Jamie Schaefer was born and raised in Wisconsin. From a young age, she has always had a passion for reading. While other children were outside playing, you would find her with her nose in a book. It amazed her that she could disappear into another world for a while. She had always wanted to create those worlds for others but didn't take the leap until 2019. Seeing as she was a lover of HEA, romance was what she gravitated to. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and three children.

Your dad always sets you up with his friends sons, one day you really liked one of them and it worked out! Until it didn’t. He broke your heart and You swear you’re not going to get into anything serious anymore no relationship no heartbreak so years later your friend takes you out to a new bar That just opened. You meet a guy. You want to use fake names and he takes you up to the office of the bar. Are they allowed up there? They don’t seem To care. Then things get steamy.. and after he offers to go get you guys some water and when he comes back you’re gone. And you leave him a note to Come find you and you will take him up on his offer for dinner. Then one day he shows up at one of your fathers dinners with his son….

Good lord! I’m new to Jamie Schaefer and so damn happy I found her. I could not put this down. The story, the characters, and the spice! All top notch. I literally said a few times to myself just until the end of this chapter, and it never happened. I couldn’t stop and when I did all I could think about was getting back to my book. You are pulled in and dying to know how this romance plays out. And you aren’t disappointed. I love the unexpected turn it takes, it’s just so good. The banter, the sass. Please if you like romance…….read this book. You can thank me later.

First off. Let me start by saying: I’m not a huge reader of the romance genre. I prefer my romance to include mystery and crime. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a spicy tv show, but not often do I read it. I COULD NOT put this down. The chemistry between the characters is steamy and their relationship is complicated. The twists. My jaw literally dropped more than once, and I yelled “WHAT AN ASSHOLE!” Out loud. During a particular scene, I felt the need to turn my phone so that no one could see the words, I was alone in the room, but you never know. The author is fairly new to the game, but I expect great things for her.

I loved this book so much and couldn't put it down. It is a great age gap romance that has so many wonderful characters that the reader falls in love with. The chemistry between the main characters is wonderful. There were so many layers to the relationships yet the book was fast paced and kept me reading well past my bedtime. I had never heard of this author but will definitely put her on the must buy list!

Forbidden, written by the author Jamie Schaefer is the first installment in the Sinful Desires book series. The main character of the story is Jenna Mason. During her sophomore year of high school, she started dating her father's friend's son Liam. Their relationship didn't last longer. 

Now Jenna's main goal in life is to make her parents happy. She is twenty-four-year old and doesn't want to be a nurse. It's her father's dream to have her work beside him one day. 

Nick Douglas is successful at a young age. He has worked too hard to be successful. Nick had an amazing evening with a mystery girl but she disappeared later. 

Read this book to know will Jenna follow her plans to keep her parents happy or would she be tempted to have more with Nick. The writing style of the author is nice. The chemistry between the characters is something I loved. The plot of the book is intriguing. This book fits my reading taste and I enjoyed every bit of it. Go ahead with it.

I received this story in exchange for a review.

This is a new author, and so I think that for the first book it is really good. I initially thought that the story could be a lot shorter, but then things happened that caused it to be longer. Things that were not necessarily needing to happen, but were really good to the whole story.

There is spicy scenes, and they are good. There is also some trauma involved, so that may be a trigger for people. I didn't see it coming, and while it did not trigger me as such, it definitely was shocking and I wanted to throw something at the character. The main male character was both endearing and frustrating. One minute you love him, and one minute you want to toss him off the closest bridge.

That is one of the best things about the book, is that you get emotionally invested. You love and or hate the characters and you feel for them when stuff goes bad.

Jenna is just a girl trying to make her parents proud of her. In everything she does, she keeps her dad’s approval in mind. A rough breakup after high school keeps her isolated in her love life. Not wanting to disappoint her parents but also not wanting to disappoint herself, after what she has been through she is very cautious. After meeting Nick, a man who is living the dream bachelor's life, Jenna may be persuaded to give love another go. One night changes her carefully planned life forever.

I absolutely loved this book. The spice was there, the romance was there and it practically had me believing in love again. The last 200 pages had my emotions rattled and my heart fluttering.

This book gets a 41/2 out of 5 stars from me. This spice level was there and I also enjoyed the plot as well. This author could quickly become a go to for me!

I found Jamie Schaefer on Booktok. I am almost always willing to try a new author and this is one I do not regret trying out. There are a few parts in her book (mostly just way things are worded) that kind of weren't my thing but I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Jenna and Nick and Will. The story was different than I expected and kept my interest piqued through the entire book. Check her out you won't regret it and if you do I am sorry, I definitely did not.

Couldn’t Put It Down

I found Jamie on TikTok. And then I went looking for what to read. And I was not disappointed. I started this book yesterday (3/19) and finished it today (3/20). Even at work, I was reading it during my lunch. I read it any time I took a small break from staring at my computer. I just kept reading. And it has been a while since I’ve done something like that.

Okay this book exceeded my expectations. I read this one because I was sent the ARC of book 2… but I am so glad I did! Jenna and Nick are goals and they have so much against them and I love everything about this story. Shock, lies, secret FORBIDDEN love, a pain in the booty dad and so much more twists I couldn’t put it down! I hope that book 2 is the story of Will.

I had to read this book after falling in love with Taboo (book 2 in the series) since I was given Taboo as an arc. This book did not disappoint! I loved the chemistry between Nick and Jenna. I didnt want this story to end! Jamie has this way of writing her books and transporting you to this spectacular world...I just can't get enough.

4.75⭐️ This book had me hooked from the beginning I had to force myself to put it down so I could sleep at night 😅 So many turn of events, banter, emotions. All of it. You couldn’t deny the chemistry between Nick and Jenna, the way interacted with each other plus the spice 🥵 Age gap, dual POV, forbidden love. I was a little worried when I started it with it being over 500 pages, but I was so invested, I just had to know what happened next. I think the author did a great job with making sure the plot and characters flowed together smoothly.
