Sie fragt sich, ob ich gefährlich bin. Schwierige Frage …

GUNNER

this book did not disappoint! Gunner is one big bad alpha but underneath he's just waiting for his other half. Alix has had a hard and lonely life and when her sister goes missing she's beside herself. Gunner is floored when he first sets his eyes on Alix and he knows life won't be the same. I absolutely loved this book and am anxious to see what's next!

Gunner was the fourth book in the Lords of Carnage series by Daphne Loveling.

Gunner Storgaard was the Road Captain for the Lords of Carnage MC. He never planned to settle down. His mother and the MC were his family and loyalty ran deep. Then one night his path crossed a woman in need.

Alix Cousins was desperate to find her sister. She hadn't heard from her and needed to know she was safe. She went into a seedy bar to confront the last person she was seen with. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Alix, her drink was drugged. Fortunately a handsome biker watched the whole thing and came to her rescue.

Once the stage was set, the storyline focused around the puzzle in finding Alix's sister, Eden. The relationship development was woven into the suspenseful saga.

It was a fast paced read with a simple plot. The only downfall was the many editing errors. There were more than what's acceptable; however, the characters were strong so it helped to offset it. Thus my 3.5 rating, which rounds to a 4 on this review site.

Both characters were likable and I loved that there was very little drama surrounding the relationship. It wasn't instant love but the time period covered a short period, so once they recognized it for what it was, they embraced the possibilities.

I continue to love the series. I'm not sure the next Lords of Carnage to fall, but regardless, I look forward to wherever Loveling decides to take us next.

why does this book has such a high overall rating? it was average. the MMC was such an ass, even for a mc guy. like I wanted to slap him over the head a few times.

also, what is the FMC s age?? I really tried to calculate it, but nope, the clues were not clueing 😂. I assume there's quite a big age gap between them, but I cannot prove it, haha.

they were both immature, and their relationship was purely smexual. Which is fine, if the lust is the first one that appears. But, I mean, why did they loved each other in the end? I don't know.

anyways, I will continue, because I like punishing myself, it seems 👀.

Just ok MC read

First this is not one book but two. You get book one Ghost at 54% of Gunner. A lot of miss-spellings, a lot of words placed that didn't make sense. Shallow character development, especially in Ghost. The story in Gunner was a lot better than Ghost. Ghost was ridiculous. Examples: Jenna hides the fact Ghost aka Casper has a son for four years, as soon as they see each other their back to bumping uglies and she still keeps his son hidden, then she tells him finally pretty much end of book and he's all that's ok we're a family now. Wtf?! Tell me you would act the same missing your sons first four years of life? No just no. Hard sell in this book, had I read Ghost first I wouldn't have continued on. 2.5 stars mainly for Gunners book.

I am so happy I dove into the Lords of Carnage series! I have truly enjoyed these books so far and have a feeling I won't be disappointed with any of the others! Gunner meets Alix by chance at a local bar. She happens to find herself in some trouble and he can't help but to interfere. I like how their chance meeting turns into more, with him offering to help her even though it isn't really his style. The two of them definitely have chemistry and neither of them really even know what's happening between them because it's happening so damn fast! There is a good amount of suspense in this book regarding Alix's sister, keeping you reading on so you can find out what's happening with her. I did feel that it deviated just a bit from the story line that had been building in the previous books regarding the Lords of Carnage club business and what they had been dealing with but I still couldn't put it down! Can't wait to read more!

Daphne Loveling does it once again. The Lords of Carnage series has been one of my favorite MC series yet. I love that I can read them however I please and as standalone. My love affair started with Thorn and only grew as I read Gunner. The men in these books are strong and full of love and the women aren't your typical damsel in distress; they are fiery and can match their men without blinking an eye. I can't wait to continue this series.

I think I might be tiring of the MC storyline, and was hoping for something a little bit fresher here. That said, for MC addicts, this was well written and had plenty of what makes these books appealing. (Heroine strong, feisty, and fun -- I really liked her) -- just felt everything got resolved way too fast!

