I enjoyed this, but not as much as I thought I would. After reading the reviews I was expecting a very hot erotic BDSM book. What I got was a sweet love story with light D/S. I had a problem with the beginning of the story because it was pretty ridiculous.

After their first week the story really picked up for me. I thought the hottest sex scene was the phone sex.

I liked both Zack and Kyle and many of minor characters. I felt that problems with Kyle’s brother and father went mostly unresolved, but since they were minor plot points it didn’t bother me very much.

I loved it. Zack was hilarious and cute and Kale was great. It pretty much nailed hookup culture but threw in some instalove and a happy ending, and I don’t care what anyone tells you, we’d all love a little bit more of that in the world. Some people are just meant for each other and don’t need 87 fights, 63 drawn-out convos about who gets to say what, and 2 years of being together to know they work. Is it rare in real life? Yeah. Is this fiction? Yeah.

This can be read as a stand-alone but the first in the series was good too! Can’t wait for the next.

Holy crap! Octavia Jensen has done it again. I love a good m/m romance, and this one does not disappoint!!! I loved Kale and Zack’s relationship, and how wonderfully their personalities compliment each other. Kale is a complete and total brute, and Zack is gentle and obedient. I think they’re a perfect match, and the steamy scenes were just *chef’s kiss* Their romance was fast paced yet believable. I completely recommend!!!

The second book in the Whitecrest series. I may or may not read them all this week 😉 Here we fallow Kale. Twin to Kia. Second youngest of the six brothers. He is looking for his perfect man.

I actually wasn't a fan of this one. I'm not much for MM romance (not my thing, but if it's yours..... 😘) I dont really enjoy Dom/Sub relationships, and I especially cring at the use of the word "Sir."

I found Kale a decent guy who just wanted to take care of Zack. He has his faults, but all in all, there wasn't much to dislike. He put himself out there immediately and went after what he wanted. Have to respect that.

I didn't like Zack at all. He was weak. The epitome of the femboy/twink stereotype. Being called "boy" and acting like a child didn't help. It almost felt wrong to read

After falling in love with the snippets we got of Kale while reading Brennan and Nix’s book, I couldn’t wait to read his story. It absolutely did not disappoint. Zack and Kale are so well written and their relationship is absolutely adorable with a heavy dose of spice. Can’t wait for the next installment and Novak brothers’ stories!

Kale (MMC) and Zack (MM) meet in some very... interesting circumstances and we see Kale put his usual motives aside so he can just talk to Zack.

This story was really cute and I really enjoyed it. The dynamic between Kale and Zack was 🌶🌶 and you can tell that they really care about each other.

We also get to see more of what's going on with the rest of the Novak's, from their dad's bs to Kale and Kairo's twinship and some... familial developments 😏. I'm honestly invested in them

First of all, thank FUCK someone finally said it. When we hook up on vacation, we don’t have conversations about who is supposed to say what or do what. We just go with it and stop to talk if someone goes yellow or we’re about to deepdive into kink. Zack’s a sub, it’s just who he is. It happens whether he has “permission” or not. It’s not a switch he flips when someone tells him to. He just… IS a sub. And Kale just IS a dom. When you come across those people IRL, you don’t need to sit down and go over checklists. I’ve been in the BDSM lifestyle for longer than I care to admit, and books these days put too much emphasis on shit that only happens 10% of the time so people act like it’s wrong if that doesn’t happen. It’s not wrong. Everyone is different. As long as things are safe and consensual, there is no “right” way to enter into a relationship like Kale and Zack’s. And theirs is definitely safe and consensual.

If you don’t know shit about BDSM or kink that you haven’t learned from fiction books, maybe just move on. They’re not perfect but they’re real, hot as hell, and I’d read ten books about them.

I give this a 4.8 - just wish we’d have gotten more of Kale/Kai, though I get the sense that Kai will have his own book soon so I won’t knock it too much for that.

I've read some MM romance/erotica before but the men are always both alpha males or one of them is closeted at the start. This story was so damn sweet and I loved how Octavia normalizes all relationships and all sexual dynamics. Kale is the hot alpha hottie and he falls for Zack, who is a beautiful Twink, but they both know who they are and what they want in a relationship -- even if it took the perpetual hookup alpha a bit longer to clue into it. It was sweet and sexy. Love the Novak's and so happy to continue following this family.

Whew, Zack and Kale are so HAWT! This book was sooo steamy and spicy I needed a cold shower after! I love Dom Kale and how sweet Zack is! They are so adorable together, and Zack perfectly fits, and subs, for Kale, and gives him everything he needs, while Kale does the same for him. Possessive, sooo steamy, mm, HEA, and I absolutely could not put this book down. I devoured it and I am racing to the next book in the series!

This was my first book by this author and I look forward to many more from them. Kale and Zack were adorable together.

The BDSM was just sort of there without a lot of communication, and there was no condom use or discussion anywhere, but overall it was a great story!

Ok, I’ll try not to be too mean because I didn’t even finish. Time of death was around 30% at which point the two MCs had already spent a total of one night together but had already had sex like three times (without condoms and zero discussion beforehand). Twinky sub boy already said “sir”, asked permission to come, etc, without ever having discussed anything beforehand. AND macho top guy is already in love. At 30%.

Also, this particular part seriously confused me:

“I leaned up, pressing down on his stomach to feel the tip of my cock moving inside of him, snapping my hips a little harder each time I felt it pushing against my palm.”

How exactly does that work? This part in particular read like a MF sex scene, along with the multiple orgasms.

Anyhoo, I may be extra judges because I just finished a very deep and emotional series by Alexis Hall filled with wit and depth and allusions, and amazing characterization and this just isn’t that. It’s not supposed to be. I realize that. If you want some OTT PWP, do it.

Loved this book! It was funny, sexy, and addictive! I read this book in under 24 hours! I loved it so much! Kale and Zack are super funny and loving to each other. I loved every moment of this book and recommend it highly!
