The Winchesters are best known for being America’s most elusive dynasty.
Charlie Winchester is a rich girl. She has always been a rich girl. But her family's baggage comes with a price, and theirs is designer.
When Charlie's mother died unexpectedly seven years earlier, her family was left fragmented beyond repair. She has spent the years since her mother’s death running from the family she can’t seem to mend and the legacy she wants to escape. Forced to return home to Chicago after years of trying to avoid fixing herself by helping others, Charlie attempts to carve a name for herself and her own path at Winchester Holdings: their family of generations' company.
Although she has never had much success in the dating department, unlike her brother Deacon whose life is an endless parade of dates and conquests, Charlie is surprised to find herself enamored with one of her colleagues.
That is until someone from her past she attempted to bury along with her mother appears back in her life and turns everything she has worked to create upside down.
Me: Cool another book about rich people and their first world problems. This should be fun. 🤗
Haley Warren: Bitch you thought. 🤪
I went into this book not knowing much but super excited to see what this rich girl was up to. What I found was a main character that hit a little too close to home. Someone who wants to find a true home and sense of belonging.
Charlie doesn’t think she’s enough, she thinks she’s undeserving of love, and is in a constant state of thinking everything she does is fucked up. She thinks the only thing she deserves is whatever repercussions come her way and being left behind.
I felt so deeply for Charlie. I felt all of my own insecurities in her own thoughts and self destruction. I found myself screaming at her to just open up. To just be honest and stop being so hard on herself.
I love David so much. He’s the epitome of an emotionally intelligent, trustworthy, honest to god GOOD man.
Tripp can suck on a rotten hot dog for all I care. God I truly hate him. 🙄
Charlie’s dad? Go to therapy man. Lord my daddy issues were screaming while reading this.
All in all I freaking adored this book. Charlie deserves a hug. David baby I love you. 😭
3.5 stars? I honestly can't tell how I feel about this. it got me out of my reading slump because the rich people drama was amazing but I also hate every character? I feel like I need to read book 2 to see if it's worth continuing
Such a well-rounded book filled with lots of workplace drama, family drama, rich folks behaving badly, romance & relationship issues and some past trauma. It’s got it all! 👏
I liked Charlie, the main character, for the most part, and only wanted to smack some sense into her a few times. A few of her actions were incredibly frustrating. I don’t like when strong women believe they’re not worthy of love or success, so that was hard to read, but it did make a little more sense when understanding her past traumas.
I loved David, who was truly the perfect book boyfriend, and despised Tripp, which I think was the author’s intent. While I do think Tripp tried to right some wrongs as the book went along, it just wasn’t enough for me.
I wish the book had ended a little differently, only because I’d built up my ideal ending in my head. Does that ever happen to you too?
Overall, I enjoyed and am happy to support Haley as she prepares for pub day!
Trigger warnings: suicide, death of a parent, cheating
Fall in love with the elite Winchester family and then...watch them crash and burn.
Charlie Winchester is a rich girl. That's the life she knows even though she tries to fight it. When her mother dies seven years prior, her world flipped. She was the glue of the family that kept them smiling for real in pictures. Now, back in Chicago, Charlie tries to establish herself in a top position at her father's company. But just because she has the paycheck to back her up, doesn't mean working for her father and with her brother is easy.
The only thing that makes it worth all the drama is David. He's an employee of the company too and when their one-night stand turns into many nights, Charlie realizes this is what she wants. David is who she wants.
This book was a rollercoaster of family and personal drama that kept me turning the pages to find out what Charlie would do next. Warren serves us with a few jaw-dropping moments and tear-filled lines. I'm so glad Charlie's story isn't over and we'll get to read more about her decisions and life-trajectory in, Lost Girl.
Charlie, our FMC, is a billion dollar baby (literally) and has only ever felt the pressure of her father to fit in with the family name. Since her mothers death, seven years ago, she has desperately tried running from more than just her family name. When secrets from her past come back, her whole world is flipped upside down.
