What a conclusion!
I'm honestly still teary just thinking about it.
The Archer Queen gave us the powerful, emotional finale that we needed to wrap up the story of the Voltanius sisters, Saraya and Altara.

We follow Altara as she tries to sever the bond between her mate Zale and the Green Reaper in time to stop them taking over their lands of Ellythia and Lobrathia. But we also get the perspectives of several other characters that we have gotten to know along the way, and it really makes the story so much more dynamic, giving concurrent events and suspense when we have to wait to go back to a certain character. I loved getting to go back and revisit the Quartz battle from Zale and Tara's point of view, it was just as epic as I remember, only this time was more impactful, I think, and I had more emotions because I had gotten to know these new characters.

One thing I really love about Bali's stories is her ability to plan and plant easter eggs for her other stories and worlds, that take nothing away from the story at hand, but add so much for those readers familiar with her other works. I also love how strong her female characters are, and supportive of one another. The males in the story are wonderful, of course, but it's the women and the sisterhood that really make it.

The Archer queen had me laughing and crying, it had me gasping, holding my breath, and whooping with joy and triumph. A true rollercoaster of emotions and reactions. I am still not over how this book made me feel.
Honestly, anyone who loves a great fantasy romance with amazing plot, deep characters, woman power, humour, and darkness, plus some great spice will love this series.

This was a great conclusion to the trilogy and the Warrior Midwife world as a whole. The powerful bond of friends and family were front and centre and it’s absolutely wonderful to read a series where women aren’t vilified, placed into awful situations just for the shock value or competing with one another. There could have easily been bad vibes between Pia and Altara and the fact it was the exact opposite gave my soul much-needed maturity haha. There was a lot of personal honour subtly woven throughout as well (e.g. Camar’s mother) and I think that is what makes this so different to many other trilogies out there.

There were quite a few tissues used in the second half and my heart hurt for some of the girls. The end few chapters did feel a bit drawn out but still a good read.

Great conclusion both to this trilogy and the whole story arc - but for me, there was too much sex and it wasn't entirely skip-able. The world-building was rich, and the plot was truly fantastic but I just found I really couldn't like Zale even when we were supposed to. His possessive behavior, which is a staple of the trope of beast-mate, is repulsive to me and reminds me so much of an abusive partner. Really enjoyed it and will definitely keep reading this author! But this pairing was really not for me.

The epic conclusion that this story deserves. I am so glad I found EP Bali's writing because I have loved every bit of these 6 books. Even when she was breaking my heart I couldn't help but marvel at how beautifully the words were written.

I ugly cried, I laughed, I worried, and I cheered.... And I asked Ektaa "how dare you?" a few times. There were great Easter eggs for her other series so cleverly woven into this and it makes me even more excited to continue reading them.

I received an eARC for my honest opinion.

Wow, what an amazing ending to the series. I honestly cannot say that I would have changed anything.

This book you will follow Tara and Zale through their journey to destroy the Green Reaper, he has been planning for years now to take over the lands and rule them with his demons, but not if Tara and Zale along with all their friends/family have anything to do with it.

I loved watching the plot finally wrap all together in this book. I was cheering them on, yelling at Zale and Tara for being dumb, and I did have a few “NOOOO” moments with some sadness. However, overall I felt that this chapter of the series was completed, and it did not feel as if there was something missing. I did love the little hints left throughout the book of what another series, in another place, another battle might become…Fingers crossed. I really enjoyed reading Bali books, and I am so grateful that I was able to read them as eARC. I love how she writes, she will draw you into the world that you’re reading, to make you feel like you’re there with the characters. I love how she makes all her characters, the main ones, and the side ones all relatable and easy to connect with. The plot does not waver. You see that it is clearly coming to an end, and you will be sad because it’s such a wonderful book. I thought the pace of this book was just the same as her others, face-paced and easy to read.

I love seeing strong female characters and to see their mates there to support them is wonderful. I mean of course with Zale he is very protective of Tara, but you see that he lets her stand on her own knowing that he is there right there for her. I loved the connection to all the characters, how they all shared a bond together and they didn’t let anyone ruin that or try to get in the middle of it. You really get to see the power of “sisterhood” in this book, and I loved it.

You will have a few steamy scenes in this book, and I mean come on who wouldn’t want a hot, sexy, fictional male like Zale and his brothers as their mates. They’re so yummy!

I recommend this series to any who loves fantasy, romance, a great plot, great characters, with spice.

I want to thank E.P. Bali for the opportunity to review this book.

