie. Flynn reforms!

Flynn apologizes to Anna and promises to do anything needed for the baby shower. Flynn does his share but commits one error. His error results in Anna hurting her arm and head in an accident. Flynn feels awful and commits to nursing Anna back to health. Anything so Callie forgives his error. Anna and Flynn are both fighting internally against their lives, past and present. As Anna slowly heals, she sees Flynn’s good points. Flynn learns of Anna’s difficult childhood. Their mutual animosity has changed to empathy, appreciation, and compassion. It’s now a short journey to like, then love. Will they declare their mutual love? Will they build a better life together? Will Anna leave Silver Falls for Los Angeles, or will Flynn move to Anna in Silver Falls?

I loved this story, maybe more than the earlier three stories in this series. The author writes wonderful stories and series. My only suggestion for this series is to increase the books from four to twelve! This is a 5 STAR read!

I received this arc of A Sprinkle of Spring in exchange for my honest review. This is the final book in Melissa McClone’s Silver Falls series. The series has featured one of the Andrews siblings in each book. This one is the oldest brother, Flynn’s story. Flynn is a surgeon in Los Angeles that is a workaholic. His mother is the chief of staff at the hospital. His sister Callie had moved to Silver Falls, opened a dog grooming business, fallen in love and got married. Flynn had visited a couple times and met her friends. When Callie finds out she’s pregnant, she chooses her best friend and employee, Anna Kent as godmother. Her other two brothers already relocated to Silver Falls so she chose Flynn as godfather, thinking it would force him to visit more. Flynn did not like Anna and is not pleased she was selected. He is grumpy and she’s very cheerful. Anna has a dog and several cats that Flynn is not crazy about either. He tries to look into her past and is unable to find anything, thus raising red flags.

As godparents, Flynn and Anna are expected to host the baby shower. Flynn is so busy with work that when he finally talks to Anna about the shower, he gives her some money and doesn’t answer her texts. Anna is left to do the planning and work on the shower alone. Flynn has thrown himself into his job as his department is short staffed. When he has an issue at work, his mom steps in and forces him to take a leave of absence. He heads to Silver Falls to rest. When Anna has a problem, the family drafts Flynn to be the one to help her. As they spend time together they realize there’s chemistry between them. However, his job is back in LA and her life is in Silver Falls. What will happen to the couple once his leave is up? What secrets does Anna have?

There is a lot of angst and sweet romance in this book. I loved it. The opposites in this couple were fun to read about and cheer for. The series has been wonderful. I found both Anna and Flynn to be genuine. Initially I didn’t like Flynn but came to like him as his character grew. This was beautifully written by Melissa and I highly recommend it.

Flynn and Anna’s story in A Sprinkle of Spring by Melissa McClone, book four in her Silver Falls series, is an enjoyable, small town, opposites attract/enemies to friends story. Anna Kent is a pet groomer at the Doggie Day Care and best friends with the owner Callie. Anna does not get along with Callie’s brother, Dr Flynn Andrews; she considered him to be arrogant and he doesn’t trust her. Flynn is a brilliant surgeon but he has been working too hard and ordered to rest over the holidays. He heads to Silver Springs to stay with a family friend. While he is there, Callie announces her pregnancy, and asks her best friend Anna to be Godmother and Flynn to be Godfather. This means that they have to work together to plan the baby shower. Once he is well rested, he heads back to his hectic life in LA to work and leaves Anna with all the planning of the baby shower. He didn’t mean to let Anna do all the work for the baby shower but it happened as he allowed himself to again become overworked. Anna is not impressed with Flynn at all. An incident after the baby shower injures Anna, forcing Flynn to stay at her house and help her recover, bringing them much closer together.

Ms. McClone wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. This story contains magnetism, chemistry, the magic of love, the town matchmaker, and charming characters giving Anna and Flynn a chance at love, happiness, and a future together. I really enjoyed my time in Silver Falls and was happy to visit all the previous characters; catching up on their lives. I highly recommend A Sprinkle of Spring to other readers.

I have been looking forward to A Sprinkle of Spring for awhile because I’ve always liked Anna’s character, and was ready to see her get her happily ever after, and I’ve always been intrigued by Flynn Andrews.

