The saga continues for Great-Great-Grandmother Annabelle as the Brooks family learns more of their family history and the legacy she left for them. Settling in and enjoying her new life with her Cherokee family while navigating the role of a young mother, she learns more of her family’s traumatic past. As conflict soon arises again, this time from the Lightning-Strongman family in addition to an ever more persistent threat from Indian Agents, Annabelle and her family will all stand before the two wolves while making daring choices to confront the past and fight for their future.

This could be it's own book. Loved that native culture was heavy, it was emotional (made me cry), deeply written, the action helps push it forward and the family ties make it so good. Honestly thought it would end here but definitely ready for what's next.
This is the third and final book of the A Dying Truth Exposed series and once again, I’m amazed. I really enjoyed reading the first two books and so I took a dive in this one. The author, Marcus Abston’s writing is intriguing, one of a kind and it keeps me coming back. Albert Brooks continues to share stories of his Great-Great-Grandmother, Annabelle and the legacy she left for them.
In this book Annabelle has started a new life with her Cherokee family and her husband John.
Annabelle and John expand their family and Anabella gives birth to her first son Joesph. The family welcomed the baby with joy. David, John’s first child, is also happy to be a big brother. Annabelle shares a beautiful bond with David and considers him her own. It doesn’t take long for Annabelle to get pregnant again, this time with her twin daughters Rain and Jannie and then with her last child, Jonathan.
Life is good but not perfect as the conflict starts again. Lisa is in deep distress after getting sexually assaulted, there is a shortage of suppies and Cherokee children are are being kidnapped away from Tahlequah.
I really don’t want to get into the story because it’s not fair to the author or to you. Read the book and enjoy it for yourself. I will add that I enjoyed reading this entire book series. It really opened my eyes to a lot of things that happened in the past. It was very inspiring to read Annabelle’s journey through life. I also loved how the story was told from an ancestor’s point of view.
𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸: The Two Wolves 📚 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿: Marcus Abston ✍️ . . 🚀 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: The Two Wolves written by the author Marcus Abston is historical fiction. It is the third installment in the Dying Truth Exposed book series. Annabelle has been living a good life with husband John and children: Joseph, David, Rain, Jannie and Jonathan. However, their happiness didn't last longer. The kidnapping of children in their little community of Tahlequah shook everyone up. John and Annabelle were worried. They knew that they had to do everything in their power to save their family. With the Indian Agents on their heels, will John and Annabelle be able to save their loved ones on time?
Lisa's story will also keep you involved. This is a captivating book that hooked my attention from the first page itself. The story is entertaining. You won't feel like putting this book down without finishing it. Those who enjoy reading stories involving love, determination, courage, hope, loss, etc should get their hands on this one. I enjoy Marcus' writing. The Two Wolves book is worth the wait. Go with it without any second thoughts. Historical fiction buffs would enjoy this story for sure.
🫀I was finally able to get my hands on this thrilling read and another phase of the story of the great saga and I’m just so amazed, the story continues but now has different dimensions to it and it’s time to make a choice between the good and bad simultaneously along with getting along and coping up with all the discoveries that are made in the story.
I feel this has to be one of those books that has stored a lot of surprises and twists and it and no doubt it’s not just a story of legacy and history by a story of revolution, decisions that can prove game changing and a story of how we carry the past and the emotional baggage no matter what! The language is simple yet it’s so classy and elegant, the narration is smooth and really has a flow to it, The Two Wolves is not a fantasy tale exactly as it may sound but a story that deeply touches the human nerves.
I really think it can also be read as a standalone but you’re sure to miss the good parts in the previous reads, I really really loved it and in the end I feel I was always wanting for more because it was so so good. I will definitely recommend it, go for it.
Extremely well written with twists you honestly don't see coming. I loved seeing Annabelle as a young mother now and the many family themes. I found myself just going deep into this especially when it came down to the conflicts that came up especially involving Lizzie and Lisa. This is great historical fiction and honestly it could be read as a solo book. Even better to me because of the native culture that's heavy in this book revolving around the two wolves. Can't wait for book 4.
Okay I have to read book 4 because this cliffhanger is... I won't spoil it but wow. I also love how Native culture is so strong, as the title of this book is fire... it should be called The Two Wolves
This book is great. Have learned more about the relationships between Native Americans and Black Slaves. The white man is such a hypocrite. Divide and conquer making the people they want to control dislike and mistrust each other. They take everything from them. I have already contacted the author and a 4th book is coming.