Gunner was the fourth book in the Lords of Carnage MC series.

Alex arrives to town looking to find her sister, who disappeared a couple weeks previous. Gunner is taken back when he first encounters Alix as she entered a MC bar without a second though to find her sister, only to discover the other clubs memeber had drugged her drink Gunner takes care of Alix and ends up helping her and falling in love with her.

Lovelings' style of writing undoubtedly rocks the MC series with strong herione characters. I poke the straight to the point plot storyline. It's refreshing to have a story delivered in 311 pages and not be fluffed out with pointless plot twists.

Happily will progress to the next in the series, really enjoying the fun each story brings.

I found the time frame for the main story improbable and unbelievable- it all felt rushed and thrown together to meet a deadline. Yet another vertically challenged h; I’m getting so fed up with so many short arse leading ladies in all types of romance novels I come across. Let’s have more Valkyries! Star deducted for that, the smoking habits depicted and the use of ‘impossibly’ when it’s obviously not. Gunner deserved better than this.

Daphne Loveling does not disappoint with this book. Gunner is a fast-paced, steamy bad boy MC romance story that is well-written, has a great storyline, and hot bikers.

Just so-so

## just OK for me. This didn't excite me. The heroine lacked personality. So lackluster. And the hero wasn't much better. Of course the heroine was poor, the sister was more beautiful than the heroine, and naturally there's an altercation with the clubwhore who's been bedding Gunner. Too clichéd for me. No the worst, but not the best.

Ok, I've read enough of these books that I think I've figured them out. There are always two plot lines:
1) Biker gang plot that flows through all the books
2) Individual romance for each book

I am quite enjoying the underlying biker gang plots, although I do think the author needs to add some more depth to them. The gang flip flop between being hardened criminals and going legit, so their motivations are difficult to get behind and you don't really know what you are going to get with each new book.

The romance in this book was really hard for me to get behind. Once again, we are told that the female lead is spunky, independant and fierce but she actually isn't and needs saving a lot of the time. She has moments of courage but it immediately gets squashed when the male lead takes over and becomes the caveman/knight in shining armour/general macho man. He routinely talks down to her, is controlling and generally unpleasant. Not only that but they (Alix and Gunner) meet and declare their undying love and commitment for each other within a week, which feels unrealistic. A super quick instant-love storyline can work but I don't feel like the author sold it for me - all their interactions were superficial and I never really felt a spark between them.

The most disappointing thing in this book is the continued bad treatment of women. Not only does Gunner treat Alix poorly despite allegedly being in love with her, the surrounding characters (male and female) treat the 'club girls' like utter trash. The club girls have been mentioned in previous books but really take the forefront in this one. They are groupies and not official members of the club, and seem to be from disadvantaged backgrounds indoctrinated into a psuedo-sex ring. The men share the girls freely and sleep with them whenever they want, whilst talking down to them/yelling at them/calling them names etc. The steady girlfriends/wives of the men (i.e. 'old ladies') also look down on them and treat them like whores, rather than having any compassion for women who are merely a product of their upbringing and surroundings. I know they are fictional characters but I can't help but think if any of the club girls had a different background they would have the self confidence to make something of themselves and not resign to becoming a glorified prostitute.

This treatment of the club girls also goes against the main plot of the book - Alix searching for her sister who was kidnapped and forced into a sex-trafficking ring. Gunner uses the club connections to find the sister and take down the whole operation, but fails to see the parallels with their own club girls. Really disappointing to have such clear parallels between the two plotlines but have no characters recognise this at all.

2/5 stars, wouldn't really recommend unless you like reading about the bad treatment of women

2.5* I would have liked more romance, & parts of the plot don’t make sense.

