Zayn is a sexy sweetheart that makes me swoon and I want him to catch me forever if I fall! This story kept me on my toes with the danger, suspense & drama. I love how protective Zayn and his best friends are toward the people they care about. I’m kinda jealous I don’t have 4 hot alpha men around all the time to make me feel seen, safe & loved. Ella is trying to pick up the pieces of her broken life but danger follows and thankfully she’s got a whole town on her side. Then you add in her adorable little girl who makes me smile at every turn and I’m all in. You need to read this book for the cat, the jumping spider, the garage, the delivery truck, Daisy, the bench & the amazing friends alone! Zayn is a man who backs up his words with actions and he keeps his promises. I’d let that man keep me safe forever too!

Favorite of this series so far!
Zayn is the third book in the Protecting You, Finding Us series, and my favorite so far. But then each book in this series has become my favorite as I’ve read it. These four men have such a close bond of brotherhood as a found family, it makes me swoon just a little. River, Jaxon, Cole, and Zayn. They are protective of each other and the ladies in their lives.
Zayn is the landscaper of the group. He creates beauty with nature. He’s warm, kind, patient, and loving. He is the go-to guy for whatever the group needs, he’s always prepared. He meets Ella through Steph (Jaxon’s sister) in the second book and is immediately taken with her. Ella came to Airabelle Valley with her daughter Saige and some pretty scary secrets. She is kind, and compassionate and yet stand-offish, and Zayn can’t get beyond her walls. As she comes closer to danger she turns to Zayn and his friends for help and they are right there with all they have.
I love the way C. E. Johnson has brought these two together and the way their relationship grows. We get a wonderful look at what an incredible man Zayn is and how he will stop at nothing to keep Ella and Saige safe. Every time he told Ella he was there for her my heart melted a little bit more. The suspense and action were fast paced and I was captivated from the beginning of their story. The relationship between the men and their women makes this series worth reading and re-reading! Plus, the quick glimpse of Cole at the end makes me excited for the next book!!! I highly recommend this book as your next read.

This is book 3 in the Protecting You, Finding Us series.
We meet Zayn in book 1 and Ella in book 2. Zayn is best friends with River, Cole, and Jaxon. The bond those 4 share is incredible. They are there for each other no matter what happens.
Zayn is Mr dependable and always has what everyone else needs. He had a rough start to his life which explains why he is the way he is. He cares deeply about those he loves and will do anything to protect them. Seeing him interact with Saige was the cutest thing ever! Also we learn about the one thing he is insanely afraid of. (It will have you cracking up)
Ella is such a sweet, caring mother and friend. She recently moved into town and took over the local dog grooming business. She has secrets though and things she is running from that make it hard for her to open up and trust others. When she finally does though Zayn and the guys will stop at nothing to make sure her and Saige are safe.
Seriously I have loved everything C.E. Johnson as written. The brotherhood between the guys is honestly my favorite part. I highly recommend checking out her other series Elements of the Heart as well!

Zayn and Ella
I have been looking forward to Zayn’s story since he appeared in the first book in this series. Zayn has been a bit of an enigma and I never could have guessed his backstory. And Ella was his perfect match. Both Ella and Zayn were a little broken, but their pieces fit together perfectly.
This was a book that had a lot of questions at the beginning that were slowly reveled as the book went along. I loved that it was never a big information dump. Zayn learned Ella’s story slowly and in turn he opened up to Ella. While there was a lot to unpack for both of them, the plot also moved along quickly.
It was a story of friendship and love and a lot of chosen family. Zayn and Ella and Saige made up a cute little family and they had Zayn’s parents and his childhood best friends to rely on. There was definitely an element of humor I didn’t see coming. The fact that a big, successful landscaper was afraid of spiders brought some much needed lightness to the story. The suspense with the twist at the end was perfect and I loved how everything wrapped up. I can’t wait for Steph and Cole who are FINALLY up next!

