Bijou Phillips is always on the move with her travel agent business. People say home is where the heart is, so she heads home for the holidays. Love she thought she left behind shows up, offering a few nights of pleasure.
This holiday is special to Levi Hall. His brother is coming home, and the family will be whole again. A trip to the grocery store changes the course of the holiday, and possibly the rest of his life.
Can they stick to the agreed upon naughty weekend, or will one of them find themselves looking toward something more permanent?
Monae Nicole is a Jersey girl currently residing in Texas. A lover of books since her teenage years, she began penning poems and short stories of her own when she was in high school. It wasn't until her adult years after encouragement from a friend, she decided to turn those short stories into novels and novellas. Being a lover of love despite your past circumstances motivates her to pen stories about second chances at love. Through her writing she wants readers to believe no matter what happens, there is love at the end of the tunnel. I really wanted to like this book but, it just didn’t work for me. It was somewhat boring and it lacked excitement. I just didn’t feel a connection with Bijou and Levi. More Than a Naughty Weekend missed the mark for me.
Bijou and Levi had a good thing, but their timing was off, as they had different goals for their lives. Fast forward sixteen years, they are reunited and still very much attracted to each other. They were definitely sexually compatible, as they were getting it in at every turn. Levi was all in, as it seemed he had been waiting for her return to his orbit all this time. Bijou, still wanted to travel and do her thing, but felt like it was time for her to slow down, as everyone around her was coupled up. I believe that she cared for Levi, but I didn't connect with them as a couple.
This was a sexy second chance love story. Bijou and Levi were soulmates but 16 years had passed- they didn’t expect to run into each other again. Now, these two were getting it on so much- you couldn’t tell so much time had passed. Their chemistry was on point and not just in the sexual sense. I loved this.
So that reunion with family had this thug shedding a tear 🤣😭😫. I love books who give you laugh out loud moments and this story had many of them. I almost thought Bijou was going to let her man go and I was screaming go get your man girl because Levi is everything! This was a cute short story for sure!!!
Very rarely do we get to see a story line where the female is the one who put a halt on love to pursue her dream and then spun the block later in life. It was refreshing and a sweet love story. No drama.
Ms. Monae that second chance hits differently. Levi knew that Bijou was his soulmate. When the opportunity presented itself he took it by the horns. A steamy weekend turned into a lifetime of happiness and memories. I loved how Levi and Bijou's families blended. You can tell the families genuinely loved each other, especially Bijou's mom she loved her some Levi.
This series is smoking 💨💨 so get into it. Ms. Monae, I am looking forward at what you may release next.
I enjoyed this story. A naughty weekend turned into a second chance love for Bijou and Levi. It was good to see them reconnect and their chemistry was so strong both in and out of the bedroom. Levi knew what he wanted all along and didn’t waste his opportunity to make Bijou his lady. This couple showed you can still achieve your dreams and goals while in a relationship, but it takes communication and compromise and sometimes sacrifice.
Bijou had no idea going home for Thanksgiving would rekindle a relationship with the love of her life. She and Levi seeing one another after sixteen years, brought back feelings they both had pushed away. A weekend together reminded them just how much they didn't want to be without one another. His daughter loved her and that was important to Levi. This was a great read! Job well done!
Bijou went home for Thanksgiving to spend time with her family! A late night trip to the store put her face to face with her ex! The intimate moment they shared in the store turned into a weekend together. Levi found his forever and refused to let Bijou forget! A great read!
Whew babbbyyyyy!!! They were NASTY!! Time didn't come in between REAL LOVE and what God had designed!! Those sex scenes tho, SHEESH!! Had me allllllllll hot and bothered! Excellent work
I enjoyed this book. I really rated it a 4.5. The MC's really communicated what they wanted from each other & had positive people in their lives to push the communication forward in the beginning. I was actually visualizing this book. Don't sleep on it.
Loved everything about this book. You really left it all in this book and the ending was everything. I hope you spin the block for these 3. I wanna know about 16 year old Aaliyah, wedding and babies lol
Bijou returns home to spend time with her parents for Thanksgiving. She unexpectedly runs into her ex Levi and sparks immediately fly. For Levi Bijou was the love that got away. He's not willing to lose out on her a second time.
Monae Nicole has done it again. This may be one of my favorites if not the favorite! The theme or second chance love was beautifully written as a what’s meant to be will be.” I would love a sequel to Bijou and Levi.
Omg this book was so good I love Levi and Bi. Love does not have a time frame or a expiration date.Liyah was sweet preteen. The second time is the best time.
Thanksgiving weekend came with more than just some good food. This book was simply and nicely written. Easy love and hot connection. Loving these naughty books.
Bijou and Levi had been separated for 16 years due to her decision to pursue her career as a traveling travel agent and he wanted to stay in their hometown. Bijou comes home for the holiday and runs in Levi again and they rekindle their relationship. Levi is determined that he isn't letting Bijou go again but Bijou is unsure if they will work out this time too. I loved both sets of parents and Aaliyah. I also loved that they were able to talk to each other and reach compromises in order to make their relationship work in the end. Now, their love can last longer than a naughty weekend.
I like the thought of a second chance that doesn’t come with drama that happened the first round. I like the positive representation of co-parenting and while they did have some sexy times, this book missed the mark for me. It lacked excitement.
