The book gives a couple of anecdotes from the authors life but it lacks a structure and content. The prayers and meditation examples were nice and I also enjoyed a little insight on the indigenous culture and practices but other than that I didn’t take much from it. It seems more like self promotion than actual advice.

I was eager to read, "Spirit Talker: Indigenous Stories and Teachings From A Mi'Kmaq Psychic Medium" and, I picked it up as soon as it hit the shelves in August (2023. ) Filled with wonderful information from prayer and the importance of breath to meditation, visualization and connection to self, this is NOT your typical New Age or spiritual book. Instead, this book combines, self help tips (connecting and being authentic to self), opening yourself up to a higher power and the importance of prayer, meditation and visualization. This is the perfect primer for anyone wanting to investigate their connection to themselves and to those both past and present. This is a gift!

I listened to this in one sitting. I rarely give one-star reviews and I try to always sit back and reflect before doing so. While this book delves into things I've never believed, I did try to give it a fair shake and try to take things in from the author's point of view. I am a Christian and have always believed that the dead are dead and anyone who thinks they're talking to the dead are actually talking to Satan's minions or are an outright fraud. Perhaps this is a question the author can ask the Lord, Christ, or the Angel Gabriel the next time They talk.

An interesting and enriching read. I am a new Medium and I appreciated the experiences and knowledge that Shawn shared as it helped me to understand many of the things that are happening for me and I also enjoyed learning about his development and journey. The information about Indigenous culture is very inspiring and educational, and the exercises are both interesting and meaningful. I'm also grateful to see a Canadian Medium getting the opportunity to share his experience and abilities - Mediums from all countries and cultures are invaluable and a tremendous asset to learn from.

a must read

I got this book because we have tickets to see Shawn Aug 23. Although excited for the opportunity I really didn’t know much about him or his path. I was not only surprised by how much I enjoyed his own story but the knowledge and direction shared in our journeys and spiritual gains throughout. Good story and information

Here we learn about the author's life and what led them to become a medium. The author goes into detail how spirit impacted their life guiding them to the work they incarnated to do. At the end of the book the author gives some teachings on communicating with spirit.
