Chris Bradford is the bestselling author of the Young Samurai, Bodyguard and Soul Series.

An excellent sequel to the Souls Hunters. The book is just as intense as the first book. As soon as I finished a chapter I wanted to read the next one.

Since Tanas' defeat and death, Genna and Phoenix are separated. Genna's life has returned to normalcy. She believes she has put her time and glimmers behind her. However when the darkness returnes thus will take a personal toll on her. A bit of a role reversal as well, and what is this Soul Prophecy everyone seems to know but nobody is willing to talk about?

This book goes through the origin of the First Ascendants, the Protectors, and the Incarnates. Chris Bradford does an incredible job of his knowledge of other cultures and martial arts in this book. I can't wait for the next book. With the continued war between the darkness and the light.

Auch Band 2 der ,Soul‘-Trilogie hat mir wieder unglaublich gut gefallen. Genna, die erste Nachkommin und Trägerin des Seelenlichts und ihr Guardian Phoenix sind erneut vor dem Inkarnaten und Seelenjäger Tanas auf der Flucht.
Ich liebe die komplexe Verflechtung von Geschichte und Gegenwart, die das Buch zu einem riesigen Handlungspuzzle macht. Die einzelnen Schimmer (Vergangenheitsreisen) sind spannend, perfekt recherchiert und logisch. Jeder Schimmer ist relevant für die Entwicklung der Geschichte und einfach großartig und spannend.
Die unterschiedlichen Charaktere sind so tiefgründig und auf bestimmte Art und Weise miteinander verknüpft, dass man gar nicht aufhören kann weiterzulesen und mehr von ihnen und ihren früheren Leben zu erfahren.
Ich mag diese Reihe so so gerne und finde es wirklich schade, dass sie leider etwas untergeht. Ich kann den finalen 3. Band kaum erwarten und euch diese Trilogie nur ans Herz legen. ♥

Fing spannend an, ab bereits ab der Mitte des Buches war mir alles zu konstruiert und Genna kam immer zu leicht aus brenzligen Situationen heraus.
Die Erweiterung der Welt um die vielen verschiedenen Reinkarnationen der Seelen ist gelungen, hätte aber evtl ein wenig mehr Zeit und Platz gebraucht.
Zudem finde ich, dass Phoenix leider etwas zu kurz kam. Ich fand im ersten Teil gerade die Dynamik und Verbundenheit der beiden toll und diesmal war er leider nur noch eine Nebenfigur. Sehr schade, denn das barg viel Potenzial, was verschenkt wurde.

To be honest: I liked „soul hunters“ more but i guess that‘s just my opinion. I heard very often, that the second book is just as good as the first one but I can‘t relate to that expression. Like yeah the book isn‘t bad and I like it very much but I just think, that the end wasn‘t that good. But i guess that‘s a matter of taste.

But all together it‘s a really good book and i can recommend it!

Great sequel. Tanas is back, we meet more First Ascendants, get more Glimmers of past lives... And learn to use a sword. Just as good as the first, hooked all the way through.

Ik vond dit boek wel leuk, maar erg langdradig. Erg veel van hetzelfde als deel 1, wat dus in deel 1 goed was maar niet meer voor deel 2.