With what little interaction we’ve had with Flynn in past novels I had expected him to be more on the dry side, but what I hadn’t expected was this brainiac workaholic surgeon to be so narcissistic! In his mind there is nothing more than his career and no room in his life for anything else, including his family, or even sleep for that matter! It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a character so self absorbed and unaware of just how toxic his behavior is to those around him, but hello Flynn!

Anna is his polar opposite, giving so much of herself to help out her friends that it doesn’t leave much for herself to be replenished, especially with the added responsibilities she gets in this novel of taking on more responsibilities at the doggie daycare, as well as planning the baby shower.

Seeing Anna and Flynn together highlights just how different these two are until Flynn’s caretaker side starts to show, and their chemistry fires up, a connection that is unmatched. This wasn’t my favorite story in the series thus far, most likely due to the rough start between Flynn and Anna, but I still enjoyed this read nonetheless. I just adore this series so much and reveled my time in Silver Falls!

*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.

A Sprinkling of Spring by Melissa McClone
I would like to thank Tule Publishing for the E ARC of this book. It is published on the 23rd of March 2023.
This is the 4th book in the Silver Falls series and concentrates on Anna and Flynn. Flynn is Callie’s brother and a brilliant surgeon but he has been working too hard and is advised by the hospital board to take a leave of absence to recover. He heads to Silver Springs to stay with a family friend. Whilst there his Callie announces her pregnancy, she asks her best friend Anna to be Godmother and Flynn to be Godfather and they agree. This means that they have to work together to plan the baby shower. Once he is fit he heads back to LA to work and leaves Anna with all the planning of the baby shower.
Anna is Callie’s best friend and works with her at the Doggie Day Care Callie owns. Anna and Flynn do not get on, Flynn doesn’t trust her. He doesn’t mean to let Anna do all the work for the baby shower but it happens.
An incident happens after the baby shower that means Flynn has to help Anna, can being together so much bring them closer together?
I loved Anna and wanted her to get her HEA. Flynn took me awhile to like, he is so driven and focussed to the detriment of all else. I really liked seeing all the previous characters and catching up on their lives. Silver Falls sounds like a lovely town to live in and to visit.
Can highly recommend this series.

Anna wants what her friends have found...Love in a perfect match. She needs to have patience and when she's not looking perhaps it will find her just like it found her friends. The thing is, even though he doesn't seem to like her or Milo, Anna is attracted to Flynn Andrews.

Arrogant surgeon, Flynn Andrews is a workaholic he works himself to total exhaustion and then it takes a while before he doesn't fall asleep the moment he sits down.

It's New Year's Eve and Callie and Brandt have an announcement to make.

Flynn and Anna are to be the baby's godparents which means they host the baby shower.

Of course, Flynn has no idea what that involves. He makes some major mistakes here and there's quite a show-down between him and Callie when she hears. This results in an apology to Anna, funds for the shower and he promises to keep in touch via facetime and texts. Unfortunately, once he's back home he dives right in and forgets everything.

Things get a bit crazy from here as Flynn's mother the Chief of Staff at his hospital steps in. Flynn's who life is about to come unglued.

I really love the way this story progresses and in spite of Pippa being thrown at him, Flynn and Anna find a path to romance.

I really hope there will be more books in Silver Falls, I really love this small town and the people in it.

A Sprinkle of Spring by Melissa McClone takes the reader once again to Silver Falls with book four of the series. More of enemies to friends then to love story the falling for the brother of my best friend story. In a way it is both as L.A.-based surgeon Flynn Andrews and Silver Falls resident Anna Kent work together as godparents.

As the coming baby shower is planned Flynn does not impress me as a brother or godparent-to-be. As the story progresses he does do better in the character growth area. I liked Anna from the start admiring how she has overcome the past. Such a realistic story since we all know friends who have family that we don’t necessarily like or want to be around. These two characters show that change is possible and can lead to so much more. Anything can happen in the lovely town of Silver Falls.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Falling for her best friend’s brother.

Anna Kent did not like her best friend’s brother, Dr Flynn Andrews. She considered him to be arrogant. When they are both thrown in together to plan a baby shower and Anna ends up doing all the work, she really starts to despise him. But what happens next could change it all. Anna gets injured and Flynn is the one to stay at her house and help her recover. Anna soon changes her mind about Flynn. She started to see the good side of him. Will it be enough to build a relationship on?

