In the second book of the Game of Freedom series in the WarSpell multiverse we see how the Merge world is responding to the new situation. Vicky Hill gets to meet Vectoria the half-orc intercessor of Twir, who is the other half of Vicky's merge. And an A-Team is sent to Twir's world to help Francisco and Vectoria create a nation of free orcs. Well to make sure that the American Company Buckley Equipment gets access to the Amber and Jet mines in and around Half-Orc bay.
Chong May have bitten the dust but the orc gods Kon and Mon are still there and still encouraging their orcs to kill Francisco Vectoria and the gang. And the A-Team—as good as they are—still haven't realized just how rough the orcs and their gods play. Or what they are going to have to put in the pot to have any hope at all, of winning the Game of Freedom
And all that is before the pantheon of the good gods gets involved.

The Saga Continues

In book two of the Orclands we are reunited with our intrepid heroes from book one as their merge world counterparts become more directly involved. Unfortunately the American ambassador who arrives is trying to follow the extractive colony style of alliance that created the entire concept of a Banana Republic, a weak easily controlled nation where greater powers could act as the power behind the throne covertly buying off or coercing the leadership to grant favorable terms to US or European companies. Those companies in turn exploit the cheap labor and abundant resources while funding the politicians who support them back in the powerful home country. Such systems are the height of paternalistic colonialism as practiced in the 17th through 20th centuries by every major power in Europe or North America. Very well done, highly recommended.

Best Pair of Adventure Fiction Authors Going

I haven't had any more enjoyable reading experiences the past year or two than catching up with Huff and Goodlet's several different series. As fun as their contributions to Flint's 1832 and related series have been, their own series are even wilder and more fun. They write well and they write fast, so there's something new every few months!

2nd in a great series

First the world. Very interesting and set up with limitless possibilities. This series Is an example. Going in a completely different direction than expected, but I am loving it. Love that we get to see the interactions and affects across both worlds.
