Billionaire Grumpy Grinch

Rate this book
It’s snowing outside, but inside, the heat between this grumpy billionaire and me is smoking HOT.
We’re trapped in a blizzard with only each other for the holidays.
He is such an entitled prick. A real-life grinch in the flesh.
I hate him at first. But my eyes are glued to the chiseled hunk of a man.
Watching his strong arms cut wood, build a fire, and become my protector changes everything.
Now, there’s a fire raging in me and only he can calm my desires.
He’s my brother’s best friend and totally off-limits.
After mind-blowing nights of O’s, I want him even more.
In the real world, we’re miles apart and live totally different lives.
When the storm subsides, I don’t want to return to normal.
His grinch heart is growing and my one Christmas wish is a future with him.

Billionaire Grumpy Grinch

I didn’t think this one was as good as others with a similar story.
Also I had a real dislike for him wanting to be called Daddy during sex.

Cute, cozy, entertaining and tender. These were the words I thought of after finishing this book. This is the first book I’ve read where it focuses solely on the people in the story and no drama, outside distractions or work. We know very little about Gabe and Jenna and the kind of people they are in the real world and careers. It was nice to just have the focus be on who they are as people in their personal life and everything they’ve been through. This was a strictly getting to know you and in finding an emotional and personal connection with someone while in close quarters. They didn’t have any phone or media to distract them from getting to know one another. We see the build of a relationship just from knowing someone and being with them only for a few days and it shows how a first impression really makes an impact unless you have more time to get to know the person. There wasn’t any extra drama after they connected with each other or something that drove a wedge between them. The whole point of the story was to see how far they came. When they weren’t getting along throughout the beginning of the book, this becomes the wedge. They purposely close off from each other because they aren’t sure what the other’s angle is and if they can trust each other. All Jenna knows is that Gabe insulted her Christmas traditions she does with her brother Dean and the lengths they go to in order to spend the holiday together and recapture what was lost during their childhood. This doesn’t sit well with her and leaves a bad impression so she has nothing but negative thoughts about Gabe. What ultimately brings them together is loss. They understand that in each other and it leaves a hole in their heart so leaps are hesitant for both of them. This book follows Gabe who is a billionaire, but the whole time you don’t get this vibe. The author doesn’t talk about his material things, what he has and how he spends his money. She touches on the fact he’s a workaholic and has loads of money, but nothing in more detail other than that. I would have liked to at least hear about some of these things in this book but it was meant to be about the feeling Christmas gives you and how magical it can be. Very well done and enjoyable!

Billionaire Grumpy Grinch By Cami Calvin is the latest in her Grumpy Billionaire Series. This one takes place during a family Christmas Vacation and is a wonderful Holiday read. The characters are well developed and the story is both engaging and unique.

Jenna and her brother Dean have been going to the same lakeside cabin for Christmas since they were young kids. After the death of their parents, they have continued to go to the same cabin to keep with family tradition. The first few years Dean paid for the rental as he was working and making good money while Jenna was a struggling college student but this year Jenna wanted to pay. She saved for months to afford this cabin. Jenna decided to bring her best friend Lexi this year.

Dean decided to bring his good friend Gabe this year. Gabe is both a coworker and Dean's mentor. Dean and Gabe arrive at the cabin shortly after Jenna and Lexi. Gabe's first words were not flattering about the cabin which upset Jenna and made her call him a grumpy Grinch. She not only saved for months but this was part of her Christmas traditions and her way to feel close to her parents. Jenna immediately did not like Gabe and her comments back to him made Gabe not like her either in spite of finding them both finding the other attractive.

Both Jenna and Dean were trying to figure out how to have an enjoyable Christmas holiday with the each other when Dean and Lexi went to town to get food and supplies. A fast moving unexpected snow storm blew into the area closing the roads and stranding Dean and Lexi in town for several days. The storm blew out a large window in the living room of the cabin and knocked out the electricity causing Gabe and Jenna to find a way to co-exist and get along.

Jenna and Gabe's story was interesting and full of all the feels when they learn about each other and their pasts. It is a fun ride and ends with not one but two HEA's. It is a great read and I recommend it for holiday and non-holiday reading.

Nursing student Jenna and her number crunching brother Dean are both bringing friends to a cabin on Lake Lanier, Georgia for Christmas, a tradition they shared with their parents, now deceased, for many years. Enter fun-loving Lexi and billionaire grumpy grinch Gabe. Right away, sparks fly between Jenna and Gabe, and not in a good way. War is declared before they even have time to unpack.

Then, it never rains but it snows in the not so sunny south - 12 to 24 inches expected, and all roads are closed, with Gabe and Jenna in the cabin, and Dean and Lexi in town gathering groceries. Oh, boy!

Things start getting interesting when the fireplace starts roaring and Gabe and Jenna start pulling sweaters over the heads. And it gets even more interesting when Jenna brings out a deck of cards. Suffice to say there is a whole lot of steam filling up the cabin before Deam and Lexi make it back from their own layup.

Cami Calvin has once again proven what a master storyteller she is, so give yourself a sexy early Christmas present with Billionaire Grumpy Grinch. It will most certainly put you in the holiday spirit!

