Bali doesn't hold back in this sexy, action-packed sequel to The Archer Princess. I love the emotional journey Altara and her companions are on, and the very real way Bali writes them. We learn more about the history of the Ellythian Isles and also that they are in imminent danger. There are even more points of view in this book which give a broad view of things happening all over the place, and how the characters are responding to their world constantly being turned on its axis.
I will never stop reading and recommending E.P. Bali's books. This series and The Warrior Midwife trilogy have everything you could want in an NA fantasy romance series 😍
The suffering from the cliff-hanger dealt to us at the end of The Archer Princess is finally over!
As The Archer Witch begins, we are taken to the Eternal Forest where we watch as Zale and Altara fight to ‘find’ each other in both a metaphorical and literal sense!
We learn more about Ellythia’s history and get a look into the minds of Altara’s friends as we also follow their separate journey to save Ellythia.
This book will leave you hot under the collar as Altara and Zale’s relationship becomes Bali’s spiciest yet, but don’t for a second think that comes at the expense of a well-developed plot!
The Archer Witch is an action-packed book that you won’t be able to put down and leaves you breathless wanting more and it’s such a pleasure to see the confidence Bali exudes in her writing as she becomes a master of Romantasy.
Will Altara and Zale make it as a couple? Will they be able to save Ellythia from a fate worse than total destruction at the hands of a monster? Absolutely hanging for the final instalment!
Book two had all the great things from book 1 plus even more! I liked seeing more of the other girls and their perspectives, the trials and hard things they had to go through, and how supportive of each other they are.
Altara’s story was rough but it was amazing as a reader. I’ll say it again: this trilogy is even better than Saraya’s and I can’t wait to see happens before they connect!
EP Bali is now (and probably forever will be) an auto-buy author for me and this book solidified that fact even more. Her writing is so beautiful that even when she is breaking my heart I can't help but marvel at the beauty of her words. I trust that she will heal everything she breaks in me eventually. The character growth in this book was exceptional. She deals with dark themes in an elegant way. I was also very impressed with how she wrote the female platonic relationships in this book. I love women supporting women. I'm so excited for the conclusion of this series, but I am also not ready to say goodbye to these amazing characters.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 picks up with Altara and Zale, lost in the Eternal Forest, grappling with the knowledge of being star-soul mates and struggling with demons both physical and innate, all while darkness reigns the lands near and beyond.

Altara and Zale, two fated mates, made of the same destiny. Twin flames, twin souls.
The horror and then the honour of the creatures lurking in the Eternal Forest was a beautifully crafted twist.
Also, two women battling for a man, with honour would have been a nice addition, but unfortunately or rather fortunately, it played out differently - with deception. And what a funny spin it was.
After all the coronation to new posts, and losing and regaining lost honour and then some, the ending is keeping me hooked.
But the last installment is months away and I'm impatient but it what it is.
I’d say, this is the most spicy one to date, but don’t let that get in the way of the plot! Because Altaras woes are not over after we left off, she is stuck in the enchanted forest, away from her mate and finds herself thrown into ruling a kingdom… but is all what it seems? And will she find the strength to free herself from herself and help her friends? Altaras personal growth in this book is beautiful and her mate bond with Zale grows stronger each page.
I also loved the journey their friends make when returning home to the Ellythian Isles. We find out more about the history of the islands and the people that rule.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It has great pace, it’s funny and the plot will keep you guessing, Ektaa you have outdone yourself yet again! I can’t wait for the finale!
I knew starting out that I would feel so many different emotions while reading. The cliffhanger from Archer Princess should have clued me in that it was going to be a RIDE. The first half of the book had me flipping from hopeful joy, anger, and anxiety (not necessarily in that order). I had to take frequent breaks so I slowed myself down! It was amazing. E. P. Bali did an amazing job capturing the relationship between the girls and allowing us to see how much Pia, Malika, and Rani relied on each other at the academy through their years together. While their relationship was beautiful, she somehow made it that much more heartbreaking. I await impatiently for book three, even though I know just how heartbroken I will be for Altara's story to end and I'll have to say goodbye to these characters.
I loved The Archer Princess, but wow Bali really did step it up with this book. I loved all the drama, the plotting, the action that the friends had to go through. It was an emotional journey for Tara and of course her mate Zale because all he wanted was to be with her and protect her from everything but with her trying to figure out everything in her own time it was important for Zale to give that to her and wow what an amazing book it was. I loved the danger that the group was put through and the highs and all the lows of the book. It really helped to build up to the third book and I cannot wait to read it. I can’t believe the heartache that Tara felt at the end of this book but at the same time the power and strength of her to make sure that Zale will make it back to her. As well as to see the side characters to see what their fates have to offer us in the next book.
