This book was sick..bloody sick...can being so spoilt, rich and bored with extravagance really turn you into a torturer,a killer and a psychopathic maniac?? This book proves it can! There are some stomach churning "Oh My God" moments which sent pain rocketing throughout my entire body...I don't think that I will ever wax body hair or set a mouse trap again without thinking about poor Omar and Axel...gave me the right old willies,I can tell you!! Sea Caummisar doesn't hold back anything in this book...so be warned. A fabulous read... truly loved it ❤️
A brutally gore filled little tale about two torturers who live on a remote atoll that advertise for an employee to come and work for them, no strings, tendons or ligaments attached, for a vast amount of money for a year. Too good to be true? - Yep, wouldn’t you know it, it always seems to be the case!
A bit strange at first, but great action once this short twisty adventure took a hold and moved onto matters taking place on the almost deserted, horror-filled, grisly and gruesome private island.
It’s common knowledge that readers of the grotesque and macabre love a ‘happy ever after’ ending, right? Well, maybe give this one a go, I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!
Recommended - but not for the squeamish.
Rating: 4.1 bright red stars of tormented persecution.
This book is super freaking great, as per usual with Sea Caummisar this book is bloody brutal, full of down right nasty violence and a truly fun and interesting story, that ending...... oh my days, the final reveal snuck up on me! Absolutely great book!!!
Another excellent story from one of my fave authors. The slow build-up had me wondering but then it really went Sea style. I loved the twist especially as I wasn't expecting one. Having a 'puppy' really upped the ante. I can only imagine the fun they had with him before the end. Should I buy an island? 🤔
I've missed reading this authors books, I need to stick up as I always know I'm in for a gruesome time. This was no exception,.a wealthy woman offering a quarter of a million in cash for 1 years work. That 24/7 7 days a week at her neck and call day and night and be willing to do anything she asks. Too good to be true? But with all the laws now surely it can't be bad. A pure nasty evil woman whom loved nothing more that causing and hearing others in pain at her hand. How far can she go? You will have t ok read to find out. But really is a twisted read so not for those easily offended or weak stomached. But me? I definitely recommend as I loved it.
3.5 stars Brutal, intense and packed with gore. This is truly disgusting in the best kind of way and gave me pure Aron Beauregard’s Playground vibes. Horrific, sickening and all-round addictive. I read this in one sitting.
Help Wanted: Spoilt Rotten, is an extreme horror novella written by Sea Caummisar. If you're looking for a quick read that offers sheer horror and violence, this book will certainly promise this.
The rich heiress, Lilith is on the hunt for an employee to work for her 24/7 for an entire year on her remote island with no contact outside the workplace. She hires a young man, Omer to fill the vacancy. While accepting the conditions of employment and the payment of $250,000 US for the job, there is a catch which is not explicitly explained to Omer. Can he handle being Lilith’s employee? Lilith doesn't do her job singlehandedly, she has her bodyguard, Leo to assist with the dirty work. Terrance is a lawyer who is in the know of Lilith’s situation and turns to successful investigator, Axel to have Lilith exposed for what she's capable of. There is a twist (or two) that comes into foul play during a business meet up.
The brief introduction to the story, leads readers to think it will include slavery, unrealistic expectations asked of the employee and no freedom, which would have given the story more depth, but instead, it is mostly about physical torture. Unfortunately (or maybe not unfortunately), there is no definite giveaway for the fate of the victims at the end.
A fast paced book where each event happens instantly. Read with caution - the evil acts are truly horrendous!
Another extremely graphic and disturbing tale from the Sea. I think it’s fair if everyone knows, it takes SO much for me to skim chapters out of disgust or because a particular form of abuse hits too close to home. That being said, I had to skip most of what happened with Omer. I don’t remember if it stated whether or not he was a minor but I couldn’t stop thinking about him as a boy under 10 or sometimes maybe a teen. I absolutely cannot do any form of child abuse, none. I can’t stand when authors choose to use this contrivance in their work. It’s an extremely cheap gimmick, and usually adds nothing but some shock factor and utter disgust. If I’m wrong about Omer’s age, then I’m wrong. But I’m not just talking about in this one instance. It also occurs in other work. Most stories do very well and never even have to hint at child abuse. I’m all for Sea’s work, I’m making my way through all her books, especially the Boss universe books. She has such a delightfully warped and vivid imagination, that I feel like I need to make a review for most of her books, and I don’t make very many of those. She’s really impressed and entertained me with her writing and it’s been really fascinating starting at her older published work and then working forward, and love seeing how she’s evolved as a writer. And come on, any female writing in extreme splatterpunk deserves a chuck on the chin at least. I want to read so much more!
Finally got round to reading this and I'm so glad I did!!
Sea Caummisar I thoroughly enjoy your work! Fast paced, but detailed enough. The characters were horrible apart from poor Omer. The perfect amount of gore! 🩸💉🪓My face has made so many weird expressions whilst reading this!
Also, as a visually impaired reader, can I just say a massive THANKYOU for the font size 😂🖤🙏 And, if you're like me, your brain goes on lil wanders and sometimes forgets who's who, and the fact you added the characters details at the front 😍🤩 amazing, and I appreciate that so much!! Please keep writing your weird and fucked up books!!
For anyone who has ever read one of Sea’s books, you will know what to expect. Extreme torture, semi pornographic, brutal and unforgiving. A relatively short read, that I read in one day, and I honestly couldn’t put it down. One moment sticks in mind with a character clamping down hard with her teeth, which was a moment that made me squirm. A very dark and twisted tale, with a slightly confusing end, but I loved it anyway.
This woman is bloody fantastic! A private investigator is hired to try catch out a woman who is known for being rich and torturing people for fun. So he puts an advert out hiring boys for a huge sum of money. The first one doesn’t go to plan as she doesn’t get on with them so she takes on an American. My oh my the twists and turns gave me whiplash it was incredible. I hope to see more from this story as there were some questions I need answering!
Good and gory but the pacing was so fast, it could easily have had a longer story spread out over a lot more pages. What was the ending about? It just stopped, there was no ending. The ‘twist’ felt like it was shoehorned in for some kind of big Ta Da! moment but it was flat and by that point I no longer cared. I just don’t think this author is for me unfortunately.
I like her style, builds her character with very little words. But, you love them and hate them most of all you are afraid very afraid of them. I will look for MORE!!!!!!
This is an extreme horror novella about a woman with too much money who gets bored. Her way of entertaining herself is bloody, sexy fun!
I thought this was well written and it definitely held my attention throughout the whole story. It is EXTREME horror, so there is gore. There is mutilation.
If you are weak, you wont survive the “Job” that Sea and our main character Lilith sets out for you!
I love Sea’s writing!!! She has such a powerful, straightforward and unapologetic voice - I could not stop reading this book! I recognize many of her topics are disturbing to some, but what a fantastic book and author!
What a fantastic quick read..quite brutal in places with a big twist (No spoilers) part way through All I will say is make sure you check before you apply/accept a job that’s just too good to be true
Short and sweet with highly unlikable characters. I did not like the twist, it was weak and just there to have a twist in the story. Extreme in some parts, but not too extreme. A good read, I enjoyed it. 3.5 stars.
There is no shortage of torture and gore in this fun extreme horror story, but it feels a little incomplete on its own. However, it does offer origin stories to some characters who appear in its more well-developed and satisfying follow-up, 'Allergic Pre-Action'. Recommended for Sea completionists.
Foul with nothing to back it up. TikTok recommended this to me as a horror novella but was mindless gore instead. Would have DNF’d if it wasn’t as short as it was.