Alix meets Gunner when he saves her after someone spikes her drink. Alix has been searching for her sister Eden, who is missing. At first Gunner comes across a really good guy. He saves her from being raped after her drink is spiked, and stays with her all night. Then he takes her to his house and says he’ll help her to find her sister. It’s all going really well, but it goes rapidly downhill from there. After having sex with her, Gunner gets scared and avoids Alix for days. Just leaves her at his house, while he’s going off on his own. It felt like he was ashamed of her and his feelings. He keeps her a secret from his mc brothers. Eventually he mans up and admits his feelings for her, and stops ignoring her.

I did enjoy this book, but there’s things that really don’t make any sense. Alix went to look for her sister with $100 left after she’s paid for a room. She’s got a dress, a pair of jeans and some underwear. So when she stays at Gunner’s house for days, there’s no mention of her clothes and getting new stuff, or washing her underwear. I know it’s a minor thing but it drove me crazy. Gunner says he loves the smell of her shampoo. She’s been using a tiny bottle of shampoo from the motel. Yet it seems to last forever. Then there’s Gunner and the way that he treats Alix. Alix who has no money, is in a strange town, doesn’t know anyone and he just leaves her for days. Nice man.. It doesn’t even match the plot. Sex scenes are really hot as a positive note.

Outlaw Biker with Heart
Even outlaw bikers live by a code;
Gunner: is an outlaw biker & along with a few of his brothers, stop at the Smiling Skull for a drink. While enjoying some comradery, he is distracted by a petite woman yelling at a big guy in the bar.
She doesn't belong here, and Gunner can't seem to take his eyes off the little spitfire. But when she leaves her drink to find the washroom, things get interesting. When Gunner sees the man drop a pill into the drink of this unsuspecting woman, he jumps into action. But before he can pull himself away from the man, she downs her beer.
Alix: is looking for her sister and winds up finding the man she left town with, at the Smiling Skull. A biker hang out where she doesn't belong. She is determined to get this man to tell her where her sister is, but becomes a target for the same man.
Gunner takes Alix back to her hotel and decides to stay with her until she is awake. But, when morning comes he takes her to get breakfast, and Alix tells him the reason why she was at the Smiling skull the night before.
Knowing that she will probably go back to the biker bar doesn't sit well with Gunner. Hell, why should he care and why is he so concerned about the woman?
This is a must-read book by Daphne Loveling, who is a great author. Her stories are riveting, exciting, hot and always make you read past your bedtime!
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. *****5 HUGE STARS*****

Lords of Carnage MC (4)

For some silly reason our author put book 1 at the back of this, no need, I always ensure to have whole series tucked onto my kindle before I start. Books are in number order ready for when I finish the previous one. This one as you can tell from the title is Gunner's story, and Alix's of course. Gunner & a couple of the other Lords took a ride out to a bar which is neutral territory. He sees a girl arguing with a couple of guys, something about her sister. When she goes to the bathroom he sees one of them put something in her drink, as he goes over she comes back, too late she's had some he and the others lay the guys out and take Alix outside he tells her she's been "roofied", she only just getting the effects so he gets her address and takes her on his bike. The next day he takes her for breakfast sorts out a "misunderstanding" with the guy running the motel, then takes her to his home, he has a spare room. She has told him she was looking for her sister, the guy she was arguing with was denying knowing where she was, she'd been seeing him before disappearing. Gunner has church so tells her to stay put, have a shower and chill he will do what he can to find her sister. This is not a good storyline, it's very well written but touches on some seedy, nasty things that happen in life. Like the 3 books before, excellent read, bring on the next 4

"Gunner" is my new favorite sexy biker! Who doesn't love that good guy that can be a bad a** when he needs to be? Gunner and Alix's story is steamy, the storyline is at times heart wrenching, but well worth the read.

From the first moment he saves Alix in that bar, the connections between them are as hot as the pipes on his bike! Helping to find and save Alix's sister, Gunner enlists the help of his brothers in arms to save her from what is a horrible existence for any human being. Gunner's brothers of the MC stepping up when needed always gives an MC story a depth you don't always find in other types of stories. The connections are strong, the characters are stronger, and gives the reader a great story to find that HEA for the H and h. A stand alone book, I always look forward to reading about another brother in the club getting his story.

