The infected continue to rage across the continents as the Familia's hit squads close in on Chris and crew. Between the baldies, the Nera Guardia, and the powerful undead factions that want him dead Chris doesn't see how his situation could get any worse. Now he has to keep his head above water while supporting his friends in a fast paced ride down the River Styx. Wait a second? Did you say werewolf zombies???
This third novel in the Exploited Blood series sees Chris and his crew globetrotting their way through the last desperate throes of a dying human civilization. Join them as they do their best to fight back the darkness and breathe life back into humanity.
Living in a lighthouse as a child led me early to a love of reading. Despite what you may have been told the life of a lighthouse keeper's son is not all Glamour and Parties. There's a lot of time when there really isn't much to do besides wonder if the fog horn has finally made you deaf or watch your dad pull fishing lures out of different parts of people's bodies. (You'd be amazed!)
Two of my favorite houses growing up!
I read. I read a lot. We had a 'reading caterpillar' around the room at my school where every time you read a book you put your name on your color paper and hung it up. The teacher had to give me two colors because it was looking more like a worm than a caterpillar. I devoured CS Lewis before moving on to Tolkien. Reading has continued to be a big part of my life. I've moved into Alternative Realities by guys like Stirling and my guilty pleasure is Zombie novels. I can't seem to get enough of them!
I like reading about the extremes people will go to to survive. The ones who can rise above the rest and keep their sense of right and wrong. When humanity crumbles around them these flawed heroes stand tall and try to make their way. They go from struggling to pay the phone bill to struggling to keep themselves and others alive. I like to see how this either hardens or breaks them. I think these stories speak at a very primal level. I enjoy the journey greatly as I get to tag along seeing how the survivors manage and how the experience forges them into something more than they were.
I look forward to sharing the journey with you all!
Really like these books, the characters are great and importantly believable. All horror and zombie genre fans should read these (and the authors other books as those are great reads too).
This was my favorite book in the series so far. Chris is becoming the warrior he was destined to be. The gang battles from America into Egypt and Africa before coming back to North America. No spoilers read this edition as Chris learns how to use his immortal powers to help humanity survive and the people he loves.
Remember Dracula? And those romantic vampire movies? Well forget those, this is an entirely different timekind. Beings who can have been around for millennia. They released a plague upon the tstic seriesearth to reset mankind’s society.ild ride As Get ready for a wild ride. This has started as a fantastic series. Looking forward to the next book.
This is a new angle fora vampire saga. Loving it and am awaiting the next books to come along. Like the mixture of characters. Wonder what their new America will be like? Part of me hopes in the that the remaining familia gets parachuted over Africa.
This is Book three of the : Exploited Blood Book Series
This was another great read so much is happening I'm loving the different factions in the vampire community . Looking forward to the next book in this series.
The story continue, albeit on a different and unexpected good arc. Still loosing a star because of the lack of commas and some proof reading that wasn't tight enough. There is enough phrases in all the series that don't have commas which is not only annoying but confusing, especially for a non native english speaker like me. I had to read them 3-4 times to understand the meaning. A proper use of commas would greatly improve the story.
Note to the author: you can't have too much commas. I'm a writer myself, and, when I proofread my texts, I ALWAYS read it loud, so I know every time if a comma is needed, as you have to make a pause between sentences to keep the phrase “dynamic” (and you need to breath to keep it flowing naturally)... 😉
But despite those details, this is a good story, anyway.
I am really enjoying this series of books. It is an exciting read with some scary characters. It reminds me a lot of the SLOW BURN series! My only complaint is that the author needs to get some proof readers for just a few things. I've got to go now. I'm starting book 4 now. 4 and 1/2 stars!
I haven't been able to put the books down once I started this series. My housework is going to hell and I'm getting tired of eating TV dinners and canned foods so I can spend all my time reading. Highly recommended. This author is worthy to be put on the pedestal next to Stephen King and Dean R. Koontz.
Well here I am again. Book 3, What can I say, but it was Great. The Rite. As good as the first 2. It’s non stop. The world is all, well I can’t say anymore. Book 4 here I come.
I’m enjoying reading this series. Strong story, good writing, near-flawless editing. Jumping into Book #4 later today. You won’t be disappointed if you begin reading Exploited Blood.
Book 3 was full of running from danger and to trouble. The gang got close to each other, especially every time they were held captive. The excitement never stopped.
I enjoy a good zombie book. Adding the vampire was going a little over the top, but I was adjusting. The icing on the cake was the sex scene in the middle of it all, like it had to be thrown in. Way to much for me...just couldn't finish. And I enjoyed the other 2.
