Great story, opening bit by bit, until you realize you’re reading a thriller with romantic suspense that you can’t put down. A age-gap novella with the elements of a full-length love story and no disjointedness.
Protective hero, widower, and successful, Ash, is more than his kindly first impression conveys. He meets Samara and decides he must save her from her abusive her stepbrother. Brainwashed and groomed to believe she likes pain, Samara is degraded, and even shared among Fraser’s acquaintances.
Ash is so enamored with Samara as to convince her to stay with him while he teaches her, shows her what healthy dominance and submission are as she realizes herself and the autonomy she rightfully wants to enjoy. What I liked about Samara was despite her painful background, she was assertive and not a sweet wallflower. She has a sweetness, too, with her sexuality wearing Disney pjs.
Insta-attraction, hot from Ash with some convincing from Samara, but their attraction was authentic.
This story was like enjoying a croissant, layer upon layer of story reveal, while you’re caught up in the mystery and suspense, rooting for the couple.
Dual first-person, points of view. Excellent pace and so entertaining. Definite dark themes.
Some side characters but not so influential to the plot aside from the stepbrother and perhaps his father. While the whys were wrapped up rather well, I could have used more character background on the Ash's deceased wife, Samara's father, and the stepbrother Fraser's father to have better explained motivations.
Still, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Saving Her by Linzvonc is a twisted dark romance.
This is the first book of Linzvonc's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved that we got Samara and Ash's points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances or romantic suspense.

You know those books where you have no idea how to start a review because you have SO MUCH to say! I was lucky enough to be a part of Linz's arc team for, "Saving Her." I have been a fan of her books since ever since, and so obviously, this HAD to be in one of my favourites as well. It's a beautiful, touchy and steamy read between Samara and the boss of her stepbrother, Ash. And the name should suggest in itself for how much of a fine gentleman is Ash. The author beautifully showed how Samara’s slightly wrong judgement for how she was leading life, getting used by people, and how brilliantly, Ash being a billionaire, a CEO of a company and never a stupid man walks in on them. He saw right through the whole drama, the whole facade, each and everything and tried to save her as much as he could.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book to the max. I couldn't find myself to put it down and even decreased my sleeping hours despite having uni to complete this, lmao. It was was a beautiful journey with no ridiculous plots or exaggeration, nothing cringe and out of the blue. Everything was very well organized, smooth and enough for me to hear my heart BANGING against my ribcage as I held my phone with both hands to read. I am glad to see how protective Ash was of Samara, enough to go to any lengths for her, to show and prove it to her that he loves her. She needed to know that. So overall, it was one hell of an amazing read and I really wish the author would have told us in the epilogue that they were married and were having babies, hehehehe. I love this couple so so so effing much.
If you like a soft series with the boss of your stepbrother, this one is definitely the one for you. Or even if you are into romance, feelings, emotions and erotica? Add this book into your kindle, you wouldn't regret it.

Samara is conflicted and blindsided, she let herself played by Fraser her stepbrother because she think she enjoy everything. When Ash (Fraser’s boss) comes into her life she doesn’t want to loosen up because that's not her, but with him she’ll quiclky understand that he’s not like the others men she’ve met.
Ash has a dark past and has moved on with it but with Samara in his life, will that past still remain in the past ? Since he saw Samara he can’t seems to resist her beauty, but not only this. All he want is to be there for her, protect her, taking care of her. Ash is mysterious, sweet, charming, gorgeous and hot man. You want to have this kind of man in your life.
This book content triggers, so be warn before reading but it worth the try. As i was reading Ash’s POV he reminded me of Easton and Fraser reminded me of Wolfe but Fraser he really at a higher level than him and that's scary. Easton and Wolfe for those who don’t know yet, are two others characters who has their own book also writing by Linzvonc. Usually I’m not into this kind of book but i really enjoyed this. As a reader, you want to be with Ash and helpI didn’t know i were into this kind of book but i were all in this from the start to the end. It was captivating all along.
As usual Linzvonc has this power to let the reader being transported by the story. She knows how to put the twist in it and that’s what i like the most, the unexpected. It’s amazing, i recommended it.