Thawing The Ice Around Their Hearts For Love -
Gabe and Jenna’s initial interactions were combative, but they later realised they had more in common with each other, after spending time getting to know each other in and out of the bedroom. The circumstances they found themselves in, didn’t deter them from exploring the sexual tension between them, but they were still apprehensive of their futures.

This was a truly excellent storyline, that had me totally engrossed because I couldn’t stop reading until I reached the end. There was an emotional depth to the story, that really shook me to the core, but still left me wanting to read the book again, after I finished reading it. I enjoyed the book so much, that I stayed up until the early hours of the morning, just so I could finish reading it.

I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a little bit of a different twist on an enemies to lovers story in that it's also a Christmas story. Gabe is best friends with Dean and Lexi & Jenna are best friends. For Christmas this year, they are all making a trip to a cabin in the woods that Dean & Jenna stayed in when they were kids (they are brother and sister). When Gabe first comes to the cabin, he insults it and Jenna by saying how not fancy it is. There is a blizzard coming soon and Dean & Lexi decide to make a trip to town for more supplies. The storm comes and Gabe & Jenna are trapped in the cabin alone. Some strip poker and rum-laced cocoa happens and soon Jenna sees that Gabe isn't so awful after all. But can they learn to be together and get along? And what happens when Dean finds out his best friend wants his sister? Read this cute story and find out.

This is a nice, warm Christmas story, an easy read, an enemies to lovers, age gap romance with likable characters, so you should definitely give it a read. The story takes place during a family Christmas vacation. Jenna and her brother Dean were going to the same lakeside cabin for Christmas since they were kids. This is the first year Jenna is paying for the rental, she’s been saving for months. She decides to bring along her best friend Lexi and the brother decides to bring his good friend Gabe. The boys arrive shortly after the girls and Gabe's first words about the cabin are not flattering so he’s instantly done in Jenna’s books. A Christmas holidays go, there is a fast moving unexpected snow storm that moves things along and we end up with not one but two HEA's. It is a good read and I recommend it for holiday reading.

Lake Lanier does it again; bringing people together that least expect it. I love Christmas time, so I loved reading this book. Being stuck with someone you can’t stand in a snowstorm completely away from society and no electricity, would be bad news bears. The chemistry between Jenna and Gabe was off the chart once they stopped their grudge against each other. The steam between each other heating it all up. Definitely made me ready for snow! Two HEA’s in this book.

If your looking for a HEA Christmas read this it is a good one. First book of Cami Calvin I read and thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were well written and the story kept your interest to the end. The brother’s best friend, age gap, with some steam and a grinch’s personality was great reading and highly recommend. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

Christmas themed with Ebenezer Scrooge spin. Written in two character Jenna and Gabe’s perspectives. Gabe is lonely and is invited by his mentee and close friend to spend it with him and his sister. Only things don’t go according to plan. I enjoyed the entire reality how first impressions can go bad and spend the rest of the story making amends. An almost enemies to lovers vibe and real romance. The snow storm survival bit was creative and riveting.

Christmas Love

This was such a sweet love story focused around the Christmas holiday in a place that doesn’t see snowy winter storms…except this particular year. A page turner, this story introduces us to a grinch, a sister and a brother and a best friend. We’ll, technically, the grinch is also a best friend…of the brother. The unexpected happens and survival and a peaceful existence is critical and enemies became lovers… I loved this and am ready to start the sequel, Book 2!

Simple, yet intense
It's a good, tender romance that begins with prejudice between Gabe, the unexpected guest and Jenna who finds herself stuck with him. The story is simple, but intense at the same time, between them, to erase their past and allow themselves an unplanned life before their vacation.

This was a warm Christmas story. It was a nice an easy read, just like a Christmas book should be.
It was Enemies to Lovers and Age Gap trope.
Characters were easy to like once they had got over their grumpy stage of course.
There was a lot of hot chocolate and spicy scenes to keep you warm this Christmas.
Definitely give it a read if that's something you like.

A full length smutty hallmark novel! You’ve got the recipe for a Christmas win here. Brothers friend, snowed in cabin, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, Scrooge and Christmas elf. And some hot kinky sex scenes ;) the epilogue is chefs kiss. That’s how you give us an ending, folks!

I’m not going to lie. I kind of really want that side story….

Christmas cheer.

Enough steam to fog up the cold windows in the cabin . Turns out both Dean & Jenna had some Christmas cheer this year. Gabe turned out to me so much more than the grinch . Gabe became Santa & Jenna became his angel. Looking forward to finding more books by this author . Grab a hot cocoa & dive into this fun story.

This was not a good start to my holiday season reading. DNF. Jenna was way too immature and annoyingly so. It was also a bit outrageous with the extreme weather in December in Georgia that they’d have to be worried about frostbite from 10 seconds with your gloves off. I just didn’t like the characters enough to keep reading.

Billionaire Grump

I lived this book, it was very fast paced which it made hard to put down. Gave and Jenna were perfect for each other. I lived how their vest friends added to their story.

Better than some I've read. It was entertaining and a good read. He threw the "Daddy" crap in there too soon for our liking, but that's just us. And, of course, the double HEA was pretty easy to see coming. But the read was time well spent.
