I never know how to review an anthology of short stories, as I read very few of them.

I think I liked the sweet and funny ones better than the strange tales.

While I enjoy PI novels, Marital Problems was just a bit off kilter and unrealistic.

The Lost Gold of Rhyolite was an interesting puzzle.

The Tabac Man is a fun espionage tale.

All In had me completely confused, as did Man of His Word.

Barbara Jewel deals with vampires, which is a genre I have little knowledge about, but basically is a police tale.

Unintended Consequences read more realistically than all of the rest.

No Angeles was interesting but I don't know if the science is real.

Two of the stories are about a wife getting revenge on a husband.

The Last Deduction involves Holmes and Lestrade with a surprising plot.

I won a copy and will be sharing this anthology with my mother who enjoys short stories.

Foot surgery. The worse pain ever. I needed distraction while waiting for the next pain pill. I purchased this book on the recommendation of a friend. My TBR pile was high as an elephant’s eye but I knew I couldn’t focus enough for a novel. I needed just a bite. Something short and sweet. Eureka! I ended up reading several stories but my favorite by far was Sense Memory by Paula Benson. Such a tasty morsel of a tale. It more than satisfied, it actually made me smile. Thank you Bethlehem Writers. Although you may prove to be as addictive as the Oxy.
