I escaped from the ravenous monsters when the dead refused to stay dead.
I ran for my life when a last-ditch effort to contain the spread of the infection did nothing but blast the last remaining survivors to smithereens.
Yet not all hope is lost.
Along the way, I made friends for life. Former enemies became allies. We’ve all become part of the Enclave—a survivor stronghold now home to thousands, among them women, children, and entire families. Together, we do everything to beat the odds.
But resources are running low. Cut off from energy, with barely enough food to see up to the end of the week, hunkering down and waiting for the zombie apocalypse to end is not an option.
Someone has to go out there and fight.
That someone is going to be me and my team—and those I still consider foe rather than friend. But we need to work together, or else none of us stand a chance to survive—another week, another day, another hour.
This is an extraordinary and action packed journey through a zombie apocalypse. Aspectacular cast of characters and an extremely entertaining storyline. A cast of survivors just trying to make it through the day and survive a zombie apocalypse. Sadly is what typically happens during any apocalypse is that not everyone can survive. Between the hundreds of thousands or millions of zombies running around out there trying to kill you every day. You also have the scum of the earth out there they’re trying to kill You And God knows what other kind of sycophants and psychopaths running around killing off the few remaining humans. Follow along as our survivors try their best to get what they need and survive. Great characters that you will fall in love with a number of them that you will hate their guts. Sadly not all of them will survive. Read on it and see what happens in this chapter of this world. Entertaining fast paced action packed and a thrill ride to the end.
I never know what direction this author will take their series and book 3 in World of Anthrax was no different. It did not go where I thought it would and I absolutely love that! Dharma’s history was interesting to say the least, Kas deserved better and wasn’t Jared a surprise horse right out of the gate. I’m not one for giving spoilers in reviews, I detest it as I’d rather be surprised then have someone give out the story when it’s so uncalled for so you won’t find that info in a review from me. All I can say is thank goodness I’m behind in my reading giving how this book ended. Besides, how can you have read books 1 & 2 and still be on the fence!?! Just grab this book, you know you’re chomping at the bit (hahaha poor taste? Hahaha) Oh, the audio is magnificent and I find myself listening to it while I get stuff done or just lay still dealing with pain, grab it too, you will appreciate the brilliant narrative talents of the narrator. I’m off to grab book 4.
I knew she would give it to me. I have utter faith in her zombie books, they're tried and true and never disappoint. Yet I will admit I was triggered with the ending, I was not prepared for the double whammy loss which pisses me off and made me feel like there was so much possible growth lost. Yet I have faith that there is a reason to this madness and a bigger picture I have not seen yet which will be explained in book four. I just have to stew and wait for it.
I mean, I really can't blame Adrienne. This is my own doing. We know she does this to us and we still choose to keep reading. I do blame her a little, though. It is her fault for writing such addicting novels. It's her fault for writing her characters to make them feel like people, friends really, and not characters. It's her fault for writing so many twists and turns you can't put the book down. It's certainly her fault for being so goddamn witty, funny, and sharp in her writing! Damn you. Adrienne. Can't wait for book 4!!!!!
Liked? The action, the people (well a lot of them) the zombies lol of course and especially liked that they don't disappear and you're left with just human action like so many books. I love that Callie continues to suprise in so many ways, I love the dinamics of Jared and Callie. The to and fro between them is so entertaining. It's been a long time since a series drew me in as much as this one does and the action never stalls! Dislikes? Can't think of any 🙂
Whew! Desolation is very busy and very fast paced! I truly enjoy reading the character interactions. Great group of people! And the different zombies and factions and just... whew... what a ride! That ended on the edge of a cliff!! So glad book 4 is already available!
Hi, I'm from the government, I'm here to kill you.
Nice plot twist to end book three on a cliffhanger of epic proportions. Callow has her hands full, as usual, trying to stay alive while avoiding the undead mobs. See what happens, buy the books and read them in a well lit room.
What a thrilling 3rd book in this series. So much is happening, twists and turns you don't see coming. Plenty of nail biting, hair raising moments that will keep you riveted to the end. Ms Lecter knows how to keep you enthralled. Really looking forward to the 4th book.
I cannot describe how much I am in love with this series. I’m new to Adrienne’s books but she has very quickly became one of my favourite authors, her writing is incredible and this series is honestly so addictive. I can’t wait for the next one!
Love, love this series. I have also fallen in love with the characters. I just wish I had the courage and strength they show. This series is a must read. Just go back and start at book one!
Good! Lots of twists and turns! You never really know who to trust! You can really feel the tension in this book! Can’t wait to find out what happens next!
