Secrets unearthed, promises made, and brotherhood bonds broken …
Less than three weeks ago, my life flipped on its axis. After infiltrating a world designed for men, my role in the brotherhood became more than I ever dared it could be. I had a mission: find out what happened to my best friend and destroy everyone who was involved with his disappearance.

Falling for them was never the plan.

But after my worst nightmare became my reality, and the past I thought I’d escaped came knocking at our door, the feelings we shared became something far beyond anything I could have anticipated. Before coming to Hawthorne Hall, I never dreamed I’d find anyone who would care for me. But against all odds, I have three.

Archer.
Kingston.
Cannon.

These brothers are determined to help me unravel the tangled web of deceit and lies that has been spun around this house. As my final test approaches, our progress is stalled at every turn. The justice I seek has never seemed so far out of reach.

The truth has two faces. One, we never saw coming.

Archer is a 95,000+ word novel, the third and final book in the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall trilogy, centering around three men and one woman. MMFM

Possible spoilers

God this was awful. Should’ve seen that one coming. Hate read the last book and so not worth finishing and definitely should’ve been a dnf but ya live and ya learn.

The whole thing at the beginning with elliot and Nick was so stupid. What even was the point?

The fact that the mmcs didn’t fucking kill any of these problematic people is beyond me. Like they really have a massive bark and no bite it’s embarrassing. Every time they said they were gonna fuck someone up im like lmfao ok yeah right. And it happened constantly cos these fucking side characters just didn’t learn and kept saying shit to elliot which made the men go feral…

The revelation to the guys that she had the phone was so stupid. Cos she thought they had something to do with wills disappearance and they were like no we didn’t and now we’re all back at square one. And when she further explained herself they got mad at her and were like so disappointed in her but that lasted all of 2.5 seconds and then they were back to fucking every minute.

And yeah. Don’t get me wrong I’m a smut lover HOWEVER. The majority of this series was a collection of misplaced sex scenes. For example, in the beginning elliot gets kidnapped by her psycho ex (such a stupid villain btw) and eventually gets rescued. And he “did a number on her” and she was traumatized. Ya know what they do? Fuck. Cannon has a seizure and you know what they do? Fuck. Literally every single second felt like it was them fucking.

And what was the deal with Archer and his step brother? That felt so incredibly unwarranted and such an unnecessary plot line. It felt so fake bcos it wasn’t mentioned ever being a thing until his book. And then since it was mentioned, it was like oh this happened and im gonna feel bad about it for 2.5 seconds and then i have my group im gonna be fine?? Like there was no point in ever bringing it up if it wasn’t going to be further developed. Which we know wasn’t gonna happen cos it was revealed at like 76%.

The ending was so incredibly anticlimactic. And I don’t get how the culprits had anything to do with anything. And how things went down was such a cop out. Ngl i did in fact skim the last few chapters cos I was ready for it to be OVER.

All of these characters were stupid as all hell I seriously cannot. Is it possible for the writing to be WORSE in this one ?? Cos I swear it was. There were so many more cringey moments that had me wanting to throw my kindle.

I’m regretting my life choices right about now.

This entire series has been amazing from page one till the end! In Archers story we get a lot more spicy scenes and building of relationships between all the characters. This book really completed the storyline and gave closure answering any questions you had in the first two books.

This series was by far one of the best I have read in a long time. I highly recommend it!!

The whole series was an emotional journey.
I think Leila did an excellent job in creating a series about four people, each with their individual flaws and weaknesses.
She articulated it perfectly.
The plot was just *chef’s kiss*
It was truly amazing, from the smut to everything.
There was one character in this book that truly connected with me, and I cried.
This plot twist really caught me off guard.
While I'm going to miss Elliot, Kingston, Cannon, and Archer, I'm looking forward to what's to come.

“You’re our sunrise and sunset and everything in between, Peaches."

What a finale. this was the first series I've read by Leila James and she did *not* disappoint.

I loved how much Elliot's character grew throughout the series. she is such a strong character and I really enjoyed reading about her. and the men were the same way. I loved them all (altho Cannon is my favorite)... altho they did start to get a little annoying in this one? everytime there was an issue they immediately thought it was their fault and were panicking about that. and I'm not complaining about that exactly? but just that it felt like a switch in their characters that I didn't really enjoy... if that makes sense? I still love them, I just got a little annoyed.

anyways, once again, I was hooked from start to finish. I loved how fast paced it was, the spice was hot and written really well. the way the reveals and plot twists were dropped had *my* jaw dropping. I definitely recommend this series if you're looking for a fast-paced, academic setting, initiation style plot, with several plot twists and is RH/WC that starts out as MFMM and moves to MMFM in book two 👀

