10 stars! Desi representation! Let's go! I posted this on my bookstagram and I'll say it here as well but I am going to promote the hell out of this book. Fake-dating where he falls first! That's the type of shit I signed up for. I had a part where I hated Varun and wanted to throw the book across the room, but I am going to wait and see what happens in the sequel. I am exhilarated that there's going to be a sequel. Before this book, I could proudly say I never cried when I read and then Riya's backstory happens. Read this book in less than an hour.

Enough about those 2. The main characters Anaya and Vihaan, we have to talk about them. HE FALLS FIRST! Did I mention that yet? HE FALLS FIRST and he's the one that made the rules! You already know it was going to happen when his rule was "we don't fall in love." The fact he starts to do everything for her and they were just acquaintances we asked her to be his +1. WOW! This is what I love about the book bc it's not friends to lovers nor strangers to lovers. A whole new trope and I am here for it. AND we get a chapter from the villian's POV. THAT'S THE SHIT I SIGNED UP FOR!

Seems there are no other reviews yet so I'll add the trigger warnings for the novel are - domestic violence and infertility.

I can get you to read this book in three words. HE FALLS FIRST!

Is it possible to give a book more than 5 stars because this the book! Think I might have a favorite author! Read in 1 hour. Only 260 pages so it's possible. Fake dating trope.

Bromance in this book was so cute (til it wasn't - no spoilers) and I really can't put into words how excited I am for the sequel. My heart goes out to Riya, even though Riya isn't FMC, her story had me in tears. Author did a beautiful job representing endometriosis and infertility without getting to heavy into it. Representing domestic violence doesn't always come from a partner, it starts at home most of the time.

TRIGGER Warnings - There is a page for content warning right at the start but in case anyone checks here before buying the book the trigger warnings are domestic violence and infertility.

No there is no pregnancy trope present in this novel.

A Multifaceted Gem: Romance, Friendship, and Social Awareness
Rating: 5/5

Review
Within the pages of this book, I discovered a literary gem that captivated me on multiple levels. While initially drawn in by its enchanting romance, it was the nuanced portrayal of various themes that truly left an indelible impression.

One aspect that stood out amidst the romance was the author's courageous exploration of women's health issues. Though a minor element in the grand scheme of the narrative, its inclusion spoke volumes about the author's commitment to addressing important societal issues within their work.

Furthermore, while the romantic entanglements were undoubtedly engaging, it was the portrayal of bromance that truly stole the show. The authentic camaraderie between characters added depth and richness to the story, showcasing the author's adeptness at depicting meaningful relationships beyond the romantic sphere.

As a reader committed to exploring an author's entire oeuvre in chronological order, stumbling upon this indie gem was a delight. It speaks volumes to the talent and versatility of the author, and I eagerly anticipate delving into their other works.

In summary, Beautiful Consequence is a testament to the author's skill in crafting multifaceted narratives that resonate on both emotional and societal levels. A must-read for those seeking a blend of romance, friendship, and social awareness within the pages of a compelling story.

My thoughts-
This was a nice and easy to read book at 276 pages. Vihaan and Anaya, the main characters, are very likable and relatable which I enjoyed! Riya’s story broke my heart, I did shed a few tears for her while reading. I enjoyed Vihaan’s restaurant was vegetarian and Anaya was from Oregon which is my home state! Please keep the triggers in mind! All in all, I enjoyed reading this!

This is a personal preference but the book uses emojis and I’m not fond of them in books. There was also a lot of adult/inappropriate language so just keep that in mind if you’re someone who doesn’t like cussing.

beautifully and exquisitely written. After reading her debut novel, of course I had to come back for Beautiful Consequence. In case no one has told you... HE FALLS FIRST. Yes, I know the reviews before me said the same thing but that's so hard to find in any book.
The story itself is bittersweet, with the subject of DV, infertility and abuse being brought up, it really is a touching read. A lot is happening, in the best way possible and I'm here for it.

Beautiful, showstopping, amazing, extravagant, never been done before, Jyoti is incredible to write about these "taboo" subjects all while representing the Desi community. We love to see it!!! Can't wait for the sequel!