C.E. Johnson has an incredible talent for writing swoon worthy heroes who will do everything in their power to keep the people they care about safe. I love that most of them end up with a fun little quirk.
Zayn is a tough protective man, who owns a landscaping business, and is afraid of spiders. Ella is fairly new to Zayn's small town, a single mom, and dog groomer. She has been through a lot in her life. She doesn't trust easy, and wants nothing but to live her life and keep her daughter safe.
This book has just about everything I could want in a romance book. There are some great steamy scenes, some scenes that will melt your heart. There are scenes that will have you laughing like crazy. Scenes that are so full of suspense they will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Then my favorite scenes the ones that are so incredibly perfectly romantic, and still manage to have you laughing.
C.E. Johnson knocked it out of the park with this one. I can't wait to see what she has instore for Cole.

As a couple, they work great. Zayn is kind, loyal and so hot. However, his past doesn’t help him to go further. Ella is lovely but a bit indecisive, letting her concerns play with her. They’re out of their comfort zone in the relationship department; that’s how their chemistry takes control and leads them home.
What more can I say about this book? Its writing is very smart and clever, with good scenes and believable dialogues. A few flaws, but they doesn’t affect the book. Since this is my first book from this author, I had a good impression of her work. Looking forward to Cole and Steph’s story. I have the feeling that it would be a good book.

I loved Zayn & Ella's story. Ella moves to Airabelle Valley after running from Chicago t keep her daughter Saige and herself safe. Zayn is the towns landscaper and glad he is around when Ella is scared of an event while he's there helping her by fixing her antique lawnmower. Zayn becomes very protective and tries to bring down the walls she has up and let him in. He and his friends will protect her if they knew what was happening and what she is scared of. Ella doesn't feel she can share what happened in her past she doesn't trust anyone enough.
I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NNBB. If you love a sweet romance you will this book Zayn makes you wish you had someone like him he's so caring. There is twists and turns you don't see coming. When Ella gets in danger will Zayn and his friends get there in time.

This series follows a group of 4 friends from Airabelle Valley. Throughout the series you have been able to get to know Zayne at a surface level, and mostly just know him as the guy who is always prepared for every situation. Let me tell you there is so much more to him. You can’t help but fall in love with this guy!!
Ella is a single mom afraid for her life after witnessing a murder so she runs to the small town of Arabelle Valley to lay low. If there is one thing Zayne takes seriously, it is protecting those he cares about. He is determined to keep Ella and her daughter safe.
“I’d stay up all night if it meant your dreams wouldn’t be haunted.”
I loved how Zayne worked to earn Ella’s trust and the progression their relationship took. It felt real to me even if the circumstances sped some aspects up.
This book is filled with so many hilarious moments that will have you cracking up. The pets play a staring role in these scenes.
In addition to the humor there is love, vulnerability, friendship, grade A suspense and of course steam steam steam.

Zayn & Ella's story is full of friendship and love, humor and heart, suspense and just the right bit of steam. I loved it!!
The way this author writes friends/family/found family just really makes me happy in EVERY book. The banter & protectiveness they have with each other means I fall in love with each of them in every single story. And that ... makes me happy! 😁
The way Zayn & Ella interact is lots of fun, even as they're trying to fight their feelings. And Saige is such a ray of light and joy!! Also, if you've read the earlier books, you will understand when I say that Freddy plays a hilarious role in this story, AND Saige's pet is a riot... 🤣

This is the third book in this series, and this is Zayn and Ella’s story. Ella is a single mom to her daughter, and she is a dog groomer, who is at the wrong place at the wring time and she witnesses a murder, which has her firmly in the sights of a killer, and she runs. Zayn is a sexy landscaper and when he finds out Ella is in danger, he and his friends will do whatever they must to keep her and Saige safe and protected. This is a well written story which is an action packed, small town romance, with suspense, danger, intrigue, friendships, humor, witty banter, emotions, and is a steamy and compelling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Zayn & Ella oh man these two are everything. Ella and her daughter are to cute and the love that this single mom has for her baby is unmatched. Ella witnessed something she shouldn’t have and has fled where she was and moved into this small town. She is a dog groomer and she is just a great woman and a great mom. She is definitely skittish and has some walls that she has built up but man Zayn is there every step of the way just wanting to be close to her and Saige. These two both have some baggage that they need to work through but ultimately Ella feels the safest with Zayn and he wants nothing more than to care for and protect her and Saige. This was a great read with twists and turns the suspense and mystery and let me tell you the shock that I didn’t see coming. I loved it!!!