This was a fun quick read. I liked revisiting the small town of Silver Falls and catching up with the characters from previous books were up to now and seeing how Anna and Flynn’s story would turn out. I liked seeing how they went from enemies to lovers. This is a great addition to the Silver Falls series.

I love visiting Silver Falls and this was no exception. Anna is the town pet groomer, and loves the little town and has made so many friends since her arrival. Dr Flynn Andrews, an arrogant surgeon has come to town to visit his younger sister, Callie. Anna and Flynn are opposites and enemies but have now been named godparents of Callie's soon to be baby. Anna has planned Callie's baby shower with minimal help from Flynn, after the shower Anna is injured and Flynn has been chosen to watch over Anna. Soon a friendship develops, can it lead to more,

I love the Andrew's family! Anna is such a strong person on the out side but fights with some inner demons. Flynn is your typical surgeon, always busy and doesn't take time for himself. Love the closeness of this little town. It was wonderful catching up with previous characters.

It was lovely to go back to the town of Silver Falls and watch another of the Andrews siblings fall to cupid’s arrow. I liked that so many of the characters were people I was familiar with from earlier Silver Falls stories. The romance between dog groomer Anna Kent and surgeon Flynn Andrews does not run smoothly for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the huge gap in public perceptions between the value of each of their professions.
A Sprinkle Of Spring is a sweet story filled with kind and gentle characters who genuinely care about each other. That said, Flynn and Anna got off to a shaky start as she thought he didn’t like her and that he was arrogant, while he thought she was taking advantage of his baby sister. I liked the way Flynn softened as the story progressed. This is a story to read when you’re ;ooking for the warm fuzzies.

The fourth novel in the Silver Falls series, A Sprinkle of Spring sees an arrogant LA surgeon and a pet groomer at odds with each other. Flynn is overworked and falling apart. When he and Anna are named godparents to his sister’s baby, they are deemed the baby shower creators. Anna is bubbly and creative and ready to start. Flynn is not; he gives Anna money and checks out back to his work packed life. A turn of events lands him back in Silver Falls paying the piper and facing Anna. Cupid’s arrow strikes both of them but there is too much stuff blocking the arrow from completely piercing its mark.

I received an ARC for an honest review

I don’t know if this is the end of the Silver Falls stories, but if it is, it is a fantastic way to end the series. I think this was my favourite story. At first Flynn seemed to be a huge egotistical narcissist and definitely not good enough for Anna, but after he was forced to take time off, he started to show signs of being a decent human being. Anna really is as nice as she seems, which took a long time for Flynn to figure out. Anna deserves someone who loves her as she is without forcing her to change or meet their expectations… this is worth reading to find out if she and her fur babies have found Mr. Right or not. The added bonus is getting to see everyone else from Silver Falls.

What a great story starring Anna and Flynn. Do opposites really attract or are people really opposites?
Sometimes it takes a situation beyond our control to have your real feelings show themselves. I loved this story and how this family is always there for each other. Who wouldn’t want to have family dinner with this group of folks? I love how Callie stands up to her brothers, even the Arrogant surgeon, who just happens to be the oldest. Will Margot really stop doing what she loves doing? Who wouldn’t want her to be your aunt? I have so enjoyed by time in Silver Falls. I received an ARC of this book, but my opinion is my own.

I was immediately captivated by this final book in the Silver Falls series with characters I could be friends with, great small town atmosphere, and a beautifully crafted story that kept me entertained and intrigued and sorry to see the book end when I got to the last page. I loved the undeniable attraction and chemistry between dog groomer Anna Kent and LA based surgeon Flynn Andrews. If you enjoy sweet and heartwarming contemporary romance, don't miss Sprinkle of Spring by gifted author Melissa McClone. I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review. I enjoyed it so much, I purchased a copy.

Anna and Flynn rub each other the wrong way. He is arrogant and left her to deal with the jack and jill baby shower alone, just throwing money at her to pay for it. But he does have a change of heart when she falls after he leaves her alone to clean up after it. I can understand wanting the best for your pets but Anna puts herself in a precarious situation with no health insurance. It was sweet how all four cats and the dog fell for Flynn even Milo the troublemaker. Anna has some insecurities to get past and it doesn’t help that others keep trying to set Flynn up with someone else. It was nice to catch up with the previous couples in the series.

