Millennial Apocalypse sounds tragic. For many, it will be. This book can help you increase the likelihood of a better financial future.
Recessions, student debt, and reduced Social Security benefits position millennials for a stressful economic future. Delays to marriage, home buying, children, and asset gathering help assure economic distress. Making matters worse are traits that produce poor investment decisions and that make it difficult to save and invest successfully.
The authors, a financial professional and a psychologist, provide insight into this unique environment, the traits that it has shaped, and how those traits affect your future well-being. They offer solutions to change behaviors and the unattractive outcomes they seem to predict. There is time to reshape your economic future. Use Millennial Apocalyp$e to empower yourself to change direction, avoid disaster, and build the future lifestyle that you envision.
The fear of recession and the current doldrums that our economy is braving is directly impacting millennials. The sudden dissemination of the Big Tech bubble and its ripple across several digitalized segments is concerning. In this well-timed and relevant book, financial strategist, Zane Brown, and psychologist, Dr. Donalee Brown, address the conditions, fears, and proposed solutions around the financial well-being of millennials.
The book is primarily targeted towards an American audience with many references to laws, socio-economic situations, and even research centered around the American ecosystem. However, most insights are valid for an international audience and informative for all who want to understand the global economy and millennial psychology.
I recommend this book as a thought-provoking and insightful study of the world of millennials. It helps us understand how their sense of entitlement, risk aversion, internet addiction, self-aggrandizement, behavioral biases, distrust in banks and traditional organized financial organizations in favor of cryptocurrencies, and even financial PTSD are impacting the modern social fabric. This book goes on to explain how late marriages, high student debts, delayed or no real estate investment, and zero retirement plans are keeping millennials on the precipice of a financial disaster.
The book offers advice and aims at pulling millennials out of the rut of choosing to remain uninformed and risk-averse while making unhealthy financial decisions. This is an important book for a wide audience - parents, educators, leaders, and of course, the young generation, who are not getting clear answers on what 2023 and beyond hold for the world. This is a stressful time - a book that acknowledges this and offers succor in practical ways while validating the concerns of our generation - is a must-read book.
The research, analysis, examples, and explanations make this an engaging read. However, the descriptive content is often repetitive, as if in an attempt to meet a certain word count. A better way to handle this would have been to include graphics, tables, line drawings, or caricatures, which this book lacks. Yet, this is a necessary book for its advice related to deep analysis, personal connections with professional and financial advisors, delayed gratification, and patience for the millennials.
MILLENNIAL APOCALYP$E paints a picture that, at first sight, seems to be dramatic and worrying, but it actually intends to be an eye-opener and a wake-up call. This book, written by authors Dr. Donalee Brown and Zane Brown, is a complete guide to be financially successful. In it the authors that have vast experience in dealing with millennials and studying their traits, behaviour and finances, explain the current situation for these people and the path they went through to arrive at this point. They also provide sensitive and clear advice to improve our finances, to invest our money and to plan for the future. I think that this book is excellent, especially because anyone can understand it and follow its advice. I recommend it to anyone who is willing to change their lifestyle, their finances, and their future.

I purchased two paperback copies of this book, one for my niece and another one for my grandson as presents; but I have to confess that I purchased this Kindle version for me to also, understand what millennials are getting into financially and, maybe, help out. MILLENNIAL APOCALYP$E: Why You and Other Millennials Are Tracking Toward Financial Disaster and How You Can Avoid It proved to be a wonderful resource for me and for them, since every little thing here is explained clearly and bluntly and any type of reader can gain easy access to information about the economic future.
The book is loaded with ideas to put into practice, and it is written in the form of a guide or, it may even resemble the voice of a teacher explaining concepts in an easy-to-grasp manner.
Millennial Apocalypse is a must-read for my generation. I find it so hard for people to progress financially in these times; our society has changed very fast over the last 20 years and it doesn´t seem to be stopping any time soon.
Dr. Donalee Brown and Zane Brown combine their thoughts to explain to the reader what they can do to avoid disasters in the future, such as bad investments. This last topic is the most important concept developed here.
Overall, I find this book easy to follow; the concepts developed are clear and carry great value. It's a book destined for people who recognize their financial flaws and want to actively do something about them.
MILLENNIAL APOCALYP$E: Why You and Other Millennials Are Tracking Toward Financial Disaster and How You Can Avoid It by authors Zane Brown and Dr. Donalee Brown is such a great and interesting read. The book is clear and concise and I’ve learnt a lot with it. At first sight it may look harsh but as the pages go by I understood it was not all negative. I would undoubtedly recommend reading it. The authors have done a very good job with it.
I think millennials are more aware of what's going on in the world. They are more careful with their finances and purchases. I was hoping this book would be more of a guide for them. Repeat of what most of us already know.