*this is a dark romance so check the TWs*

I started the new year off with a bang. I have been anxiously waiting for Archer’s book, it’s the final book in the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall series and I was not disappointed. I couldn’t put the book down. It starts where Cannon’s book ended, and I was so caught up in the intrigue, deceit, and devious games as everything came together and all my questions were answered. Elliott continued to hold her own against the guys of Hawthorne Hall and there were times when I was cheering her on…she has moments of such vulnerability, while still being such a bada$$! Her relationship with Kingston, Cannon, and Archer continued to grow and there were plenty of steamy moments interspersed among the scheming and underhand behavior. I can’t say enough good things about this series…Leila James really knows how to build the tension, keep the reader guessing and engaged, with a plot that had so many twists and turns. This series is a MUST TBR! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Well what can I say….this was a phenomenal ending to a fantastic series. Firstly you must read Kingston and Cannon to know what is happening, if you haven’t then go…do that NOW! This is the final book in the series and as well as keeping you guessing throughout, with plot twists it does tie up all the loose ends. The overall story line is well thought out and I have loved getting to know the characters but, I was eager to get Archers backstory which this book dives into. The spice is….wow….and I especially love the group scenes! I highly recommend this series and can’t wait for the beginning of the next series! As usual please check the TW before proceeding with these books as they contain heavy themes.

Omg Archer is mind blowing. What a great conclusion to the series. The twist and turns continue. When you think you figure it out nope the rug is pulled out from underneath you. The spice levels continues to get hotter and hotter. The guys are still alpha bunch and Elliot continues to stand out, out wit and prove how strong she is.

5 ⭐️ Steam: 4.5/5. Strong Language: 4/5. Characters: 5/5. Plot: 4.5/5

Triggers Listed at the end of the review to avoid spoilers. The story involves dark themes. Check content warnings.

Archer is the third book in The Brothers of Hawthorne Hall series. It is imperative that you read books one and two, in order, to get maximum enjoyment from the story.

Our story picks up right where book two, Cannon’s, stunning cliffhanger left us. If you have been on the edge of the your seat waiting for this book to come out- you will not be disappointed. The twists and turns are methodically and brilliantly written & designed to both delight and frustrate the reader in all the best ways. This is a story with grit and substance that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.

Cannon, Archer, Kingston, & Elliot are wonderful characters. The bond they share is formidable. Watching it evolve and strengthen throughout the series was truly enjoyable. This was a wonderful example of a strong unit with no judgements or bias and I applaud Ms. James for her storytelling skill. I look forward to many more books.

Grab onto something solid loves, because Archer is one wild ride! I can normally maintain my cool while reading the spiciest of scenes but I found myself squirming and gasping aloud with almost every page!
Archer is the third book in the Hawthorne Hall Brotherhood and I found it incredibly fitting that our sexy, suspender wearing voyeur answers all our burning questions! I have been dying to learn more about the brooding man in the shadows and Archer did not disappoint. Elliot is one lucky woman!
I won’t lie, I held firm to my convictions as to Will’s whereabouts since Elliot’s arrival at Kingston University. I did not sway at all right up until the end when I was stunned to find out that I could not have been more wrong. My heart still hasn’t recovered from the shock!
Find a cozy spot and strap in. Don’t worry if you aren’t prepared for an all day binge, Archers got you covered!

Exceptional ending to this series. From the very beginning, I was hooked on the story and instantly found myself loving all of the characters. They each had something special about them that made me absolutely love each and every one of them. Throughout the whole series I loved watching all of the characters grow and learn more about them.

The writing was exceptional and the story was well thought out. Throughout it all, I continued to guess what was going on but never expected what actually happened. I was blown away and surprised that I never thought of it. Which is something that always impresses me because I am usually pretty good at guessing what happens.

I absolutely loved this book and was sad to see it end. Cannot wait to see what Leila James comes up with next.

Wow, what did we do to deserve that ending? It's not all flowers and rainbows, but it never is with Leila!

This book gives us so much more of an insight into the lives of Elliot's guys, but especially Archer. My heart breaks for what he went through, but at the same time if he didn't, he wouldn't be the man he is or at college with his people.

I love, (and also sometimes hate) the way Leila sucks us in to her stories, she throws us around, lets us breathe before shoving us under the water again. I did not get much sleep while reading this book. Forced myself to though since work got in the way.

This college, why choose, dark bully romance, has everything I could ask for, the mystery of Will's disappearance is solved, and oh man I did not see that ending. Everything is tied up in a little bow, no questions about characters and what happens next. I just hope we get to see some more of this quad in the future.