For those readers that love MC stories or just really hot books, this is one you will want to add to your library. I would like to thank the author for gifting me "Gunner". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.5 Stars!

Gunner #4 03/10/2022

Gunner and two of his brothers in the MC have stop to have a drink in the Smilingly Skull bar it’s neutral territory so all clubs drink here. Gunner is on his way back from the bathroom when he sees this little bitty chick yelling at this big guy about something then when she goes to the bathroom that guy slips something into her drink. That’s when Gunner tells his friends not on his watch so hee goes over and starts beating on the guy. When Alix come out of the bathroom some guy is beating on the guy she was just yelling at so she grabs her beer and watches little does she know her beer is spiked. After Gunner is done with the guy he sees her with the empty beer in her hand her drags her to the bathroom to throw up but they don’t get it all out of her system so he takes her back to her motel to sleep it off. That’s how these two come together. Soon he takes her home to help her find her sister thinking he doesn’t need to get attached but he just can’t fight the attraction. So enjoy another good read and see if and how it works out for them !!

>>>>>I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Review Copy of this book<<<<<
Gunner Stogaard is the road captain for the Lord of Carnage, a tall, burly, tattooed looking man with a heart of gold. He and his brothers are out on the town when he sees a feisty young lady arguing with another man until he stepped in to save the day. Alix Cousins is seeking her sister, Eden, who has been missing for a while. Her last information was her sister ex-boyfriend, Gonzales and she located him in the Smiling Skull just outside of Tanner Springs. The story was great and interesting with complex characters but it was so good 😊 It was filled with sex trafficking, drugs and a roller coaster ride with the brotherhood. There's a lot more included in this amazing story that I'm omitting but was enthralled the entire time and refused to lay the book down. Will Alix find her sister? Can Gunner keep Alix safe? I'm looking forward to reading another story about the MC brotherhood.

I absolutely loved the latest from Daphne Loveling and her Lords of Carnage MC series! I have read this whole series so far and I think Gunner is my new favorite! When out with some of his brothers at a bar that is a neutral territory to MCs he finds himself stepping in to save the woman who catches his eye. Alix finds herself out of her element when she steps into Smiling Skull, a bar where she confronts the man who was last known to be with her sister. Alix has dropped everything to search for her missing sister and when Gunner steps in to help her she will find her life changing in ways she never would have expected when she left Virginia. Gunner may not have wanted to be tied down to one woman before yet Alix will change all of that for him the more time he spends with her. I loved these two characters and what they go through together. I can't wait for more from this group of MC guys from Daphne Loveling. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

mc romance

Gunner is the fourth book in the Lords Of Carnage series and a great addition. Gunner has always been an interesting character from previous books and this is his story. It can be read as a standalone, and we get to catch up bit with main characters from the other books. This book has MC action, pacing is great, and once again get into the underbelly of a group dealing in illicit activity in and around Tanner Springs.

Alix Cousins is looking for her older sister, Eden, who had gone missing for months and worried something bad has happened. Gunner rescues her when he sees a man slip a roofie in her drink and he’s not about to have her come to harm. Not on his watch. From there things rev up to finding Eden before it’s too late for Alix’s sister. Great ending and an epilogue of how Alix and Gunner’s life is more enriched by a growing family and friends.

I received an voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Second Chances

Alix's older sister ran off after their mother died. She knows her sister doesn't want to be part of her life, but she can't shake the feeling that her only family is in trouble. She tracks her sister's no good ex to a biker bar. It's there, her journey truly begins and she meets the man who will change her life.
Gunner doesn't like to get involved, unless it involves his brothers or his mother. When he sees Alix's drink being roofied, he protects her from the men responsible. His good deed leads him on a journey he never planned on.
Together Gunner and Alix set out to rescue Alix's sister and end up uncovering something far more sinister than expected. In the midst of the chaos, Gunner finally meets a woman he can let in and Alix gets a chance to have a family again.
Things have been quiet for the LOC, but Gunner and Alix are about to shake things and bring the heat.

