‘The Witness’ is the fifth book in this high-stakes mystery series. It can be read as a standalone story or part of the heart-pounding Jack Valentine series.
Like Valentine and Carrie individually and how they relate to each other as partners. These two need a little bit of love life. Maybe Carrie's firefighter date will pan out. I realize Valentine's wife was the love of his life and had a violent death but he is ready to kiss him frogs and maybe even meet the second love of his life. Oh yeah, the actual stories are good too!
Was pretty good. Definitely recommend reading the others first though since it felt like I was missing a bit about the characters so some things fell flat. This was the first in the series that I read. Couple of grammer/spelling errors in the Kindle version but not too crazy to draw away from the story. I liked the twists :)
This book about Jack Valentine is very good. How and Casey work the case with many twists and turns makes this mystery even more engaging. If a reader enjoys a great drama, he or she will be greatly rewarded. Awesome job, Mr. O' Mahoney.
I can never give 5 stars because the law don't work the same for poor people that can't afford high price lawyer even though Jack is a p.i.poor peoples can't afford them either
Really enjoyed each of Mr I'm who eyes series. They are easy and entertaining reading with lots of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat! Sorry to be done with the series and look forward to the next one!
I liked the Jack Valentine character and his partner Casey. The story kept my attention and was not predictable as have been the investigator/lawyer books I have read recently.
B rated novel - decent plot but very simple read. It would not agree that it is a "gripping mystery". Written on a seventh grade level but sometimes easy reading is good.