Wow. First off can I just point out that I want an Ash in my life? Seriously. This is Linz Vonc's foray into the taboo world of bdsm and she did not disappoint. I read the whole book in four hours and during that time my house could've burnt down and I wouldn't have cared. Her male leads are addictive and I love that Linz gives her female characters empowerment and inner strength. Gone is the era of shrinking females and big tough guys saving them, now heralds the start of an uprising where females can be badass and men can still protect them. I love that her characters can go through traumatic events and come out the other side knowing more about themselves and the people they choose to share their lives with. I'm looking forward to more of this kind of writing. Well done 😁.

where do I even begin?!!? This is DARK so check your triggers. Samara goes through it! She thinks she has exactly what she wants until Ash comes along and shows her what she's been getting is not what she deserves. Shes being abused by her stepbrother and Ash refuses to leave her there. He wants her for himself. He wants to heal her. This was a quick read but it covered everything! It didn't feel rushed at all. This is a new to me author and I'll definitely read more from this author.

Samara is a victim and being played by her stepbrother , thinking she wants what he is offering her but she doesn't realize that she is only a puppet in his game , thankfully Ash is there for her ❤️❤️ Love how he was patient & protective of her by instance. It's like fate brought them together ❤️❤️ he did everything he can to save her even from herself , trying to unfold all the lies and games and his constant trials to make her back to herself and generally back to life 🥰🥰
I enjoyed this book a lot and couldn't put it down till I finish it 😍😍😍😍
I wished there was more about them by the end as I felt I want to know more about their progress and how life treated them both.

WOW!! This book has me hooked from the first page!! This book is DARK.. lots of TW so definitely look them if you want!! Samara is stuck serving Fraser’s needs no matter what he wants she will do it.. till she meets Ash! Ash knows she is just a play toy for Fraser but he wants to show her how she should and could be treated as a queen.
I read this book so fast it was crazy.. it is a fast burn with lots of HOT 🥵 parts!!!

Where do I start? This book was absolutely amazing and I look forward to doing ARC reviews for the author!
Like a few have said, this little novel has LAYERS. Layers that keep you hooked trying to figure out what other secrets there are. I couldn’t put this book down and the spice was thrilling 😍😍.
At first, in my mind, I was like, “Ash, noooo, she said she doesn’t need your help,” but I’m so glad that Ash was the vigilante and ended up saving her. When you read this book, you realise he’s been given a second chance at loving and protecting his partner. And it wasn’t like he was terrible and being given a redemption arc—just that he was devastated by the loss of his first wife. He absolutely deserves happiness in his life.
To answer some of the more important questions in the epilogue put a unique twist on the book that I was pleasantly shocked by.
If there ends up being sequels/prequels/midquels to this read, I certainly would not hesitate to pick it up as I would like to know more in depth about Fraser, his dad, his mom, Samara’s dad, and Ash’s deceased spouse and/or where Ash’s vigilante status takes him next.

Samara believes she enjoys being degraded and punished by her handsome but psychopathic step-brother Fraser. When Frasers' boss Ash Langford walks in on another moment of humiliation, he is beyond angry and determined to save Samara from further pain.
At first Samara is resistant believing she has consented to everything that took place. But Ash is to show her that you can enjoy intimacy without humiliation and that there is a way to enjoy dominance without giving away all your power.
Fraser however isn't giving up on the power trip, and he abducts Samara. The trauma Samara goes through isn't particularly easy to read, but is oh so satisfying in it's conclusion. Ash is a badass!!

This is a dark read. Samara and her step brother have a weird relationship. One that is not healthy or safe for her. She’s in the thick of it and can’t see how bad it’s gotten. She needs someone to help her and she lucky has that. Won’t give anything away. All I can say is her brother knows no limits. He is willing to do perverse things to her. She goes through so much and it gets worse before it gets better. Please check trigger warnings.
Also, one thing I wasn’t totally into, some people are into degradation and that’s not bad. Especially if people have limits and an honest relationship. I don’t shame any kinks. In the beginning it felt like the kink was made to feel wrong BUT as you read on it’s clear Samara wasn’t in a safe place so I saw past the issue.

