This came as a personal request but have to admit that I was absolutely unaware about the book and the author..
Googled😁👍 And thanks to insta🙏 that I am getting to know so many budding authors and writers 📝& also reading everything from short story to 600 page novel.. from fiction to non fiction.. from fantasy to self help..from history to science...and what not...
Literally devouring books😁
I am glad that I read it.. it was a short read but an interesting one👍

Abstract:
The Story revolves around Lizzy and Darcy, who are roommates and working at different places..Lizzy in a cafe and Darcy attends an arts school.. for some reason Darcy had to move out. And here Lizzy fell in love with Kattie and soon they become undetachable and Lizzy moved in with Kattie. At the same time Darcy fell in love with Leo in Greece and absolutely inseparable.. well it was like perfect place for both of them to be in.. but as usual TWIST💔 always comes when everything seems perfect..both of them broke off .. at the same time.. coincidence or planned🤔 read and find out the reason🤐 And then you realise with all the twists and turns that both the stories are one..what?? Means??The girls are same or the stories are same🤔
Well..the tale is written chapter wise with one chapter dedicated to Lizzy ..another to Darcy..then again next one to Lizzy and so on and that is what makes it an interesting read..like you are reading two tales at one go..this one with Psychological Suspense 😱🤫

What I didn't like: For me somehow, things became too predictable and there was nothing as such to hold on to..but because it was a short read, I could finish in one sitting 😶 Still it can be a good one time read...

Happy Reading 💖

Ha! I knew it!

This was intense, we have two POVs, Lizzy and Darcy’s, both girls are roommates, Lizzy is a walking mess and Darcy has a good life, they both fall in love for the first time, Lizzy with a girl she meets at work and Darcy with a boy at Greece…. and that's where the roller coaster starts.

That end was crazy! A big thanks to the author for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, what a quick but intense read. There is honestly no other way to describe it really. Two Minds pulls you in, tangles you up, then spits you right back out. And I know I’ve said its intense, but this novella really is tangled and crazy and wild. There are just so many ups and downs throughout it.

Where this one excelled the most is the writing. Griffits just expertly wove together the story between Lizzy and Darcy and really ensured that you were engaged throughout the novella. And I also really just enjoyed the two characters and how different yet similar they are. And even though I’m not a huge fan of multiple POVs I think it worked (for the most part) in this one.

I know I’ve already said this multiple times, but be prepared for a wild ride in this story. BUT, on the plus side the length of the book means you won’t have to spend forever trying to get through the twists. I’ve really come to appreciate novellas this year and I think for stories like this one the length works better. At least for my attention span.

Two Minds by Naakaree Griffitis

BLURB-
The story is about Lizzy and Darcy, two roommates and best friends. Where Darcy has a perfect life, the perfect parent and is on her way to her dream vacation to Greece, Lizzy is a mess, she works overtime in a coffee shop and is addicted to drugs, owes money to her drug supplier and is knees deep into trouble.
They both have a crazy affair and the story is about how they fare in it.

OPINION-
The cover is gorgeous, I almost wanted to dress up in the same way and pose as the picture. The title Two Minds couldn't be more right, it perfectly describes both the girls and emphasises on how different there life is, totally opposite to one another.

The plot is intense although nothing very complicated. There are two different Point of views which leaves no confusion regarding whose story is being told.
The language was simple and fluid. The writing style was smooth and kept me engaged.

With only 132 pages, it was a short easy read, taking me hardly three sittings to finish.
There are two main characters and few sub characters. While the descriptions are pretty spot on, there is no character development.
The small details like the villa in Greece or the coffee shop was spot on.

The climax was predictable but a satisfying ending although but rushed. I wasn't expecting it when I started reading the story but somewhere around the last 20 or so pages, I felt it coming. The element of suspense and romance was surely maintained through out the story but the suspense factor was little less than romance.
Overall, a good one time read.

“Two Minds” is a novella with narratives from Lizzy and her roommate, Darcy. Lizzy and Darcy both have their own quick and crazy love affairs. While Lizzy’s life seems to be imploding, Darcy’s life seems to become what dreams are made of. The ending is twisted and will leave you in shock.
Thank you to the author for a copy in exchange for a review.

My feelings:

Two minds isn't a genre I read often.
But im soooo glad I read this.
It's only a short story, but it's a Really dam good one.
I had some of the plot pegged from the start, but I wasn't expecting the ending at all.
It was fantastic and the rollercoasters of emotions I went through where insane!
The audiobook was fantastic as well, and the author used Australian narrators, holding true to it’s roots.
Very well done!
Highly recommend!

🍂I really liked this book, the story is very easy to understand, I liked the author's writing I could understand everything very well despite my little English, it entertained me a lot without a doubt it catches you and with the end it will certainly surprise you a lot, It has few pages so you can finish it in a day, or a night in my case thanks to insomnia, I highly recommend it, thank you very much to the author for sending me the book🌿 ( instagram : girasol_lector)
