Greg Hatcher (1960-2021) was a dedicated teacher and writer. Before his passing at age 60, Hatcher created one of the most original characters in New Pulp fiction, Dr. Fixit, the man who invented super villains’ fantastic machines. This volume contains his first three published Dr. Fixit tales plus the fourth, which was completed by fellow New Pulp Scribe, Fred Adams Jr. It is a fitting tribute to a truly fine writer. Included is a Foreword by Greg‘s widow Julie.

Did you ever watch those old movies and wonder who the villains got to build those undersea bases, volcano lairs, attack zeppelins and tanks that can turn into a submarine at the flick of a switch? Well, does Greg Hatcher have an answer for you! And it's a doozy! Greg Hatcher's Dr.Fix-It mixes equal parts James Bond superspy action, Adam West-era Batman, with a sprinkling here and there of everything from Silver Age comic books and Paperback science fiction all from a fresh new perspective. This collection features the first three Dr.Fix-it Adventures as well as a fourth, uncompleted story finished by fellow new-pulp author Fred Adams, jr. These are stories written with a lively imagination and sense of joy and wonderment. This is tempered with a healthy does of crusty cynicism beneath which beats and warm and comforting heart.
This is glorious fun, and it's criminal that we won't see more like it.