Once again Leila James has delived a damn good book! Archer's book in the final book on this series, and worth every single second I spent reading it. The twists that were thrown into this book were absolutely fantastic. Leila has solidified herself as a 1-click author for me. I will forever read anything she writes.

Oh my God! I’m not crying you’re crying. Once again, you’ve got me going through those roller coasters of emotions, and I loved every second of it. I love the intensity of their relationship, and I had no idea… No idea how it was going to end. You got me! Now I’m sad it ended, and I don’t know what to do with myself.
I guess I should go nurse my book hangover now…

Another review here summed up my feelings perfectly. Sex scenes, while good, often felt misplaced. A lot of unnecessary tragic backstories. A ton of lip biting, eyes crashing shut and spinning on their heels. Definitely was hate reading through the last book because I had already committed through the first two. Had to roll my eyes that there was just about no effort to investigate Will’s disappearance and then everything was wrapped up in the last 10%. This was advertised to be as bullies-to-lovers series and I feel a little duped. They coddle her constantly

What a ride this series has been!!

And in order NOT to give away any spoilers I have to talk in generalities. Archer is the 3rd and final book in the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall series.

Let me just say out of the gate…. Steam, steam… Holy Crap is there steam! … made more intense by the anticipation.

description

Next…. Leila James has this talent that I rarely see in other reverse harem (why choose) books. She makes me believe that these relationships could actually work in real life.

The author has created a believable situation of three best friends who have a very close relationship, like brothers. They saw each other through some hard times creating a trusting bond so they each are the family they don’t have at home. When Elliot enters the picture in book 1, joining as a pledge to Hawthorne Hall, she’s alone and estranged from her family and searching for answers to why her best friend disappeared as a pledge last year. These four connect on an emotional level over the course of the 3 books, building trust between them.

Most reverse harem books don’t have the depth of story and connection between MC’s that this series has. Therefore, I rarely believe that the RH lives on way beyond the end of those books. But James takes time to develop the emotional connection between Elliot and each of the men. That’s a new and unique dynamic here, getting insights into how close these 3 men are and how they can sense each other’s sorrow and happiness, supporting each other. And with the elements of the story, suspense and intrigue of what Elliot faces strengthens the bond between the men and also makes the bond with Elliot stronger.

When the sexual intimacy happens (and let’s just say 5 🌶’s ) It happens at the appropriate times to work with the bigger plot of the suspense part of the story and how the characters deepen their emotional connection with each other.. It’s not thrown is as a “oh look this would be a good place to add some hot sex”, which I think cheapens the relationships in most of the RH books I’ve read. It’s seriously steamy without being lewd as the emotional connections between all 4 of these people creates the intimacy.

Bravo to the author for making me, someone who isn’t normally a fan of RH books, a believer.

Leila James has done it again and given us yet another series of amazing books. First with the Rosehaven Academy and now the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall. What an amazing way to end the series, although I am sad and didn't want the series to end. The series follows Elliot, Kingston, Cannon and Archer.

What can I say about Elliot. She has some big Cohones and I absolutely freaking love her. Her strength and tenacity is an inspiration to all females. What she went through before joining the brotherhood and what she has had to deal with during initiation would want to make anyone cry and give up, but she proved that any woman can do something when they put their mind to it.

Kingston is fiercely loyal and a strong protector. He is the leader of the group and rightly so. He shows that he can handle a bunch of rowdy misfits in the house and at the same time step up and protect the ones he loves.

Archer is so smart and a perfect gentleman. He is the hot nerd that you always dream about. Oh and man the suspenders make you hope that he has a devious side and all the naughty things he could do to you with them. I felt horrible for him and the way he was treated by his family and am so glad that he had the support system that he found in Kingston, Cannon and Elle. I was so proud of him for finally sticking up for himself and saying enough in the end.

Cannon I would have to say is my absolute favorite. He is the strong silent type. He is every woman's dream man and the man that has naughty escapades in your dreams. He is a solid foundation for the group especially Elliot. The obstacles that he has to go through with his medical issues is heart crushing, but he shows you can still have a normal life. He shows Elliot that you can lean on him in hard times and he will show you love.

A lot of questions were answered in this last book from the previous books. There were some new suspense and action scenes. I highly recommend that if you want to read this book that you read the first two books otherwise there may be some confusion.

WOW!! We all know how amazing this series is but bringing it full circle in this book is one that is going to knock you for a loop. This story is filled with secrets, passion, bad memories, friendship, love, lust, desire and everything in between. You are going to lose it when all the secrets are revealed and the reality of their time together is something to cherish and love.