This is the second book in the trilogy and damn it was so good! In the beginning we see Altara struggle with herself and darkness and I really felt that. I loved how we got to know Zale in a different way in this book and seeing Zale & Altara grow together was amazing. We learn more about the history of both Altara's family and Zale and it was all really interesting. These books have a way of completely sucking you in and getting you lost in this world where you just want to keep reading all the time. The ending was definitely a mayor cliffhanger but luckily I can immediately start the third book in the series and learn what happens next 🤩
3.5⭐️ Ok, we’re getting somewhere. I have to admit, I feel more connected to Saraya’s story than I do Altara. But in saying that the characters and cliff hangers and hooking me in and I can’t wait to see how this series ends - when Saraya and Altara are finally together. The side characters in this trilogy play such a huge role and I’m glad I get to see things from their perspectives. Malika and Atax, I’m waiting for their reunion because it’s going to be volatile. Rani and Pia have my heart, I hope their stories lead to a happy ending as well.
This is a fantastic second book. This does take place exactly after the second one and we do get to see Zane and Tara work through the transition into accepting each other as mates. You do jump to povs of their companions since theory’s in two different worlds.
The ending has me shocked and wanting to know how the trilogy will end. I highly recommend this series!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This author and this series are so amazing. Her writing and character development are constantly keeping you enthralled and just WAITING to see what's going to happen. She makes you feel joy, love, wrath, loyalty and of course she is hilarious. I have re-read and shared with my husband my favorite parts and I cannot wait to see what comes next. I will forever be Ms Bali's fan and will continue to buy every single book she creates. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
I really enjoy this series and think it’s unique with an excellent plot. My only gripe is that in the first trilogy there were some major time continuity errors and they get worse here, which I hope the author focuses on not repeating in future works. That aside, I’m still finishing out the series because I genuinely love it despite the errors
Amazing story. But the typos, clumsy sentence construction, and continuity errors are really annoying. Agnolthi is spelled differently from one sentence to the next. It varies from Green Reaper to Great Reaper between paragraphs and books. I genuinely love the storytelling and world the author has built but wish the editor caught these blatant mistakes. If not for them, I’d give these series 4-5 stars.
I’m loving the story, but there were so many errors in grammar that it was difficult to really enjoy. I’m also feeling a bit iffy about Zale: he seems a little controling maybe? I can’t quite put my finger on it, and the whole romance aspect feels too much like insta-love for me.
Here’s to hoping the quality picks up in the third book, but so far I have enjoyed Saraya’s story much more than Altara’s.

Enjoyed this read! Zale and Altara are so cute and the spicy scenes were good. The found family was found family-ing until they completely fell apart at the end, but I have faith everything will turn out as it should. I cannot WAIT for more crossover with Saraya, having her mentioned more is so much fun as a reader of both series! On to the next and final book yay!!
Ok book. I like the characters and the concept, however I feel like there’s no plot. When you think about the whole book, you realize nothing actually happened in the story until the last 10 pages and ended on a freaken cliff hanger again. I’m excited to finish the series & read the super exciting bits.
Another great addition in the world!! I really enjoyed this book, we get to see more of the island, specifically the forest. And a little bit of how the main island works. As well some different POVs! I can't wait to read the next one!!
When it rains it pours and Altara and Zale cannot catch a break. These endings are stressful but we knew the Reaper was coming but dang could he not rip out our hearts like this.
Didn’t like the beast kink, didn’t care about the relationship that is only described by physical attraction and the spelling and grammar mistakes for really annoying. I skipped a lot of pages and will skip the next book entirely. The side characters were the most interesting part of this book.
This is the second book in the series, and it definitely had my attention. Again, some of those editing misses took away from the overall quality. I did enjoy as we started swapping around the POV more through this book, I think it created an interesting shape to things. I did find myself rolling my eyes in moments, but I do like the characters a lot, so even in the some scenes that felt overdone, I really enjoyed the overall book.
The story keeps getting better and better, and occasionally more infuriating. In the best of ways. Heads up that this one follows suit by ending on a cliffhanger.
I really enjoyed this, I was up until 2:30 am reading it. I really like the world that has been built and the magic structure. It was also pretty steamy. I blushed many times
This was a little more disappointing but at the same time I know the final book will make up for it so I will buy it and continue to read this awesome.e adventure 😀
