Tinsel is in love with Jack since the first time her brother North brought him to their house on a college break.
Since they can't be together, of course they became the best enemies.
Tinsel is always passing tickets to Jack.



So much antagonism, one day would have to break, and this is our story.
Jack and Tinsel decide to fight for each other.
Tinsel finds out she likes Jack to boss her around.
But Jack still has to talk to North, he needs for her brother to approve them.

I liked how playful the story went as well as how witty and fun the h was. It was cute and I could've almost picture the romcom situation both were in. It was sweet, fun and, surely, steamy.

Espero en este estilo de lectura divertirme, acepto el insta-todo, lo azucarado, algo de cursilería o exageración no me importa tampoco pero lo que intentó ir con humor para mí quedó en una trama bastante tonta.

Tinsey y Jack actuaban como dos adolescentes. No me divirtió exactamente las peleas de estos dos, Jack me pareció un idiota y se suponía que Tinsey era policía? La razón por la que él se rió de ella y la trató mal fue porque era hermana de su mejor amigo y temia perderlo todo si no salía bien?! Cuántos años tienes Jack? Él actuaba todo posesivo-obsesivo y mantenía las distancias con la mujer que supuestamente amaba hasta que ella lo provoca y se rinde?! Toda esta situación entre ellos me pareció ridícula. Y después todas las escenas de sexo simplemente las pasé por alto. Era más de lo mismo y no me importaba si terminaban juntos o no ma verdad.

Me gustan los libritos cortos, con su parte sexy y divertida con ambientación de pueblo pequeño pero DÓNDE ESTABA MI NAVIDAD AQUÍ? Lo siento pero este de AR no funcionó para mí.

This was a quick story, in every sense of the word. At times it felt rushed, and it skipped over quite a bit of detail, making it frustrating for the reader because it left so much out that really needed clarification.
The romance was a bit stilted and the author definitely hurried through it. One minute the main characters were arguing, the next second they are making out and the story was all but over.
It was also infuriating that the two main characters had the push/pull for years...and all because of the "bro code". If the MMC had truly fallen in love at first sight with his BFF's sister, nothing should have stood in his way...except her age. It wasn't clear how old she was at their first meeting (the author never mentioned her age, just that her brother and the MMC were in college). But to go for YEARS suffering in silence, only to find out his BFF already knew (and approved) of his possible relationship with the FMC was maddening. Now, the FMC's hesitancy in revealing HER feelings was understandable because the MMC's attitude towards her always came across as angry and hateful, so for her to not say anything that would incur rejection made sense.
However, when things finally heated up and came to a head, it went way too fast and was irritating because it just wasn't plausible. Sure, they each already loved each other, so it was easy to see that coming to light fast, but to just...end it as the author did was like going 120 MPH and hitting a brick wall without putting on the brakes.
Other than that, the book was pretty decent. Not her best work for certain, but she has had worse. I guess it was worthy of a three-star rating, but definitely nothing higher.

Also, it's extremely vague what happened with his parents and the true impact of their deaths on him. Jack is so afraid of getting hurt again, that he wasted all that time not pursuing Tinsel because of that fear, but since his backstory is so vague, I found it impossible to empathize.

So I'm giving two stars for Tinsel, but otherwise the story was rather messy.
