Born to a preacher/school teacher and a homemaker in a town known best for Patti Page and the Dalton Brothers (a singer and bank robbers), my sister and brother and I were moved to Georgia when our mother remarried a man who designed airplanes.
I studied news writing at the University of Georgia, then put those dreams on hold to marry my high school sweetheart and travel the world for the next 20 years as a soldier's better half. Our three children visited five continents before they ever visited Florida, our next door neighbor when the Army career was over.
My professional career was built on newspaper reporting and editing, then a couple of tours of duty with not-for-profits. I always needed the "save the world" element to the work I was doing.
Once three college educations were paid for, I fulfilled my own dream of writing full time. The result is seven books that are available on Amazon. I just released my first historical fiction. The sequel is underway. The series is "Unintended Consequences", which history if full of!
Thanks to my avid reader daughter who generously told me about GoodReads! I'm looking forward to meeting some more avid readers!
