With Thane’s memory restored, the Demon pack heir is coming for me again. Despite the inexorable pull I feel toward my mate, my beautiful enemy, I won’t make the same mistake twice. He’s not the only one with power, and it’s time to take fate into my own hands.
He’ll never claim me, he’ll never have my soul.
Or at least that’s what I thought until an ancient foe appears driving me straight into my enemy’s arms. Now we are forced to fight together or be torn apart for good.

G.K. De Rosa has been an avid reader from a very young age. In fact, before she could even read, she tried fooling everyone into thinking that she could. At the precocious age of two, while living in Italy, she had memorized an entire children’s book in Italian and expertly turned the pages at the exact right moments of the story. As she grew up, she always enjoyed literature, no doubt having been instilled with a love of story telling from her early years in Catholic school where she was greatly influenced by exemplary teachers who taught her the value of English and Literature. Though she did not pursue writing in college and instead went for the more traditional route of International Business inspired by her love for travel and all things foreign, after a move to New York City, she found her creative writing side calling once again. She began writing a restaurant review blog, City Lights and Tasty Bites, detailing her other passion – food! The hectic hustle and bustle of the city, combined with long commuting times gave her the opportunity to spend more time reading and rekindled a lost love. After reading countless books in many diverse genres over the two years in New York City, and returning to her home state of Florida, she felt compelled to write something for herself. She had always felt particularly drawn to Young Adult novels and having been an eternal romantic at heart, a fantasy romance was a natural choice. She currently lives in South Florida with her real life Prince Charming and their fur baby, Nico the German Shepherd.
Is it okay to love the second book more than the first? Because I did! Death’s Captive left us with a bittersweet cliffhanger. The morally grey villain finally got the girl, and they completed the mate bond, BUT in doing so, all their memories came rushing back. Which, according to the curse, means Attie (Astra) remembers all the bad (at first). In Death’s Fate, we finally get to see Thanatos’ side. Attie’s memories re-set with every reincarnation, but Thanatos (Thane) is left with all the details. So, while he comes to terms with being trapped in the body of a wolf shifter (the children of his enemy) and how to get Attie back, she is learning more about her past and her powers, and figuring out that he might not be the villain she imagined he was. I thoroughly enjoyed the push and pull between them while they try to be “friends” in order to break this curse. Plus, we also get an insider’s scoop on what the deal is with the goddess Luna and whether she can be trusted. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so be prepared to be surprised by some MAJOR TWISTS in this one! And don’t worry, those cameos by some fan favorites do make an appearance… and a steamy one at that! 😊 (THANK YOU, GK!) So go grab this book and pre-order the next one, because you are going to want to read it! Happy reading!
I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I was not paid for my review.
Death's Fate is book 2 following, Death's Captive. This book picks up at the cliff hanger. I will say, this book was much easier to read, and went much faster. At first it felt like it was going to be much of the same, but I liked seeing Astra and Thane come together in their own way and in their own time. All odds are against them. Fate truly is a cruel mistress. In Death's Fate the two are on the search for Luna and Hecate to break the curse so that Thane and Astra can truly be allowed to love and be together. You learn more about their relationship from each new regeneration, and it appears in this one, it is the furthest they have gotten to the truth. Without giving spoilers, it appears a "fail safe" if you will is put into place in order to ensure it is the last go around for these two.
This book had more spicier scenes, but they are mostly almost fade to black. You get some snippets and then they are waking up. At least this time, they eventually allow themselves to love each other. I liked that the story came along better. We even get to see one of my favorite bachelors from the Kindle Vella series "Hitched Live" that is now it's own book called Sweet Revenge (I really liked reading this one), so this made me very happy. I will forever be #TeamSlade all the way.
Once again, we see the same damn descriptive words CONSTANTLY- azure orbs, lupine, and coalescence. I mean it felt like every page. It becomes all I can focus on. I will continue on with this series. After getting past the first book, I enjoyed book 2 much better and felt like I was starting to finally connect with the different characters. Once they start putting the pieces of their history together, it takes off for me. In this story, it really does feel like they are going to make it....or are they? Get your copy of Death's Fate on February 1st! As a warning, book 2 absolutely also ends on a cliffhanger, so be prepared for that! Per Amazon, it looks like the third book may release April 25, 2023.
