In the final volume, Ichiro and Shiori get ready to spend the rest of their lives together as they plan their wedding. This was such an extremely sad read just because it was ending. It reminded me of when I watched the Barbie movie because I was so happy and sad at the same time! It was really lovely to watch the characters grow and really set into who they are as the series progressed. It’s sad to see it come to an end, but I’m excited to see what the author puts out next!
This volume isn’t all about the wedding, though. I loved that we got to follow all of the characters over several years and see where they’re headed. It’s so easy to see how they will each spend the rest of their lives. I also loved seeing Ichiro and Shiori’s family expand and see even them learn something new about the pact. It was fun to follow the different characters around in their own chapters.
It was truly the best volume yet and really ended on a series high. I’m so glad I discovered the series and will definitely return to it any time I need a pick-me-up. It’s such a positive series and while it was iffy on and off at first, it really came into its own and became something super positive and beautiful.
Such an incredibly cute ending! I thought that with the series being relatively short the ending would feel rushed and unsatisfying but it didn’t at all.
Every character got their own arc that was satisfying and showed some great development and growth.
I usually hate when there are time skips in stories especially near the end but the author did them well enough that I didn’t mind it. I actually enjoyed the choice as it let them explore more aspects of their relationship than would have been possible if they went at a slower pace.
I usually don’t care for romance all that much but this quickly became one of my favorite manga series and I’m glad it got such a good ending 😊
Absolutely loved this book! It’s wonderful to see what their future looks like after they get married. I feel like a lot of books end right when the couple gets married so this was refreshing. Things I wish the author expanded more on:
More communication between her and her parents
More about the past/the first person to inherit the star. There were quick flashbacks but it would have been more interesting to have a few more pages abt this
Absolutely loved this series and Im sad its over ;v; hope we get a season 2 to the anime soon!

Overall, I think that this series is a solid 3.5. I felt this last book was a bit rushed, and was not a fan of the formatting where the conclusion was just the very first bit of the manga. However, I do not think that this took away from my enjoyment of the overall story. I was rooting for the main characters all the way through the series and it was a delightful, light-hearted read. Would recommend if people need a slower manga series that lifts up the spirit.
This was a really good final volume. It did a great job giving conclusions to our characters and it used time skips to great effect. Having a relationship with adults dealing with issues and problems like adults was very nice. This was a short but sweet series that is worth the time and provides a rewarding payoff.
I am so pleased and happy with how this one ended. It gave me everything I needed from it and more. We got all of the resolutions we needed. Like Sweetness and Lightning, we got far in the future glimpses of everyone involved, and I really loved that. We get to see the kids grown and everything. I'm ready for the next series by this mangaka please and thank you!
Volume 6 concludes the story perfectly. I appreciated the art and characters throughout, though the MC’s fecklessness annoyed me.
Compared to the anime, the manga is a more nuanced experience. It’s nice to read an “Adult” manga where that term means stable relationships and balancing work-life responsibilities.
what a great ending!! I have to admit, the stinger part still feels so strange and almost underdeveloped...the ending with them talking and sharing (?) it left me with more questions than before LOL. but overall this was such a sweet, wholesome love story, with a heavy emphasis on found family! <3

Oh these two!! So much love!!! I am not the biggest fan of such sweet slice of life kind of stories but this one touched my heart. I think 6 volumes was perfect! Not too long and not too short! Plus, I adore the art. These covers were beyond gorgeous!!!!
This series was honestly sooo good. I loved the communication between Ichiro and Shiori. The children in the series were precious. The side characters were all interesting.
It has an amazing ending that wraps everything up so well. I'm so happy I read this!!
This was a great ending to the series! I’ve been so excited for the wedding volume and we get a fast forward through their future together ::chef’s kiss:: it reminds me of old school manga when we get a time jump to satisfy all those HEA needs
