He stole me in broad daylight and whisked me away to a land far, far away. But this wasn’t a fairytale. And he wasn’t my hero.
Broke and with nothing to lose, I thought I had no way to go but up. But boy, was I wrong! He took one look at me. One kiss, one passionate night. And that was all it took for my life to become his! Like I said, he wasn’t the hero. He was the villain. Nor was I the heroine, I was the villain’s plaything, bound by his contract.
Can I just say, what the actual heck did I just read? I can see the idea, and I think it would be good, but the characters fall flat and are unlikable. I am trying to give the authors some grace since English is not their first language, but the way Aaron describes Preeti is masochistic. Also, TW, there is def some SA. I don’t really vibe with the ‘her body is saying yes’ trope. OH, and it is way too short. The ‘cliffhanger’ isn’t gripping enough to make me want to keep reading.