The second book in the series and you need to read the first book before this one for continuity and for the simple reason that you will enjoy this series and won’t want to miss out on any of it!
Astra still doesn’t remember her past but she knows who Thane is now and that he is the person she has been told to stay away from. Through circumstances they meet up again and decide to try and find the goddesses who have cursed them and get it removed. This book covers those adventures up to the thrilling cliffhanger where we readers will be waiting anxiously for book three to come out so we can continue on with the story and see what happens next!
This is a fantasy adventure with love, romance, betrayal and intrigue throughout which will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next! It is a well written story and you will quickly be drawn in to the drama between Astra and Thane wherein you will learn their true names and the relationship they’ve had for centuries! Can they break this curse that has doomed them in a never ending loop over and over or will it continue indefinitely?
I really am hooked on this series and highly recommend it but in this series the romantic element is more explicit than in previous series so if you like books where the romance fades to black just be warned that this one doesn’t!
GK’s series have always been great reads and this one is no exception! Love, betrayal and powerful people behind the scenes keep Astra and Thane from the happiness they want and now there is a new wrinkle in the mix! Sometimes the road to love is rocky and this relationship has proven that for sure!
If you like paranormal mysteries you’re going to love this series! In fact when you finish these two books so far in this series, I have a feeling you’ll be getting a completely new completed series by this author to read into the night while waiting?
This is the first time in MONTHS I have finished a book this quickly. It took me just under 48 hours to read, and I could not put it down.
The second installment in Of Gods and Wolves picks up right after book 1. If you haven't read book one, don't read any further!
Astra and Thane have had countless lifetimes of this back-and-forth love/hate relationship, and it was revealed at the end of book 1 exactly how that happened. We got one reason why, but it's clear in book 2 that there is more going on than we had originally thought. The way book 1 really laid the groundwork for book 2 makes me feel like I'm there with the characters, invested in knowing more about what's happening and what will happen to all of the characters I've grown to care about.
As Thane and Astra discover more and more about their history, there are other things happening in the current time that creates more revelations for them, and not all of them are good. This was a really action-packed, fast-paced story and I must have more!
We as readers also learn a lot more about Thane and Astra along with the other gods that have been involved since the start. The book ended on a huge cliff hanger and I am so eager for book 3 so I can find out what happens.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was even better than the first book, which I loved. Astra and Thane find out about the curse that has been put on them, to keep finding each other over the centuries, to fall in love, then for Astra to escape and be kept hidden by the Goddess Luna. The are now on a quest to break the curse and fine out just how many God's and Goddesses are involved in this. Astra also finds out that she is Fate (remember all her memories of her former lives have been erased) and comes into her own powers, Thane's powers are also returning and they have pledged their love once more in the usual fashion (sex and more sex) However it is also discovered that there is a verse that Thane's mother used to sing to him as a baby is more than just a lullabye it is also a prophecy which could have disastrous consequences for the whole world. Left once again on a cliff hanger I went straight to Amazon to discover book three is not out yet. I have pre-ordered it and can't wait now to find out what happens
I'm definitely enjoying this story but it is a bit of a slow burn a lot of the time, I'll still be reading on but I would've preferred this story as a duet, I find more interest in the flash backs of their many lives together it's a little heartbreaking their story but I can't wait to see them get their HEA.
Like many times before Attie once she knows deaths true identity she runs, no matter how much she love she feels for Thanatos she's been programmed to never fall into his traps and so all she knows is to run every time her memories return. But what if she doesn't run? What if this time they don't fight the pull towards each other? This time the body Thanatos finds himself in binds them in a completely different way, this time together they're determined to find a way to break the curse that keeps them apart every lifetime. But the gods must keep them apart at all costs because from Death and Fate, chaos will reign.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Of Gods and Wolves series and ends in a cliffhanger. Thane and Astra both remember who they finally are once they consummate their relationship. Atropos (Astra) and Thanatos (Thane) have been trying to break their curse for generations. This time around, Thane and Astra are on a quest to see Hades, in order to stop the cycle. A baby in the mix complicates things. There are a lot of forces trying to stop Thane and Astra from breaking the curse. Chaos is said to be the result of the curse breaking.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. I liked how Astra finally stops running and works with Thane to get her HEA.
