I just published one called Main Character Syndrome, Kindle version available at Amazon, paperback by tomorrow (2/21/24). Something brand new about artificial intelligence and mortality called Uneasy World was also recently published and is currently available at Amazon along with There Ain't Nowhere but Here about dysfunctional tenants and communities. Uneasy World is the hardest book I've had to write so far and I think it came out nicely. A few years ago, I founded a co. called Camp Elasticity Productions, edited and published an anthology called The Cool Zone, a revised edition of my first novel, Reality Stars, published three more, Problem Contest, Lucky Jokers, and Happiness, and started putting together a film. Take a look at my website for blog entries and podcasts. More updates are always coming soon.
This book illustrated with photos and art by your author is based on experienced events, and the only changes to that life-based narrative are artistic and emotion-based, like anyone else’s creative nonfiction, but I call it fantastic biography (Cf. Billy Childish). Main character Wally Jack Mack is a freelance metaphysician with a background of interest in the paranormal always expecting to be surprised by further discoveries. There are footnotes for most of the incidental esoteric references, in conscious mimicry of the state of awareness people currently inhabit where there’s no reason not to know all about something, or at least the nuts and bolts, if we want to, thanks to the www. Howard's unrequited crush on medium Kartinie Thinie’s essence is mirrored in the info-bytes and selections from uncanonized history it’s surrounded by; in both cases, experiences are detailed in which people find themselves drawn to things and feelings beyond themselves, to understand, define and know them fully, even knowing they can’t do it, even knowing they can’t be known, always looking for a way out. Life is a maze of classifications, requirements, backstories, obligations, creeds, categories and ambitions. Add religion, politics, freelance writing, romance and extradimensional channeling, online dating, then you’ve got Happiness. There’s a disclaimer about this one being based on our multivalent reality, since everyone lives in a cut-up of past/present/future/memories/plans/dreams/information/etc. Please enjoy.