Alpha protective hotness! 🔥🔥🔥
Zayn and Ella are such a beautiful couple. I love his OCD way and the fact he is always so prepared for every need those around him have. He just was not ready for the single mom to catch his attention and shake up his lonely soul. But this protective alpha male, needed to keep Ella and Noodles safe.
I loved the suspense, drama, romance, friendship and love that this book had. And the darn jumping spider, yeah. No thanks!! Lol

I have a major crush on Zayn!!!! Friends to lovers, single mom to an adorable little girl, some suspense, great friendships and quite some animal characters that will have you laughing your butt off. Ella is hiding a bit from a major issue, and she has slowly found a group to belong to. But, evil is lurking around and Zayn wants to protect her from all the bad things and doesn't want her and Saige to leave. Lets talk about Zayn, he is sweet, protective, funny, hardworking and hilarious with Cole's cat. You can't help but love this guy and his personality. I love CE's characters, they have careers and everyday lives like in real life. Nothing out of reach and over the top. I love these guys and their gals in this series, definitely looking forward to more from these guys.

CE Johnson is one of my go to authors for romantic suspense!
I have been keeping up with CE Johnsons books and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one! She has a way of making her alpha men realistic by making sure they are not perfect while still making them perfect for their ladies! Zayn is quirky with his need to be prepared for anything. Not to mention the fact he is a landscaper who is afraid of spiders! And Mr. screams like a girl when he sees a spider happens to fall for a mom with a daughter who loves spiders and has one as a pet! This book has so much to love! Enough danger to keep you on your toes. Enough emotions to pull on your heartstrings. Enough humor to keep you laughing. And don't get me started on the steamy scenes! Keep them coming CE Johnson!!!

🐩🕷️I'm cursing myself for not remembering much from Jaxon's book. I just remember I loved this group of friends which were hilarious and I wish I remembered more. That's why I don't read series.
🐩🕷️Hmmm .... Troy and Kelly is kinda fishy.
🐩🕷️How can she assume so much with just a offhand comment from Zayn? That was just stupid. She took a huge decision which also includes him based on a remark.
🐩🕷️Of course the stuffs Ella is saying Dean did was horrible but Troy is no saint.... Why is she defending him like that? I mean there's a reason you didn't work out.
🐩🕷️I don't feel the commitment from Ella's side.
🐩🕷️Sure we saw how much Saige and Zayn get along and of course he adores her but nothing from his pov. It kinda bugged me.

This is book 3 in the 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰𝔂𝓸𝓾, 𝓕𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓤𝓼 series. This is my first read by C.E. Johnson so I haven’t read book 1 or 2 yet. None of the other reviews really mentioned whether you have to read in order but it’s my opinion that you can read as a standalone. Even though we may be introduced to these characters in previous books, this story is wonderfully written, and we get a real sense of the characters. So if a hunky all-American man and a sweet, strong, single mother in a small town interests you, then this is the book for you…ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ᴘᴀss ᴛʜɪs ᴏɴᴇ ʙʏ!

Whoa!!! There were some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. The love story that develops between Ella and Zayn is beautifully written. There’s joy and laughter, as well as struggles and some heartache. I absolutely adore the close friendships these characters have with ones from previous books by C.E. Johnson. I can’t wait to hang with this crew again and hear more about their lives.
I am not a fan of long chapters, but they easily held my interest and had me wanting to read more. I’m excited to see what’s in store for Cole and Steph in the next book. By the way, if you haven't read Johnson's previous books, what are you waiting for????