I loved Anna and Flynn’s story; truly opposites. Big city vs small town; high stress, high paying job vs low key job; surgeon vs dog groomer; a big loving family vs friends who have become like family. So much of opposites they really don’t like each other. When an accident happens that leaves Anna needing 24/7 care, Flynn feels responsible and steps up to help out. And so it begins! I love the way the author brings all of this together to a sweet, yet swoony, HEA.

I received an ARC of this book by the author, but my review is my own and given voluntarily.

The story was a sweet romance with a bit of an unexpected pairing. Anna and Flynn are very different people with very different backgrounds. But the author worked her magic and the two found their way to a happily ever after. I was rooting for the two of them to work out from the beginning. The book was a fast read, and I enjoyed every moment. The book is part of a series but is standalone, so it can be read without reading the others and still enjoyed. I received an advance copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed returning to Silver Falls for this book that focused on Anna, the dog groomer of Wags and Tails.  The story was sweet and romantic with an arrogant doctor thrown into the mix.  I especially liked that in many ways it showed how important family of the heart was to Anna , who had been through so much growing up but had finally found her home and happiness in Silver Falls.  It was a fun, beautiful story to read.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

McClone lights up the heart with emotion and entices the soul with wonderful characters. Flynn and Anna are the anti-thesis of a perfect match. From blatant hostility to heartbreaking trauma, neither is looking for happily ever after, but love makes things happen. Despite the odds with adorable help anything is possible. A Sprinkle of Spring walks a fine line between frustratingly clueless and heartwarmingly sweet to find a captivating story.

This was a nice way to spend a relaxing afternoon reading, Anna and Flynn were the latest couple to get together in this series. It is a standalone but I think it would be more enjoyable to read the series from the beginning. This was a sweet romance 🥰. They were thrown together and it took awhile for the two to become a couple. I would recommend this book. I was given an arc but this is my honest review.

3 stars. I enjoyed the story, but I thought our H Flynn was an arrogant jerk, and while he did a bit to redeem himself, I can't help but picture poor Anna in a life of always being the second priority if someone isn't around to point out things to Flynn. This feeling could be due to the rushed ending, and not really believing their lovey dovey feelings and how the two would actually function in an ongoing life together.

It’s a great book, however I was disappointed in the ending. How many people have this experience and then get engaged. I feel like the stories move WAY too fast at the end. She could have carried the love stories into the next book. Instead they decide they love each other, get engaged after maybe 2 real dates then are married. I feel maybe it should slow down a little or she wants another book series Divorces in silver falls 🤔🤔. Still a great series that I couldn’t put down.

Anna Kent is a pet groomer in Silver Falls, Flynn Andrews is a surgeon in Los Angeles, they have extremely different personalities and they can't stand each other, but life brings them together when Flynn's brothers and sister chosed to live in the small town. Forced to cooperate to plan the baby shower for Callie, his sister and her best friend's, will they overcome their disagreements? Or will their ruin their loved one's day?

A Sprinkle Of Spring was a nice read.
I loved to see all the Andrews family get together and fit nicely with the Silver Falls community, everyone except the arrogant doctor Flynn.
Flynn was a real piece of work at the beginning, fortunately he redeems himself showing his caring personality at the right time.
I adored Anna's selflessness and kindness, she is always ready to help others, it was moving how others are there for her when she needed it. Their relationship develops slowly, they change their minds about each other's character only after they have known one another better and they have discovered more layers of their personalities.

The story is well written and the pace is pleasent, I recommend it if you want to spend few hours relaxing and smiling.

Silver Falls

Melissa McClone does not disappoint in the last book of the Silver Falls series. Margot continues to try her matchmaking skills and love abounds in this close-knit community of friends and family. Of course, the town has its mishaps, and they all band together to support each other.

I raced to finish this book since it was the end of the series, but as always I hated reading the last lines and closing the book on these charecters and their lives I've grown to know and love, and wish I could jump in with them! I am very much going to miss them, this might be a series I would re read one day in the future!

I put this down months ago and just picked it up tonight to read through the last 20 pages. McClone’s books are cute, themed, easy-read light romances. They’re not written with the most poetic prose, but they’re cute. This one wasn’t as captivating as A Cup of Autumn, but it was a nice spring read, just the same.