Death's Fate follows on straight after the events of Death's Captive before going onto the altercations that continue three months later. The slow burn continues to sizzle on between Thane and Astra, or Thanatos and Attie, as we uncover more of their background and a new villain emerges.
The thing I love about all of the characters in the Of Gods and Wolves is that they are all multi-dimensional; everyone harnesses light and darkness within them and reasons for their actions, leaving you to question a lot of what you perceived to have known, or opinions towards certain characters that you believed to have been cemented at the end of Death's Captive.
I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes. It will be interesting to see whether other prominent characters in Greek mythology appear, such as Persephone, and what kind of roles they would play in the conclusion to this remarkable ride. I have just found this series really special as it just caters to everything that I love in fiction.
This sequel is an excellent extension of the first book, picking up right where the previous story left off. It offers a captivating fantasy adventure brimming with themes of love, hate, betrayal, and intriguing mysteries that will keep you turning pages in eager anticipation of what comes next!
The storytelling is elegantly crafted, drawing you in quickly to the tumultuous relationship between Astra and Thane, as you reveal their true identities and the deep connection they've maintained over centuries. I can't wait to discover how they will confront the formidable villain and finally break the curse that has ensnared them in this never-ending cycle in the concluding instalment.
Thane and Astra have a unique relationship in that they have centuries worth of different relationships in different bodies. It is a sllooowwww burn with the fickle female lead…. But “fate is a fickle beast”. Even with the slow burn, there is enough spice to keep it moving and enough storyline to have you cheering for them! I enjoyed astra and thane’s story, but I still have questions requiring a book 3 for answers! So I wait not-so-patiently.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Astra and Thane grow closer and the story behind Attie and Thanatos is revealed in this second installment of the series. What a fantastic read of mythology come to life. Great plot and characters you can't help but fall in love with. Love this series and the world of Azar. I volunteered to read this book via booksprout.
I love this series. The balance between greek mythology and the paranormal is exquisite - the different realms coexist. Astra and Thane uncover the reasons behind their curse and Astra remembers more about their past lives. The plot thickens and becomes more complex. I cannot wait to see where this is leading to.
The intrigue of the concept really drew me in. The characters were believable. Some of it felt forced but then again when memory fades you have to try everything in your power. I liked that the story had more depth than just the normal wolf or gods story. The combo really gave way to a good story. I would recommend this series and author.
It kept me guessing with so many twists and turns. This book was a complete pageturner. The flashbacks could be confusing for some readers as there are quite a few. I enjoyed getting to know the souls behind Thane and Astra. Overall, I loved this book it was more exciting than the first. I am so excited about the next book!
Oh my gosh, don't leave me like this! I couldn't put the book down knowing that everyone's tricks will catch up with them, twisted. Attie was a God but got bored so Luna and Hecate, another God decided to help Attie out but put a curse on her and Thane. Luna has three guys as guards for Attie so Thane couldn't find her but Aggie and Thane get together and the sparks fly. Good reading.
Astra and Thane are getting closer and she's remembering more of her past lives. They will fight anyone that tries to separate them again. Now they have Hades to deal with besides his two exes.. Astra has a dream that is impossible, or is it? I can't wait to read the rest of their story and what becomes of them. I recieved this ARC from Booksprout and voluntarily reviewed it.
This is a very good PNR romance with thrills, danger, twists, adventure, and action. The MCs are developed and engaging, and the storyline is entertaining. I enjoyed this book.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another fantastic read from my favourite author this series just keeps getting better and I love how you have entwined characters from other series into it will this dreadful curse ever change who really is to blame luna or death or maybe even fate 😀 loved it
Omg! I loved this one so much! Dare I say, it was even better than the first. I loved seeing Thane’s protective side and his undying love for Attie. I can’t wait for the next one!
I am really enjoying this series, it's complex and compelling, such a tangled love story. I love Astra and Thane and feel so sorry for them. What is in store for them next?
How far will death and fate go to survive their own cursed fated mates romance? This book is filled with turmoil, indecision, and impossible choices set within an intriguing storyline. It took me from one intense emotion to another.
Good continuation of the story. Astra and Thane are learning more about their history and that is laid out wonderfully mixing with the current day events.
