A high seas romance has never had such high stakes.
When Ramona King’s fiancé, Keith, dies from a gunshot wound to the head, she doesn’t believe the ruling verdict of “suicide.”
She suspects murder.
Keith has sunk all his money into a luxury cruise liner, along with an even larger chunk of cash that wasn’t his. Could that be why he was killed? Ramona books herself onto its maiden voyage to find out.
Her prime suspect is the ship’s owner, the devastatingly handsome and charismatic Damon Alexander.
Passions ignite when they meet. Damon can’t resist Ramona, unaware she’s out for revenge. Ramona has vowed nothing will stand in her way—but she’s never felt anything like this before.
Does Ramona have what it takes to bring the truth to the surface?

Ok, I will be honest, I wanted to enjoy it, but I did not as much as I hoped I would! I did read it quickly, but that was partly due to the weather, rainy, I was on holiday, and I had more time to read, no laptop and no TV. So what else you want to do if you do not wish to stare out of the window, or just spend time on your mobile. So I read it, but I was bit skipping pages in the end. It was far more romantic, and to me unrealistically romantic, that I got bored. Mind you, I am not fully romantic, but this was bordering totally unrealistic. And I will avoid saying why, because I do not wish to give you any spoilers. Yes there was the murder and the mystery, but that to me was bit rushed and Ramona sometimes made very stupid decisions, considering how smart she was supposed to be. Overall, I do not think I will try another, but I can imagine that some people will like it.
I enjoy this series because of the writing style- easy flow, well-defined characters and a wonderful sense of place. I don't like the unnecessary sex scenes (mostly skipped).
The plots were good as was the suspense, while the characters suited each role.
Loved this story, the characters. The ship, and passengers and beautiful places they visited. Sad to end the novel. Looking forward to reading more by this author
A lovely, lively tale of romance and intrigue on the high seas. This book shows a side of Faith Martin I haven't seen before: not just murder most vile, but a good romance with a bit of humor. I'll look for more like this by her.
Really exciting mystery with interesting main characters and really bad guys! Reflects the setting time in the late 1990's! I retired to FL then and have cruised the Caribbean and these islands in the story many times! Area as beautiful as described and cruising experience is a great way to travel! Unpack once and then enjoy! I love the Hillary Greene series and this series is quite different, with each book a standalone, no cliffhangers.
The descriptions of this lovely cruise ship and the tropical sites visited added greatly to this read. The graphic sex scenes seemed remarkably formulaic and predictable! The women were breathtaking and the men quite shallow but attractive.
