I loved this story! Brennon Colton and Stella Maxwell were knee-deep in a page-turning suspense. The plot twists and turns, the unforgettable villainous characters, the cryptic messages, and the weaving of romance and crime together all showcase Ms Mello’s faultless skills as writer. The Colton family composed of FBI Agents and Profilers, and New York PD all jump in, feet first, to solve this crime. I love the scene where they all assemble together at the Harlem Brownstone of heroine, Stella to contribute their expertise to solving the murder and protecting Stella. Just wait until you discover who is causing all the mayhem and attempts on Stellas’s life. No spoilers, but it’s a mind-blowing moment. I have a confession to make. I have not read any of the previous books that highlight the Colton family. So, you can read this story as a stand-alone with no problem. I recommend CHASING A COLTON KILLER for your reading pleasure. It is entertaining, suspenseful, with just the right amount of romance. You can thank me later!
Each book of this amazing series can be read as a standalone or out of order. I started with book 6, then quickly read book two. I enjoyed both books so much I decided to read the whole series. I can’t wait to read the next book. Stella Maxwell is a classy, strong, independent lady. Most of us would have broken with everything she went through in this book. The book starts with Stella at her desk at work when she receives a strange text. It told her someone was about to die in the back ally behind the building where she worked. She rushed out calling 911 as she quickly walked. She gets there to find that her ex-boyfriend had been stabbed. With no time to process what just happened she was handcuffed and taken to the police station. The author was great detailing all the emotions at that moment. The book pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down. If your looking for a good book, You may love this one and the rest of the series.
Book eight of awesome series The Coltons of New York sees Journalist Stella Maxwell team up with FBI agent Brennan Colton after the murder of her ex boyfriend. Protecting Stella from a persistent stalker, Brennan starts to let down walls and become open to the possibility of more. Stella finds herself falling for Brennan but is wary of opening her heart. This fast paced, action packed adventure is so good I could barely put it down. I love the Colton series and this story is a must!
Chasing a Colton Killer is book 8 in this series, even though I have not read the books before this I instantly fell in love with the Colton’s of New York. The story started out slow and then picked up, the storyline kept me intrigued and wanting to know what happened. I enjoyed this plot and was suspicious of everyone and enjoyed solving the case.
From the moment I starting reading this book I couldn't put it down. Brennan and Stella had chemistry from the moment they met. This is a great romantic suspense and it'll keep you guessing until the end. I highly recommend this book.
The Coltons are a very fascinating and entertaining family that can solve any crime assigned to them and through it all one of them always finds true love Stella and Brennan were made for each other.
It was an ok read. How and why Stella and Brennan fell in love wasn't very clear. The suspense was compelling. I just wish the romance would have taken center stage.
Also noted that the book was poorly copyedited! Characters were described a certain way in one sentence, then two sentences later described differently. Similar thing occurred with job titles.