I had to sit on this review for a little bit because I wanted to think about the series as a collective. The build-up to this war had the right pay off. The issue is that all the loose ends had to be resolved. Everyone had a role and the chapters reflected their individual piece. I guess this is what happens when you build such a complex world. The things that I really enjoyed though is Altara and Zale weren't the only "saviors" aunties, friends, armies were getting their licks in. Jesus there was a lot of fighting 🫠 oh and of course they found time to do the do. Anywhose I still could not put this series down. I enjoyed the vibrant magic, I closed my eyes to Zale needing a powerful enough host to help him manage his rage, and held off judgement of the enslavement of banished girls. 😕 The writing was great, the friendship was fantastic, and magical lore was very intriguing. After reading this book though I thought I should have read Saraya's books simultaneously because it's happening at the same time and there's a bit of crossover.

CN: violence, strained familial relationships, child abuse, enslavement, coercion

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars!
The Archer Queen was a beautiful, satisfying conclusion to Zale and Altara’s story and to the series as a whole. It felt like such a full-circle moment, not just for them, but for Saraya and Drake, and the entire world E.P. Bali has built across both series.

I loved how everything was tied together in a way that felt natural and earned. The emotional payoffs hit hard, the action kept things moving, and the quieter moments were just as meaningful. Seeing the friendship stories wrap up was such a treat too. Rani and her partner finally getting their moment, and Malika and Atax with their firey love added some extra sprinkles of joy to the ending.

I’m a big fan of how the men in these books truly worship their women. It never gets old.

There was also a little nugget about the Travellers, which links back to Bali’s other YA series. I’m definitely curious to check that out.

Overall, this was a powerful, emotional, and very rewarding finale. I’ll absolutely be thinking about this world and these characters for a long time.

Now back to Her Vicious Beasts series, can't wait to finish Her Monstrous Beasts 😍

What a beautiful ending. Bali’s writing was flawless. She brought together all the pieces of the puzzle in a way that was so seamless and natural. Warrior Midwife had me in a chokehold. So I must admit I had high expectations for Altara’s story. This series for me started off slow because there was a heavier focus on the side characters. But surely enough it grew on me. Bali just has a way of telling a story, throwing hints throughout her books and drawing you in.

Women are the epitome of strength. Feminine rage was explored so thoroughly, I felt empowered reading it. The females in Altara’s story each dealt with different traumas, exiled for different reasons. That really brought so much emotion to the story. All paths lead to such a momentous ending. The reunion of the sisters, the islands and people. I couldn’t have imagined a better ending to Altara and Saraya’s story. Amongst the chaos of war, there was love, grief and happiness. So glad I stumbled across this series.

This is the conclusion to Altara and Zale's story! And what a conclusion! I loved this series and this world! I definitely recommend reading this book and this trilogy after the warrior midwife series. In this book, we get to see what the Green Reaper was doing with the islands and then we catch up with the final battle that we saw in the previous series but from the perspective of Altara and Zale. I loved seeing the other POVs from Altara's friends! Especially from Malika with her old one! Their relationship was hilarious and I'm glad we got to see some of it from her POV as we missed that between Saraya's friend and Drake's brother in the previous series and I definitely would've like to see that.

Overall, I loved this book and this world! I think there were a couple of easter eggs dropped for Bali's future why choose series so I'm excited for that!

The biggest book of the whole series. When this book arrived I was immediately excited when I saw how big it was!
It's also the last book of the series and it feels so weird that it's over now. I have come to love these characters so much and the story is so good.
This book is a whirlwind of action and so many amazing but also crazy things happen. But there are also a lot of sweet and beautiful moments.
I absolutely love Malika and I would love a novella of her and Atax having some adventures together or something.
But honestly all the characters are so fun.
Although I'm done with the series now I'm sure that this will be a series that I re-read and will think about a lot even after reading it.
The author has a fun writing style that just reads really easy and I like that. I can't wait to read more from her!

Had a bit of a reading slump come over me while reading this: it just wasn’t the right time for me to read, but after a few weeks break, I picked the book up again and Devoured it.

The story had a slow start in my opinion, but that might just be because I really disliked the physical setting the characters were in, but after about the 15-20% mark, things picked up and I had so much fun reading.

The plot was attention-grabbing (and holding), the world building was wonderful, the banter was so nice and I fell in love with the main cast, even the supporting characters (Malika’s chapter at the end was lovely!!!).

I’m sad that I’ve finished this series, but the ending was very satisfying nonetheless. Already ordered my physical copies of this series, as well as the warrior midwife to add to my book trophy collection :- )

In the thrilling conclusion to the Archer Princess trilogy, we start with Altara accompanying her mate Zale and his brothers as the Boneweavers support the Reaper through a forced bond they have no control over. Altara has her work cut out for her as she tries to help the Boneweavers sever the bond and save her world from demonic annihilation.

