He broke me beyond repair. Now he wants to heal me with his touch. He made my youth hell with his cruelty and bullying. When he found out I loved him he rejected me coldly. But I no longer need him. And I refuse to let him push my buttons any longer.
He has to prove himself worthy for the throne and find himself a mate. Everyone knows who he’s supposed to end up with. But when he asks for my company, I blankly refuse. Which he doesn’t take kindly, because as dragon royalty, he’s never been refused.
He’s always in control and plays with my feelings for his amusement. I’m angry at myself for the way my traitorous body responds to him. I’m ashamed of my liquid dreams in which we do unspeakable things. I don’t want him to take what I’ve never given before.
But will he just claim what is his anyway?
Four Royal Dragons must find their mate to ascend the throne. All women bow to these superior, charismatic leaders who don’t bow to anyone themselves…until they meet their female match who softens their egos and awakens their wildest desires.
I have dreamed of writing books since I was a little girl. Always reading, always imagining fantastical worlds and characters, I finally decided to publish the crazy figments of my imagination. I write about shifters, dragons, magic, and hidden worlds that I would like to visit one day...
In my daily life, I love cooking, taking long walks with my wonderful husband, following courses on new topics that I know too little about, and visiting family and friends in faraway places.
Thanks for experiencing and sharing my imaginative world with me!
Blair poured her heart out to the Dragon Prince Hugh some 5 years ago and was sent on her way believing that Hugh had orchestrated all and that he intentionally broke her hearts . She is now Mistress charged with the safety of young women who will probably have one of them being wedded to the Prince. She still holds a grudge against Hugh and would like nothing more than have her revenge at his expense.
The author has definitively the gift to create an environment where she describes to a T, the physical and emotional person that is Hugh the Crown Prince of the Dragon Shifters. She takes the reader on a virtual adventure with two of the main characters in the hope that misunderstanding and settle what was at the base of the dispute. Full of Love, Resentment, Treachery, hate and intrigue leading to action, this 5 Stars Rated book is full of twists and turns and a morale to the story. One cannot do a good job of leading others if he or she walks a mile in the shoes of all the people of the Kingdom.
I incorrectly Assumed this book series was continuation of previous series of billionaires dragons bronze gold silver brass .. the story of of Chas’s sister. More specifically Who I assumed had mate sickness since her illness was never explained only hinted at . And she seemed to have a connection to elemental magic. But that series is abruptly over without any answers without , well anything tho most exciting story potential and author just tossed it aside .. without a care. but that series was a disaster… so no way am I reading another disappointment from this author, Who is now on my burn list ! Why am I mad? The previous series was a rev’ed up engine that got sputtered out before it went anywhere .. never explained anything and most nothing happened where there was great potential for something to happen it just didn’t. And anytime something did happen the fire was put out immediately and it was back to calm and boring with no heat or excitement . No way Ann I going through that again .. so no thank you to this series .
This author is a relatively new one for me, I only discovered her about a year ago and since then I have devoured her books, I love her writing style and the way she brings life to her characters. This is the first book in a new series and I have to say I enjoyed the way Blair made Hugh, our dragon prince work for her love, it served him right for his past treatment of her.
I love Dragons and think they are the best shifter genre to read and I enjoyed going along on Blair and Hugh's journey.
The characters are well-drawn and the storyline includes not only dragon shifters, fated mates, danger, drama, magic and deception there is also some wonderfully intense chemistry and some great banter going on for us to enjoy!
I wanted to like this, however I am not a fan of the author’s writing style of droning on and on about what the character is thinking (internal dialogue) - this is pretty much the Cinderella story- predictable villain and love triumphs in the end. Won’t bother reading next in series.
This is the first book of a new series. The story is good, plenty of background information and character development, but it moved a bit slow for me, not sure exactly why.
