From first to the last, the Brothers nine must fall,
Or chaos reigns, and they will destroy it all.

TOMIKA ‘MIKA’

I’d known I was different my whole life. But I hadn’t known exactly what I was until I met him – Cole.
And apparently, my kind were thought to be extinct.
It turns out that I’d just healed a King of Hell, and now that he knew I was a Witch, he was not about to let me go.
Despite my better judgements, I found myself drawn to him and all his darkness.
I blame my heritage—a Witch was born to heal.
And who needed healing more than a King of Hell who lived with his Demons?
... Literally and figuratively.
COLE – A KING OF HELL

Existing for eons meant that nothing surprised me anymore. That was until I screwed up and got stabbed with an Angel Blade. I was resigning myself to my fate when Mika healed me. Unbeknownst to her, her fate would now be forever changed.
For the first time in a long time, this five-foot-three whirlwind of attitude and sass brought out emotions in me I thought long dead.
With Mika turning into a new vulnerability I was unwilling to relinquish and Angels and Demons alike trying to get their hands on her, I’d destroy anyone who tried to take her from me.

This book instantly drew me in

Cole was the perfect jealous/possessive Hero, while Tomika challenged him beyond anything he was used to. I enjoyed how they grew and changed as individuals and came together as a couple.

I loved the world-building and the creative way the author dealt with demons, angels, and witches. The description of the action in the story made me feel as though I had a front-row seat. Who'd have ever thought I'd be on team Demons?

I can't wait to read more in this series.

Kings of Hell!!! Yes Please

An amazing start to a new series. Cole and Mika were great together. The banter, the steam, the angst was very entertaining. Cole has unknowingly put an old prophecy into action and now the fate of his remaining 8 brothers is fast at hand. One by one each King of Hell will fall. Cole has found his witch and he refuses to let her go.

The battle between Angels and Demons is still ongoing and now that the brothers know their are other witches out there they cannot allow the Angels to capture them to be used as their pawns and healers in their never-ending battle.

As if the ongoing battle isn't stressful enough, the prophesy has been written, read and now into play. This is about to be one hot, rollercoaster ride when each brother succumbs to the mate bond all while maintaining control over their respective realms and ongoing battle with Angels and rogue demons alike.

This is not a Sunday School Romance BUT you don't want to miss it!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (and yes that is 6 stars)

🔥🔥🔥🧯

This book begins with a prophecy shared with the reader that the characters are not aware of yet. It states that “From first to the last, the Brothers nine must fall, Or chaos reigns, and they will destroy it all.” With no other context the reader is dropped right into the mind of Cole, the first King of Hell as he is thinking about “The first time I saw her, I almost killed her. I almost wiped her from the face of the earth with little more than a wave of my hand. I could have. I should have. But I didn’t. Call it a moment of fate or destiny. Call it anything you F____g like. At the end of the day, I didn’t realize I was looking at my salvation -- or my destruction.” What an opening gambit for a book, and what a powerful way to draw the reader in. Cole has a voice that truly matches that of a perfect King of Hell. He is a take no prisoners, touch-her-and-you-die, loyal to a fault, swearing, fighting, brawling, powerhouse of a lover, and soon to be the first of the Fallen Brothers. And if this description of Cole leaves you dry mouthed and craving more, then you have got to check this book out!

With that said, don’t think that the women in this series are pushovers because of their fated match to a King of Hell. Cole’s fated mate is the witch Tomika, an untrained witch who has the unique power to heal both Angels and Demons. Witches, having been hunted for their healing powers across the ages and almost to extinction, are nowhere to be found anymore. So, when after a fierce battle Cole is ready to accept his fate and die, it is Mika’s own powers that call her to rush headlong toward Fate and heal Cole by taking on his own wounds and leaving her own life in jeopardy. Cole, thunderstruck by her beauty, passion, and powers, whisks her back to Hell to recover, and unknowingly sets the prophecy into motion. But Mika is no shrinking violet nor is she a damsel in distress, this witch will give as good as she gets and responds to Cole unlike anyone ever has. Their courtship, is a torrent of passions in every sense of the word and the ending of this book will leave you breathless with wonder at how Hell will work it all out -- but I’ll say no more, you’ll have to read yourself because I don’t want to spoil any aspect of this book for you.

I loved everything about this book and the way that Maree showcased the war between Heaven and Hell with the Earth as their battlefield was skillfully written. If you like dialogue that is as real and raw as it can get; if you like your MMC & FMC to spark, spit, and try to defy fate; if you like watching as two unlikely characters find unconditional love while learning to accept themselves, then you don’t have to look any further for a summer read that will literally take you To Hell And Back and leave you loving the little whiff of Hellfire that Mika and Cole leave in the air.

A WORD OF CAUTION: these are not your Sunday School Miltonic Demons and Angels. Things are not so black and white in this series. Not everything is as you expect here, not all demons are back stabbers. And that means that the angels you meet are not all the garden variety fluffy do gooders. If you are easily offended or don’t like very open door romances or can’t take hard talking and hard loving men, then please skip this book. These are the stories of rough and tumble, tattooed Kings of Hell and the Women who can stand up to them as they Fall in Love and accept themselves. This is the total opposite of a Sweet Clean Closed Door Romance. But what a great story this is!

Oh. My. Goodness! "Cole: The King of the First Ring of Hell" by Alexis Maree is an absolute triumph that completely consumed me! I'm utterly obsessed with this book and the incredible author behind it.

Let me start by gushing about Mika, the badass protagonist who shattered all my expectations. She's not your typical meek and cowering female lead—no way! Mika is fierce, sassy, and unapologetically herself. I couldn't help but cheer for her every step of the way.