Meanwhile, her friends Malika, Rani and cousin the exhiled-princess Pia are forging their own paths and doing what they can to prepare Ellythia for the oncoming demon invasion.

Can they save Ellythia from the sadistic Reaper? Will Altara and Zale get their happily ever after?

Bali’s writing just keeps getting better - you won’t want to miss this one!

This is the final instalment in The Archer Princess trilogy and also wraps up The Warrior Midwife trilogy too. I thought it was a great finale and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these books!

As it’s the final book, a lot happens and I was on the edge of my seat for most of it, hoping for the best outcome for all the characters. Zale and his brothers are trapped under the reapers control and Altara has seemingly abandoned her friends in the hope of rescuing Zale and the others from their prison. With them under control, the looming war might not end in their favour. Altara has to do everything she can to outmanouevre the reaper to save everyone she loves.

‘Whatever it takes, Father. By whatever, even treacherous means, Saraya and I will see it done.’

Believing Altara has abandoned them, Pia, Malika, and Rani are working to save their home and fighting their own individual battles as they find themselves separated. It was nice to have their perspectives included in this book to get a full picture of what was happening in Ellythia. I love the friendships in this trilogy and how all the girls stay true to themselves and don’t change for anyone.

‘I don’t want you. I need you like I need air. I couldn’t breathe for those two weeks I couldn’t be with you.’

The romance was perfect in this book and Zale and Altara are not the only ones who find their happily ever after. It was nice to see some familiar faces and get a difference perspective for the ending of The Warrior Queen.

I really enjoyed this one and definitely recommend this series to all fantasy romance lovers!

such a phenomenal series

I loved every moment of this series, the up and downs, highs and lows.
I was on the edge of my chair the whole time completely mesmerised by the suspenseful storyline.
The detail and emotion written into this story was perfection, at times I had tears and other parts I found myself jumping up and down excited with the small wins.
The magical aspects had me completely intrigued, it was fascinating the thought process that would of been to write such a beautifully amazing series such as this.
I loved this series, honestly gutted it’s over. I’m definitely going to struggle to find anything to top this

Despite the main character being an infallible archer, this series somehow missed the mark. It’s almost impossible not to constantly compare it to The Warrior Midwife series, and that’s where things fall apart a bit.

The more the stories intersected, the more it became obvious the amount of passion that was put into that story that I didn’t fully sense in this one.

It was well written, just as all of this author’s works are, but it made me miss the magic of the previous series while I continued on in search of the same spark in this one.

When I first started reading the warrior midwife, I was intrigued by the premise. The world building has been amazing throughout this series. Now that I have finished with this final book I am so sad to have seen it end. I am a serial e-reader and I know have these books added in to my rotation. I loved Tara and Zales dynamic with both the possessiveness and respect on both sides. One of my favorite aspects is the goddesses. I highly recommend these books they are sooooo good.

This was a fantastic conclusion to this trilogy. I love how Altara and Zale’s mating bond functioned through while Zale and his brother in arms were under the reaper’s control. I loved the cross over of the characters from the Warrior Midwife trilogy. It was a fantastic emotional ride throughout this book.

I highly recommend this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Definitely my favourite of this series & the other linked series (warrior midwife). Really good plot & development. I did find the powers that altara/ zale developed to be a bit too divers at times & they just explained it away. I would’ve liked it better to have less in quantity and just keep the quality. Overall really like this book, too bad you have to read the first 2 to understand this one otherwise I would only recommend novel.

I absolutely loved the ending of Altara's story. Even though I was sad it was ending, the twists and turns to get to the ending made it worth it.
Yet another book to add to my re-read stack, which never happens for me. E.P. Bali did a great job telling the Voltanious sisters stories.

Zale and Tara

This was a perfect ending to this series and it answered all lingering questions without a doubt. I hope there are some spin offs or at least novellas to see how some of their family fair in love.

Didn’t hold my attention as well, there were some plot points that seemed to just be tossed in with little to no lead-up or bread crumbing, just fully dropped in as a deus ex machina reveal.

Still pretty fun though.

I liked that we got her friends’ stories/hookups too.

Fearless FMC. Dark hero.

The final completion of this saga, i have adored these books.

Zale is the perfect anti-hero/hero. Altara became my favourite sister, unapologetically herself and finding strength along the way.

was a good read

I really enjoyed all of the characters. The relationships moved at a realistic pace. The only thing I have to say against this series is I really think it should have been a reverse harem with all 4 of the main old ones
