I LOVE THIS SERIES! This is how fated mates is done, with double virgins, AND they get their sexual awakening for the first time only when the two fated mates are close to one another or when they first meet, they get no hard on or get horny for anyone else but for their fated mate!
In this story we have Oran a scarred, hurt, sweet cinnamon roll orc. He was brutally tortured and experimented on long ago, and he still has scars he deals with, both on his body and in his mind. He doesn't react to his mate exactly like his brothers, and other orcs, because for him getting a whiff of his mate for the first time, it starts off being painful for him, and the pain in his chest also confuses him.....sweet Oran doesn't realize it is love at first sight. He only knows pain and anguish and he was ready for rejection and hurt. He also hates to be touched.
Ivy, (better call her Drozna though ;) is a no nonsense, sassy, boss bitch that was trained not to feel fear, but to fight. She is determined and goes toe to toe with the Orcs that kidnapped her. Oran guards the pit where she stays prisoner, but he vows to get her out. (He only guards the pit in exchange for money, and as a favor for having the orcs he works for save his life and help him escape the facility where they were tortured, so he feels he owes a debt to these orcs.) She is his mate though which changes everything, and he has loyalty only for her, and will protect her with his life.
She is a prisoner and she does try to escape, the kidnapper orcs beat her when Oran was collecting clothes for her, and when he comes back to take her back to the safety of his clan, he sees her bruised and bloodied, and he sees red, (WARNING: that scene was particularly violent and gory...I relished every bit of the bloodshed because they deserved it!). Ivy was confused and hurt, and she told Oran that she never wants to see him again, he wails in anguish, but goes after her, because even though he thinks she doesn't want him, he swore to protect her, even from afar. Ivy is tired and sad and when Oran calls to her, her body and soul and heart goes to him. She apologizes and they have makeup sex. (There is a lot of sex before that and it is hot orc style sex!) I loved this novel and I love this entire series!
This is fated mates done right! Oh, I will always love Oran the sweet cinnamon roll with a daddy kink, he really pulled at my heartstrings. All the heroes are great in this series.

Oran holds a lot of anger from his time being held captive and tortured before returning to Earth. Doing work for less than honorable orcs never bothered him. When him has a job to monitor a human that is being held captive, at first, he couldn't care less. That is until he recognized her as his mate. Ivy holds a lot of anger inside of her. When they come to try and get her grandfather to sell his marina, Ivy will fight all those who come. When she's kidnapped and thrown in a pit, she's not sure what to do. That is until she sees Oran and feels something stir inside of her. But, how can they be mates when Oran can't stand the pain of someone touching him? And, can they fight together instead of each other to get away from the orcs that kidnapped her? I'm absolutely loving this series! I love how the orcs talk and try to understand human phrases.

I have been waiting for Oran’s story and Dani didn’t disappoint me at all with it.
Ivy is loud, head strong, protective and stupidly brave. I adore her strength and fight throughout this story.
Oran is quiet and still haunted by his past when him, his family and the rest of orca were held hostage and tortured. I loved how he swallowed his aversion to touch for his mate and did everything in his power to protect her and their families.
Dani packed this with just as much emotion as she did action and threw in just the right amounts of Daddy kink and spice. This may be a read that’s on the quicker side, but this talented author didn’t slack on plot or character build and I loved every single word. I can’t wait to see where she takes this series!

En comprar a la historia anterior este fue raro, por decirlo menos, no entendí bien el rol de Oron y tampoco comprendí esa relación que comienza casi como un síndrome de Estocolmo. Si, yo sé que el la quería desde lejos con anterioridad, pero no ella. Y, como no sé entrego suficiente información respecto de qué pasó con él y cómo experimentaron con él no se entendía del todo por qué no se debajo tocar. Además, todo fue muy rápido, muy raro y las escenas de sexo fueron raras para mi. No me importa el sexo fuerte, pero esto fue raro, demasiado intenso y eso fue sin sentido. Espero que el siguiente libro sea como los anteriores, porque este me decepcionó.

I am loving this series so much!!! I think it is some of Dani's best work. Oran and Ivy are mates even though she tries to run from him and he doesn't like to be touched. They both learn to trust one another and begin having deeper feelings. With his magical orc appendage and tongue the steam level is high. Dani's sense of humor shinning through with some lol moments (her name in orc language 💩😆). The action when the saving takes place. All this makes this a well rounded story and I can't wait to read the next installment!

Dani is back with another great fated mate Orc PNR book that will leave you wanting more. I really enjoyed Oran and Ivy together. Oran is really sweet underneath a very tough skin. Ivy is awesome and is perfect for Oran. These two have some ups and downs with lots of drama and steamy but they do get a much-needed and deserved HEA. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Such a good broken hero orc book!
Ivy was great too! I looked forward to reading this book for weeks and it did not disappoint! It was a little dark, a little filthy, but absolutely sexy as all get out too! There was some Orc intrigue and bad human ing of course, it reads fast, but held my interest from start to finish. The intimate scenes were deliciously graphic and adorably schticky, but I kind of loved that about them too, lol!

Wowza!!! This was a definite surprise of ORC and daddy/breeding kink. If that type of trope isn't for you, then this is not the one to dive into. In this book, we get Oran, the standoffish brother that holds himself away from his clan. You get his side of it and I love that we see that. Ivy is his mate and she is an angry, spit fire of a female, she's perfect for him. You won't be disappointed.

If you love monsters, instalove, fated mates, and sexy times this is for you. The return of the horde series has all your smutty monster needs. From the creative anatomy of the orcs, with double the fun, to the fact that they literally glow when there lady is fertile. It's a wild ride, but a quick fun smutty read.

Oran watches and obsesses over Ivy but thinks he is too consumed by darkness to be good enough for a mate. However, he does end up coming face to face with Ivy when she is kidnapped by people he works with. I loved Oran and Ivy's story especially because it was so steamy and had daddy elements.