I absolutely loved our main characters in this story! My heart felt for Charlie and her feelings of never being good enough for her family/father. I adored Charlie’s brother Deacon and the unconditional love he always showed her. And David — I want a David for myself! And Tripp… In a way I almost felt sorry for him, but I felt that his character added the perfect element of drama to this story. I felt such a connection with each character and really felt the emotion coming through the pages.
Haley’s writing was just detailed enough to give you a great visual of everything happening within the book. And the way she was able to convey the family dynasty/billionaire life was… *chef’s kiss* I haven’t read anything with this type of lifestyle and I thoroughly enjoyed every part and thought it was conveyed perfectly — just like I’d imagine that type of lifestyle.
Thank you so much imPRESS Millennial Books for the gifted copy of Rich Girl. I absolutely LOVED IT and cannot wait to read what Haley comes out with next.
Have you ever read a book and just forgotten where you were? Like you were so immersed in the world between the pages that you lost track of time? That's how it was reading Rich Girl.
The story follows Charlie Winchester as she navigates a broken family, a new role at her family's company, and a budding romance. I can sing enough praise for the character's development and details in this story. Enough detail that you can picture the scenes so clearly, but not so much detail that you skim. I hung on to every word of this novel, and when it was over, I had a book hangover. I can not wait for the sequel.
Without giving away much...I hate you, Tripp...and David...I love you. I need more of David and Charlie.
Bravo, Haley Warren; this is a truly incredible read that is so much more than a romance.
I devoured this book in a day because it was so good. Totally bingeable read and I need the next book in this series ASAP. Charlie is our FMC and she is incredibly relatable. I saw so much of myself in her scattered throughout this book. She's messy, emotional, and makes some very questionable choices, but she's real. She has a hard time loving herself due of the lack of love she's received throughout most of her life, and I think everyone experiences that type of self doubt and loathing every once in a while in their own lives. It makes reading from her POV feel so personal, like this fictional character just gets me. I love the way Haley Warren brings this whole world to life with her words and I can't wait to join the gang again when Lost Girl releases this June.
twisty and dramatic!!!! addicting gossip girl type vibes. very angsty and I loved it. v refreshing to have a series that’s continuous and not standalones, there’s something to be said for a story taking longer to have its arc 🌶️1.5
Charlie Winchester’s story is messy, and I absolutely love it. A story that reminds me of the messy humans we are—and that we are in fact only human after all and sometimes make mistakes out of grief that we aren’t proud of. I love the glam features of a Rich Girl—and family—this book flawlessly presents and can’t wait for more books from Haley, especially the sequels that continue the stories of these unforgettable characters!
indie author Haley Warren packed so much into this one folks!! love, heartache, tragedy, MONEY, success, raw emotion, complex relationships and so much more. main character Charlie Winchester is not your ordinary everyday girl. her family’s business has grown into an enterprise. she lives in luxury from designer bags and shoes to expensive jewelry and cars, you name it, she has it
the only thing she’s not in possession of and longing for is love. as she starts to form a connection within the walls of the family company someone from the past renters her life just as she’s feeling her most lost
will Charlie be put the broken pieces back together?
long overdue review for my gal @haleylwrites! i have connected with quite a few indie authors who I love and adore but it is VERY safe to say this lady just gets me!! we click and belly laugh whenever we chat AND often exchange puppy pics. this is Haley’s second novel coming early 2023, her first ‘Bad Daughter’ is available now!
thank you beyond words @impressmillennial for this gifted ARC!
I can’t believe we are already looking ahead to 2023 releases, but you are going to want to add this one to your TBR!
Rich Girl is a rich blend of Gossip Girl, a little bit of The Hating Game, and a whole lot of other things that make it 100% unique! It has a workplace romance, family drama, and a lot of self-discovery. These characters’ lives are messy and complicated and I was 100% invested! It is hard to share more than that because it is best to go in blind, but it sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go until the very last page. Although I am already itching to revisit these characters again! I plan to share a more detailed review right before pub day!
Rich Girl by @haleylwrites releases Jan. 17th, 2023.
Thank you so much to @impressmillennial @haleylwrites for the gifted copy to review!