And Cole, oh Cole! The King of Hell who stole my heart and set it ablaze. His transformation from an immortal ruler to a vulnerable soul captivated me like nothing else. The chemistry between Mika and Cole is off-the-charts electric, sparking a love story that sent shivers down my spine.

Alexis Maree's writing style is pure magic. The way she paints vivid scenes with her words, infusing them with raw emotions and heart-stopping action, is downright addictive. I devoured this book in one sitting—I simply couldn't tear myself away until the very last page. It's that good!

But it's not just about the romance and the captivating characters. Maree weaves a complex tapestry of angels, demons, and a battle that will leave you breathless. The fantasy, romance, and suspense elements are masterfully intertwined, creating a gripping plot that keeps you guessing at every turn.

What I adore most about "Cole: The King of the First Ring of Hell" is its underlying messages of self-discovery, redemption, and the power of love. It challenges our notions of good and evil, leaving us questioning our own humanity long after the book is finished.

I'm now suffering from a severe book hangover, eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series. Alexis Maree has crafted a masterpiece that has me on the edge of my seat, dying to know what happens next. I can't sing enough praises for this extraordinary author and her brilliant storytelling.

If you're searching for a book that will consume your every thought, "Cole: The King of the First Ring of Hell" is an absolute must-read. Prepare to be swept away by the magic, the passion, and the undeniable brilliance of Alexis Maree. Trust me, you won't be able to get enough of this addictive journey!

This is my first book by this author as well as the first book in this series. What a great start it is and I can't wait to read more from this author and series. I enjoyed this author's writing style that not only made the characters pop but come to life on each page. The details used made the story realistic for sure. This is a well written story where the author combined steamy romance and suspense into a story that is hard to put down. I found this book to be fast paced and engaging. The characters are relateable and just added to the story for me. This is a story you don't want to miss, it is a must read. There is great growth as well as chemistry throughout the book. I highly recommend this book.

Tomika has always known how different she is. For as long as she can remember, she's always been able to see angels and demons. That, along with her ability to heal has lead to a lonely life, keeping other humans at arms length.

When her healing ability calls her to a warehouse in the middle of the night, she never would have imagined running into a demon who needed her help. She finds herself drawn to him, as he does with her and after a heated kiss they are both left with a cryptic symbol now marking their bodies.

Finding out that Cole is actually one of the King's of Hell is just the cherry on top when he whisks her to his realm. They now have to figure out what the bond between them means, why they've been marked as well as dealing with the threat of her identity and what it means in the ongoing war between angels and demons. But there's one other pressing matter... they both have to accept their feelings for each other.

My thoughts:
I just love anything to do with demons and angels and if there's smut? Give it to me now!! (no pun intended😂... Or was it?). This book was such a fun, quick read. I loved the author's take on the kingdom of hell. I loved Tomika's character and her fight. Cole was just... Scrumptious? Lol lets pretend I never said that and move on. But no, really, he is totally that grumpy, possesive asshole who smirks ALL THE TIME #shivers! I really enjoyed the plot and I never saw any of those twists coming. I cannot wait for the rest of the boys books 😩

The Kings of Hell did peek my interest. The start was a bit rocky for me, but besides that, Cole's story left me intrigued. Particularly, I'm interested in his brothers - Nova and Corvin. But that's not the point. The lore behind demon kings here was interesting and brought a nice twist to demons. I wished Alexis Maree would have gone further into details on the brothers parents and a couple of other things. I was very curious about the reaper as well. Anyway, I enjoyed Cole and Mika's story. I'm curious how much more of the world Alexis Maree will reveal in the next book.

Love and Fire

Solid 4.5 stars. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the characters, the story line was exciting, and the writing was good. I have read several Demon \ Angel novels and this one held its own and didn't feel like that same old story which was nice. Fated mates, a prophecy, 9 hot demon brothers, a healing witch, I mean what more could you ask for!! I am looking forward to the next book and excited to see where this series goes.

This book was 🔥🔥! Cole, the king in the first circle of hell, is in dire straits on earth when Tomika comes across him. Cole is overcome with an overwhelming desire for her, and her for him, unlike either has ever experienced. In an effort to keep her safe, he whisks her back to hell, where out of anger for the loss of her freedom, Tomika keeps Cole at a distance. This is a not-so-slow burn that turns white hot! I definitely recommend this read by @alexismareeauthor if you like paranormal and/or spicy romance!

In a word- hellfire.

At first, I was trying to wrap my head around what was happening. 9 demon kings for the 9 circles of hell. I guess Lucy was busy. Lol. Yet, Cole made it so easy to fall for his red flag self that Mika couldn't help it, too much. I loved their bickering. It's so real. Can't wait for the next brother to fall

It was an okay read. I'm not really big on reading about sex (unless its Romantic Thrillers or Romantic Suspense). The characters were loveable but I found myself drifting off every time a sex scene came up.

I really really liked this book. I had strong feelings towards the characters pretty much right from the beginning. Strong in the sense that I wanted to smack Cole on the back of the head for his perceived ownership of Mika. Strong in that I loved Mika's ingrained need to rid the world of evil.
I loved reading how their thoughts and feelings progressed about the other person and how they fell in love.
I thought the storyline was really original and loved how the soul-binding bond worked. I won't ruin anything for anyone but be prepared for the gambit of emotions. I felt them all.
Don't judge me but I liked the negative portrayal of Angels, that they're selfish and arrogant, it was just a nice change to root for the "bad guy".

It's exciting to think there are 8 more mate matches out there for the brothers and 8 more emotional stories. Looking forward to reading them all.