Silly
Silly, is what comes to mind when asked to describe this book.
The author leaves a lot of details out that I like to know; age of characters, what they look like, and why did the heroine get divorced?
The storyline just didn't flow for me.
Things that should have been told but were skipped over. The author wanted the Hero/heroine to be a tortured soul but just couldn't pull it off. Characters were put in the storyline that shouldn't have been there (cousin) just to cause turmoil for the heroine but the author already had that with the murder plot. This author threw everything she could at this story including the kitchen sink and it came out....silly. (juvenile)
Silly, is what comes to mind when asked to describe this book.
The author leaves a lot of details out that I like to know; age of characters, what they look like, and why did the heroine get divorced?
The storyline just didn't flow for me.
Things that should have been told but were skipped over. The author wanted the Hero/heroine to be a tortured soul but just couldn't pull it off. Love this series and it just keeps on getting better with every book.
Ella, left city life behind when she witnessed something terrible, she takes her daughter and final her destination is a small town, she never expected it to be so different from what she grew up in. She also never expected to find her second chance at love.
Zayn, didn't have it easy growing up but that all changed when he moved into a loving home. His fear of spiders and his quirks make him an awesome character, his love and protectiveness was just amazing.
When Zayn finds out that danger is around the corner for Ella, he will do everything he can to protect her and her daughter. Loved the development of their relationship, the chemistry was amazing and the sweet moments between the main characters was perfection.

This book was so addicting! I had such a hard time putting it down to go to sleep. Each chapter made me turn the page immediately to see what would happen next. I loved how protective Zayn was of Ella. Ella was a single mother hiding from danger. She just wanted to raise her daughter in a quiet town. Zayn and his friends do everything they can to keep Ella and her daughter, Saige, safe. Is Zayn just protecting Ella as a friend, or does he want more? Will Ella ever feel safe enough to let Zayn get closer! Great book from a new to me author! I can't wait for Cole's story!

Love a story when the guy falls in love with a woman and loves her child too. Zayn has a tough background and Ella worms her way into his heart. Once again the guys band together to take care of someone in trouble. The kids are great. Quite the twist in who the bad guy is/are.
The author seems to have a strange obsession with people taking their shoes off when entering a home — it’s been in every book. And having one of the guys “jog” or “run” when they’re inside their houses.

I loved Zayn and Ella's story! You get to see that side of Zany we all love and to know why he is always prepared for whatever comes his way..
Ella and Zayn are such a great match, they compliment eachother so well.
Ella is such a sweet soul and always wanting to keep her daughter protected.
Zayn will make you swoon with his big heart and the way he loves the people that he cares for.
I enjoyed this book and the element of suspense you get with this one!

I really enjoyed Zayn it was such a good story with amazing characters that just drew me into the story . This is book three in the protecting you Finding Us series it can be read as a standalone I highly recommend this series you don't want to miss it . The hero and heroine were perfect for one another they had off the charts chemistry . I can't wait to read what's to come by the author and the series .

I loved this book. Zayn is the perfect protective hero, always willing and ready at the drop of a hat to help Ella and I loved how sweet he was with Saige. I liked Ella and her determination to get her life back on track and settled with her daughter. She fit in perfectly with the rest of the group of friends and I loved that they all took her into the fold without question. Story was amazing and I did not picture the twist coming at the end!

I was not expecting to swoon as much as I did reading Zayn and Ella's story. Especially with Zayn's character, I don't think you can avoid falling in love with him and wishing he was not a fictional character. I absolutely loved him but together with Ella, they're truly a wonderful couple.

Zany and Ella’s story was just so beautifully written. The 3rd book in the series hits all the marks. I love how close the boys are and how they support each other what ever comes their way. Ella and Saige fit seamlessly into the gang. A must read.

I loved Zayn!!! This book was amazing and I can’t wait for more from this series. A little bit of suspense in it which made it great. I loved the slow burn, the yearning .. it had a good minimal amount of heat and oh so good! Loved it!!!

I love Zayn and Ella. The suspense in this book is great, I definitely didn't see that coming.
