Ryker: Demon Riders MC: 4 Horsemen
It should have been simple. Creed moved out with his new family and the rest of us had to rent his unit. No big deal. Put an ad in the newspaper and online and let the applicants pour in. Or not. Five applicants and only one of them is acceptable. Adam Cooper was a fantastic option, even if he used his own mother as a reference. He and his girlfriend agreed to the tenant contract, no parties, no smoking, take care of your space, easy, right?
Not when the idiot got the wrong girl pregnant and I had to listen to her yelling and her shitty music.
Although, he also brought with him his super hot mom and honestly, I was a little lonely. Too bad she wasn't the kind of woman who would be into a friends with benefits situation. Still, she was fun to look at and damn funny.
When Merry needs me to be more than just her friend, but also her savior, I more than willingly step up and do what I can to keep her and her kids safe. It's what I'm good at, what I excel at.
How did life get so twisted? My oldest son went from happy and looking forward to the future with his fiancé, They were moving in together and planning a wedding. Until someone from his past comes back and destroys it all. Moving into the home he had planned to live in with his fiancé and taking his pregnant ex-friend was not the way he wanted to begin his adulthood. The only upside was the neighbor, the landlord. Maybe that was only an upside for me, but the man was gloriously attractive . . . stupid word, he was hot as hell and I could only hope that he would mow the lawn without a shirt on.
Too bad all that goodness comes into our lives through the shit show. Too bad I get to know Ryker because he's trying to stop whoever it is that's stalking me and trying to kill me. Thank God he's around because I probably wouldn't survive without him.