What a beautifully complicated story! I love how the author made me feel all the things and question my own morals. The mental health representation that’s woven into the book was so accurately portrayed, too. I really enjoyed this one! I’m excited to read Lost Girl next month!
Haley Warren’s “Rich Girl” is a compelling debut that delves into the complexities of family legacy, personal identity, and the pursuit of self-worth. Set against the opulent backdrop of the Winchester family’s empire, the novel follows Charlie Winchester as she navigates the challenges of returning to her family’s business after a seven-year absence following her mother’s untimely death.
Charlie’s journey is marked by internal struggles and a desire to forge her own path amidst the expectations of her billionaire lineage. Her character is portrayed with depth, capturing the nuances of someone grappling with grief, self-doubt, and the longing for genuine connection. The narrative is enriched by her relationships, particularly with her brother Deacon, whose unwavering support provides a grounding presence, and David, a colleague whose emotional intelligence and steadiness offer a stark contrast to the chaos of her family life.
Warren’s writing has been praised for its emotional resonance and the authenticity of its characters. Readers have highlighted the novel’s ability to evoke a range of emotions, from empathy to frustration, as they witness Charlie’s decisions and the consequences that follow. The inclusion of mental health themes adds a layer of realism, making Charlie’s experiences relatable to many.
While some critiques point to moments of choppy prose or a desire for more development in certain characters, the overall reception underscores the book’s impact as a thought-provoking and emotionally charged read.
In summary, Rich Girl offers a nuanced exploration of a woman’s struggle to define herself beyond her family’s wealth and expectations. It’s a story that resonates with themes of love, loss, and the enduring quest for self-acceptance.
Strengths: • Emotional depth: Charlie’s internal journey is raw and relatable, especially her struggles with identity, grief, and self-worth. • Authentic characters: The sibling dynamic with Deacon and her evolving bond with David add layers to the story. • Mental health representation: The exploration of trauma and mental health feels honest and adds important weight to the narrative.
Minor drawbacks: • Some readers found parts of the prose a bit uneven or wanted more development from certain side characters. • There are moments where the pacing lags slightly, particularly in the first half.
💭 thoughts 💭 This is my first book by Haley and while I want to say it should be my last because I now have trust issues with her - it was actually incredible.
This book was nothing like I expected it to be and I got myself so involved and lost in this book that I had trouble (literally) separating my life from the book. I told Haley I was having dreams about this book that had me waking up and panicking thinking it was real.
The characters are incredibly likable and some are so hateable that you may like them and some are SUPER hateable - but they're written so flawlessly and effortlessly.
The tension, the drama, the conflict, the heartbreak and emotion, the pain and the regret. Your girl was lost in her emotions too many times to count during this.
I cannot W A I T to read Lost Girl, the next in the series, and I'm 97% sure my heart will break during that too.
Another thing, Haley, like the lovely @lindseydcord, has the ability to have you hanging on the edge of your seat IN THE LAST 20% OF THE BOOK, thinking you'll know what is going to happen and then have it blown out the window.
I'm disrespected but so in love. It's a weird mix, but chef's kiss. 10928734/5.
Was I aroused or angry? Was I celebrating or crying? So many emotions.
I loved Charlie & Deacon's relationship so, so much. I don't see/read books focusing on a strong sibling bond like this and it's beautiful.

"You know what, come in and close the door. I'm probably going to keep yelling."
"I don't know who told you that you weren't enough. I don't know if the things ___ has done make you feel that way. But you are. You are my favorite person in the world, and I will not hear another word. Okay?"
"I mean, she's hot in an obvious way, ______. But you're worth more."
"What a terrible thing for a young woman to be missing her mother like you must be."
I love a good story with messy characters and this one is going to stick with me for a long time. This book was fantastic! The emotions were raw and the characters and relationships were complex. I was hooked from the beginning and I loved Haley’s writing style. She really helped you understand the FMC in an emotional, deep way and not just surface level which I loved!
