I work in marine conservation at the reef so this was a must-read for me. The author has researched meticulously. But it is very dry. Good as an academic reference, but not a page-turner. Which is a shame since there has been a ton of scandal, corruption and misadventure around the history of the worlds most beloved and interesting reef.