Pain, pleasure, control and Ash!
We have one short, steamy and heavy on the red flags novella from author Linzvonc but could I put it down? No, I could not!
Theres pain and degradation, an evil stepbrother but also a knight in shining Armani (yes, he’s hot and rich!), taking back control, trauma, touch her a die and a criminal past (that comes in handy).
I loved seeing how Ash got Samara to understand that what she thought she needed from Fraser, was so different to what she could have. All the while falling for her. And the things he did to protect her! He’s definitely the guy you want in your corner when the bad men come knocking!
Another enjoyable book from this author. Definitely recommend for a short and spicy read!

Definitely give this one a read if you're into a darker style of romance. There are no flowers and rainbows here people, so if that's your thing steer clear. But if you're like me and can take reality out of fiction and like a darker book, this is for you.

This story is captivating, fast paced and DARK so please do check the trigger warnings on Linz’s website before reading.
Samara is strong willed and sassy until she’s under the hands of the depraved man in her life, she’s his pet to do with as he pleases and she’s thrives off of it… until Ash bursts into her life and he’ll do just about anything to make the demons in her life disappear.
I finished this book in a matter of hours as I was completely enthralled by the way the characters were connected and the twists and turns made sure this story is definitely one to take you on a ride, leave you wanting more and seeking answers to the burning question… WHY?!

I finished this book in a matter of hours as I was completely enthralled by the way the characters were connected and the twists and turns made sure this story is definitely one to take you on a ride, leave you wanting more and seeking answers to the burning question… WHY?!

Not for the faint hearted for sure
So I have never read this author before this book but I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the story as much as I did.
The story is well written and the story isn't left with any real questions apart from one that I can think of (What happened to Maria?!)
The reason for only four stars is simply because I felt like a couple of things could and should have been fleshed out abit more. Including the whole Stockholm syndrome angle and Samara's personality.
Overall it's a good quick book heavy on the trigger warnings and I'd recommend it x

Before you read this book please check trigger warnings as this is the darkest book I've read from Linz. With that being said this book had he hooked within the first chapter, I couldn't put it down. Before I realized it I was done reading it. It is so good the emotions and the character growth. Highly recommend this book.
Ash and Samara meet in quite a compromising position. Samara knows how toxic her relationship with her stepbrother is and how out of hand things are getting. Ash is the perfect person to save her from that life.

Woah, this was twisted. Samara is in a terrible situation until Ash sees her and sets his sights on her. She believes she is the way she is due to forces outside of her control until Ash shows her that she is more then she believes she is. Ash is such an amazing morally grey male character that does so all the things to defend Samara. So much stuff unfolds while reading it and it’s intense. Samara and Ash together are amazing. I could read more of them all day long and I wish I was going on that trip with them.

Samara’s relationship with her step brother is so toxic but it’s the only thing she knows. She’s been conditioned to think that she craves the abuse he gives her. I’m so glad that Ash came into her life and saved her from what she thought she wanted and deserved. Ash knows exactly what he wants and isn’t afraid to go for it. He literally saw Samara and knew that he needed to be in her life. Like always, this is a nice quick read from Linz!

And she is so strong despite all that she has been put through. Ash is so devastatingly devoted and oh so sexy. The spice between Ash and Samara does not disappoint and he really showed her what it means to be dominant!

I’m going to say this first there is trigger warnings for this book! Ash and Samara story together is amazing you will have to read for yourself! Ash will make you fall in love with since he is dark and it’s definitely make you begging to want more from him. I think that’s why she fell for him and many things. My emotions was all over the place for these two and I can’t wait to read it over and over again to get some more amazing quotes from the book!

This book was a delight to read.
It was dark, gritty, and incredibly sexy.
Being able to read a book where someone recovers from things that happen to them and is allowed to heal through the story as it's written is a beautiful thing to read, and I love watching the struggle and growth of characters throughout a story.
The smut, the darkness, the dark story elements. All of it was utterly delicious to read!

Oh my god I absolutely loved this. This story is dark the darkest book Linz has written but it was written so well and you could feel all the emotions for Samara and Ash.
I read this in a day purely because being on nights and I couldn’t stay awake otherwise it would have been a lot quicker I couldn’t get enough.
