Renting a small attic room from an eccentric family of six and having a curfew isn’t exactly the glamorous life I’d envisioned when moving to L.A., but then Caleb Miller shows up and turns my life around in one unforgettable day.
Time spent with him is perfect, until he tells me to take a hike...
This is the second romantic comedy written by Sophie-Leigh Robbins that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed "Snowflakes and Sparks" and wanted to read more by her. "Take a Hike," has two relatable main characters; June and Caleb. I thought their story was very cute and fluffy. It is short and fast-paced, but the plot, set of characters, and lightheartedness makes it a lovable read.
A bit too fast-paced for my liking, but understandable since it was quite a short story. It was a fun read, the characters had to grow on me at first, but I quickly began taking a liking to them.
June relocated to Los Angeles and worked in catering after deciding to leave her friends and family behind, since she was keen to make new friends and connections she made the decision to organize a hike where she met Caleb, a Celebrity PA. It was a feel-good romcom a bit too fast-paced for my liking, but understandable since it was quite a short story. It was a fun read. If you want to cross a book from your reading goal this is the perfect book for it as its so short and light!
A super cute short romcom where June sends an email to everyone at the set she caters to for a hike. She has extreme faith in anyone showing up: and luckily for her, Caleb did. Together they took their nature walk and I had a lot of fun seeing how they interact and the fake phone calls/real call comes in trope that happened to June always gets me laughing!
Definitely recommend for a fun and lighthearted read!
A sweet clean novella about caterer, June and Caleb, a PA to a Hollywood star, who meet on a movie set. They enjoy a hike together and find that they really like one another. But true love does not always run smoothly.
A charming read with endearing and relatable characters.
