As an HSP and a psychotherapist, I found this book to be very basic and generalized. I think someone new to the term HSP could find it helpful. The book has good structure and gives basic guidelines for what it means to be an HSP and how to navigate that in relationships and life. I personally skimmed the whole book because I didn’t find it to be very informative or helpful, but I recognize that I am already very informed about this topic.
So often the world shames sensitive people just for being themselves. I get that too often. Of course this is an alien concept for the majority of the human population that is harsh and brutal, and rarely considers the next person. This book was definitely aimed towards me. It’s rewarding and validating to find a guide that understands and helps people who aren’t naturally “hard”, and have to take more time practicing standing up to people who won’t let up.
