The Complete Appleseed Creek Mysteries by USA Today bestselling author Amanda Flower
A Plain Book 1 While her Cleveland friends relocated to Southern California and Italy, 24-year-old computer whiz Chloe Humphrey moves with some uncertainty to Appleseed Creek to direct technology services at a nearby college. Her first acquaintance is Becky, an ex-Amish teenager looking for a new home.
While driving Chloe’s car, Becky collides with a buggy, killing an Amish elder. But what looks like an accident is soon labeled murder when police discover the car’s cut brake line.
Now, Chloe must take on the role of amateur sleuth to discover who the real intended victim was before the murderer makes a second attempt. Becky’s handsome Amish-turned-Mennonite brother, Timothy, a local carpenter, comes in handy along the way. With God’s help, they’ll solve the mystery that’s rocking this small community.
A Plain Book Two The people of Appleseed Creek in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country are under attack. Soon after the dust has settled on a buggy accident that turned out to be murder, an unknown assailant begins cutting off the long hair of Amish women and the beards of Amish men.
New to the area, computer specialist Chloe Humphrey may not share their customs, but she is certainly alarmed over these crimes against the Amish and worries how such events will impact her growing number of friends who are more connected to that way of life.
In this small community, when Chloe discovers the body of an Amish businessman who was stabbed in the back and whose beard was cut off, she knows that finding the murderer and restoring peace to Appleseed Creek is as much her responsibility as anyone else’s.
A Plain Book Three It’s Christmastime in Amish Country, and Chloe Humphrey has begun settling into her life in Appleseed Creek excited to see where her new relationship with Timothy Troyer will lead. Unfortunately it leads to murder when the couple discovers the body of Amish teenager Katie Lambright while on their first date.
Near the scene there is evidence that Timothy’s friend and auto mechanic Billy Thorpe is involved with the crime. The police reveal Billy is not really who he said he was and has been living the last decade in Knox County under a stolen alias. Now, Chloe and Timothy must find Billy, bring him to justice, or prove his innocence.
A Plain Book Four The Amish community in Appleseed Creek’s new bishop believes the best way to help his district in the struggling economy is to increase tourism. He invites Blue Suede Tours from Mississippi to visit the community and asks his district to host the southern visitors. The Troyer family agrees to participate in the tour with an old-fashioned milking demonstration on the family’s dairy farm. But when two Mississippians die during the milk taste test, the local police chief believes someone poisoned them, and Timothy Troyer’s father is her number suspect. Computer whiz, Chloe Humphrey, jumps onto the tour bus as an undercover tour guide in order to prove her boyfriend’s father is innocent despite the Troyer family’s reservations about her and Timothy’s relationship. If they solve crime, will Chloe and Timothy finally prove that they belong together or will the investigation be the final act to tear them apart?

I just finished the first book in this book that includes the first three books, and it was great! Love the main protagonists and the unique story, very difficult to put down, and I jumped right into the second book. Very good...and surprising~ twisty-turny mystery! Quite suspenseful, as well. Highly recommend!
Just finished the second book in this series, and it also rates 5-stars and a place in My Favorites! I am so pleased with the surprising twists that both of these books had! If you also love unexpected twists that surprise you in your crime-drama- mystery reads, you would be very happy with this series! Now, on to book 3! :D
I happily rate all 3 -5-stars! I highly recommend this Amish-themed mystery series.I will definitely read the 4th book in this series~A Plain Malice, and I hope there will be even more to come.
I hadn't read any books by this author & I wasn't disappointed this is a 3 book trilogy but there is another one after these in the series Cholesbury moves to Applebee's Creek as Director of Technology at the local university & in each of these books there is a murder In the 1st book she meets Becky & her brother Timothy he left the Amish years earlier Becky more recent Over the books Chloe & Timothy get closer while they investigate the murders, police chief Rose ask in some for their help as Chloe is the one who finds the bodies I found these books a very good read not the same as Agatha Christie but easy reading but not letting on who is the murderer I believe that this author has won the Agatha Christie award for her books
I love Amanda Flower she is a great person, I met her in Middlefield at a book signing in 2013 these two books were out and A Plain Disappearance was coming out. She writes down to earth Amish stories. Keeps you in suspense until the end. Looking forward to the next book.
While not too mysterious or suspense, the overall story was good. I like the interaction between the Amish and the English. The author also did a good job of informing the reader of the differences within each group of Amish.
I really enjoyed these books. They're well written, good mystery, and some faith mixed in without being preachy. I enjoyed the development of the romance, and how Chole came to love the Amish family. I recommend these books!