We know that Elliot has not had it easy pledging the brotherhood but her commitment and passion for her men: Kingston, Archer, Cannon is apparent in everything she does. This book is no exception and the way these 4 become closer than ever during this journey together. You will devour every sexy scene between them and the bond these four share jumps off the page at every turn. There are no words for how hot and bothered you will be when you get to these over the top scenes of pure passion and desire. Elliot is still searching for the truth about Will but she has her past catching up to her and she knows if she doesn’t come clean she could lose everything she needs and wants in order to finally be happy.

The men are determined to keep her safe and she is not going anywhere. She is theirs and they are hers so no matter what they have to do she will be safe! This is a beautiful ending to this powerful trilogy. Archer has some secrets he’s hiding as well but he knows he can trust them with anything he’s just not sure if he’s ready to expose himself like this. His need and desire for them is only growing everyday they are together and he won’t let anyone harm them even if it means he has to expose the ugliness he’s buried deep down for many years. This is going to take you on wild ride so buckle up because this ride is worth every second. It’s sad to say goodbye to these amazing characters but being within Hawthorne over these three books was a phenomenal journey! Happy Reading!!!

Archer is the third and last book in the Brothers of Hawthorne Hall series by Leila James. You absolutely need to read the books in order to fully understand their story.

Holy f*ck, Batman that was hot!!! Each book gets more intense, emotional, and sexy as sin. I can’t get into the storyline without spoilers so I won’t go there. I can say that I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. The whole series, really. I had to know what was going to happen next. Will she tell Archer, Cannon, and Kingston why she is there? Will she get the answers she is looking for? Are one of them involved in Will’s disappearance? What the hell happened?!?! And I was also on edge about the naughty times too and hot damn *fans self* and each time Archer touched his suspenders I would get all hot and bothered *swoon* I loved that in each book we got to know each brother individually and all together. It is soooo hard to have a favorite. I love them all so much!!

I am so excited to see what Leila has for us next! ♥️

P.S. Make sure to read the bonus!

Archer is the 3rd book in the Hawthorne Hall Series written by Leila James. This book is not a stand alone and you will need to read book 1, Kingston, and book 2, Cannon, first.

The conclusion in this steamy reverse harem college mystery ends with such power. I was kept guessing and on the edge of my seat from their steamy interludes to the mysteries about the characters and what made them who they were.

The adventures of the initiation games paint a detailed picture and you can imagine you are right there with them.

The emotions that is pulled out of you through different situations will have you feeling every heartache and pain.

The dynamic of the four characters meld in perfectly and makes for a cohesive relationship that is not easy to achieve.

This took me out of my comfort zone in a good way. I've read a few books with the reverse harem storyline, but M/M was a new one for me. Leila delivered the story line so well that I felt comfortable with the introduction and look forward to adding more on my TBR list.

Well done, Leila! The Hawthorne Hall Series book 3 is the first book into the year 2023. This book ends as a 5 star read for me.

I have said from the very beginning… before the first book in this series came out, that this series was going to be EPIC! And it definitely was that and so much more!

Leila James keeps you on your toes with the twists and turns… and the spicy scenes are above and beyond all expectations!!! You simply fall in love with Kingston, Cannon and Archer through this whole series… but I also fell in love with Elliot’s strength and sassiness.

This is a must read for all Dark Romance readers with a thing for Enemies to Lovers with a lot of angst and intrigue!

I have been anticipating this book since I finished Cannon and it did not disappoint. We start off just where the last book finished and the boys are trying to find Elliot who has been taken. Once again as soon as you start reading this story you are captivated and pulled into the pages with the characters. Leila James knows how to write some fantastic broken soul characters who make all your emotions bleed out as you read the pages. Kingston, Cannon and Archer all have things in their past that have broken them at some point and when Elliot is faced with her past again they are there for her in every capacity. The love they have for her was undeniable as they take care of her and each of them brings something different to their relationship. Also getting to see Kingston and Archer's relationship evolve and become stronger was heartwarming and amazing in so many ways. When some twists are thrown at them that only makes their bonds stronger you know that they can overcome anything. This book was amazing from start to finish and I could not get enough of the many twists that you don't see coming. I am sad that this series is over as these four characters have a huge place in my heart. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

What a conclusion to this amazing trilogy! I am so sad that this trilogy is finished, but you better believe I’ll be reading it again! These men own my heart. I cried 3 times during this last installment. The emotions, the trauma, the LUST, and the ultimate confessions of love just give me ALL the feels. I do not want to give any spoilers away, but let me just say I will continue to recommend this trilogy to EVERYONE!!!