I really enjoyed the progression of the FMC, Charlie, as she battled things from her past and her feelings of not being good enough for others and especially her father and all the tragedy that comes with messy decisions. I loved Charlie’s relationship with her brother, Deacon! One of my favorite things about this story was how much he adored his sister! And David!? He was perfection!
r e a d i f y o u l i k e : •workplace romance •family/personal drama •tragedy •emotional storylines •billionaire lifestyle •flawed characters
This book was so unique and I am so excited that this is continuing into a series because I can’t wait to see what’s next for Charlie!
Hi, so I'm very new to this app. Don't know whether doing things right or not or whether anybody would care enough to read this. But i just want to reach out to know if anybody can help me to track the ebook version (preferably pdf) of found girl by haley warren. It's jst not available on any of the sight i usually go for books. I'm done with the other 2 books of this series and found girl is the final one and now i can't find it anywhere and It's just driving me nuts. The whole series is so good and have so much emotional depth, i just can't stop reading it. And now I'm on a cliffhanger. I would be really very thankful if someone can help me to locate the book.
S.N: Google play books Isn't available in my country.
I can’t wait for Lost Girl and let me tell you why. Rich Girl was not perfect and I flitted back and forth while reading it between loving it and hating it. For the first 25%, much of the writing felt disjointed to me and I wondered if I would ever get into this book. But I did. I followed along on Charlie’s journey and really felt her pain. I’ve felt very similarly to her in the past so I get it, Charlie, and I’m rooting for you!
Billionaires don’t need to exist. Capitalism is a scam. That’s all I have to say on that topic.
Also, if I can go to therapy on my measly salary, why the FUCK is/was Charlie not in therapy after the loss of her mom? Please explain.
This book... it has a lot of plot twist and choices. David is the most amazing, sweet MMC but he is also blind to Charlie sometimes, even if he's the only one who sees her. Charlie is a very complex character, she makes a lot of bad choices, she is a people pleasing gentle soul who screws up a lot but she's still a twenty seven year old stuck on her mother's dead. She does not see how certain garbage character takes advantage of her every time she is vulnerable. She let a lot slip, yes, but also, she was heavily manipulated.
This has an open ending but it's so exciting and different that I can't wait to read the second part.
This was author Haley Warren's second novel and again we had a wonderful story with complex characters. I really enjoy her writing style, and I am able to connect and identify with the characters, even though they are in a tax bracket that I will never be in - and that's the beauty of Haley Warren's writing. She has the ability to pull you into a story and not let you go. Her characters are deep, complicated and authentically flawed, allowing you to see yourself in them.
Rich Girl was a wonderful read. It was well-paced and well-written. I look forward to her next book!
Rich Girl is one big roller coaster of events, that had me hooked on every page. Haley did an amazing job on showing Charlie’s inner demons, regarding her past and herself.
The book is filled with drama, AND WE LOVE IT. It builds steadily throughout the book, and with an ending like that, I can’t wait to learn what happens from here.
I love this book almost as much as I love the author! This book is fun, entertaining, cute yet steamy, and at times heartbreaking. You will fall in love with the characters (hello morally grey man from Charlies past here to shake things up). I love the glitz, glam and wealth described in this book, but also how down to earth and funny some of the main characters are!
I can't wait to find out how it all plays out for 'billion dollar baby' in the rest of the series!
I wasn't expecting to have my heart ripped to shreds there towards the end. The story is a very typical billionaire family business, mean Father, too high expectations, but a truly fabulous boyfriend. #ransacked
I'm so glad I waited until book 2 was released though. The wait would have been torture.
This was a good book, but not one I couldn’t put down. The characters are messy and her writing is choppy but some of the stuff hits you in the feels. I wanted more from Tripps character.
SO GOOD. I couldn’t stop reading it! I was super mad at Charlie the whole time knowing she’d do something to screw things up, he seems like the perfect gentleman! so well written- can’t wait to read the next one, I just ordered it!
I thought it was going to be cheesy TikTok romcom but it wasn’t. I ended up reading it all weekend. It’s more of an emo beach read. Everyone is rich and sad and complicated and I hope it becomes a show because I want to live in the little world.
I'm giving it 3 stars bc honestly I want to shake her, her dad, her brother and David. Plus the story isn't over so I think on book 3 l give the whole series a rating. So far so good, but she this girl needs to find her back bone.