Oh my word, I absolutely love Daphne Loveling's books, they are the best and The Lords of Carnage series is amazing!! Gunner is the 4th book in the series and I think it's the best one so far...they just keep getting better. Alix is looking for her sister and Gunner decides to be a good guy and help her out...not quite that cut and dry, but I'm not going to give the story away, you need to read it yourself. This book is super sexy, exciting and really pretty sweet. Loved Gunner and Alix together and also loved that we got to revisit all the crew from past books. This is a standalone book, but you really need to read all the others, it's so much better when you know all the characters. Can't wait to see who Ms. Loveling writes about next...these guys are so entertaining!! Fabulous book, highly recommended.

Lords of Carnage MC

This is the story of Gunner, a member of the Lords of Carnage MC. He's single and not looking for anything in the form of female companionship except one night stands. Then he meets a young woman after rescuing her from a rough, mean looking dude who puts a drug in her drink while she's in the bar bathroom. When Gunner confronts him, he starts a fight but Gunner and his MC brothers make short work of him and his companion. Then Gunner winds up offering the woman a room at his home so she has a decent place to stay while searching for her sister. The story starts to take off after this with a growing attraction between the two and the the twists and turns that occur while they search for the sister. This is a sizzling story with fairly explicit scenes between the two leading characters and a happy ever after.

Oh Gunner, you just topped my list, I don't know what it is but I am so drawn to this white knight with a MC crew and tattoos. I fell so hard for this tough as nail but then sexy as sin biker. Alix is looking for her sister, Eden that ran away and hasn't been seen in months she just feels like somethings wrong. Alix ends up at a biker bar asking around for Eden, Gunner thanks heavens was there and saved her, He agrees to help find her sister and when Gunner makes a promise it he always comes through. I loved this story line it wasn't all about the rival MC's , like other books, it sucked me in and I didn't want it to end. Gunner is definitely a keeper. I happily read this ARC to share my thoughts.

Another phenomenal LOC book from Dahpne Loveling! Absolutley loved this story about Gunner. It has everything you would expect from an LOC novel: danger, intrigue, passion, hot sex, love, an a hot alpha brother of the MC! Great great read! Cannot wait to read more about the LOC...maybe Angel next? Or Thorn with that Irish brogue? Whoever the next one is about it is sure to be just as stellar as all of the previous books!! Don't miss out on this awesome book! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Gunner by Daphne Loveling was the fourth book in the Lords of Carnage series. Gunner can’t explain why he is drawn to the girl at the bar… She does not belong there! Alix is trying to find information about her sister and she is not going to leave without finding out. Gunner saw someone drop something in her drink. Realizing what was happening, he saved Alix from the the men who wanted to drug her.

Gunner didn’t really want to get involved - after all - he is all in with his club and doesn’t have time to get involved with someone who doesn’t know the score. Alix wants to find her sister and is willing to go to any length for her. Gunner somehow finds himself helping her and falling for her…

Gunner by Daphne Loveling is a good read.

Gunner has to be my favorite out of the Lords so far. While each book so far has made me enjoy each of them in their own way, Gunner’s has really struck me. I love his tough exterior, his dominating personality in the bed room, and his ready to fight whoever or whatever for those he love. Not to dissuade the others we have met along the way, and I’m sure the others that are to come. I love Alix and her I can do it no matter what you say attitude. Her back story breaks my heart but in a way that makes you root for her to find everything and then some. I was shocked with the epilogue, it jumps 2 years and gives insight into a few things I wasn’t expecting yet. I’m happy none the less. Onto the next brother Thorn.

This series gets better and better. I love a good MC book and this series is addicting. Alix is desperately trying too find her sister and never thought she would meet Gunner who rescued her from being drugged. Gunner knew the moment he seen Alix that no one could ever compare to her, but tried to stay away. But the heart wants what the heart wants and they both want each other. I love Alix and Gunner together and of course seeing the other characters and what they are up too. I hoping Angel's story will be next. Another amazing read that you won't be able too put down.
