Have you ever wondered who the boy was before he became Santa Claus? Well, now’s your chance. Meet Nick. He’s your typical fifteen-year-old orphan from New York City whose whole life is turned upside down when a band of menacing elves break into his home at Lost Star Orphanage. The children are kidnapped, but three are left behind—an aspiring inventor named Gilbert, a free-spirited girl named Emma and, of course, Nick. An enchanted snow globe sets the trio off on an epic journey across the world to rescue the orphans. Along the way, they befriend an old toymaker, an exiled witch, and a slew of magical creatures they never knew existed. Battling gremlins, escaping yeti, learning the rules of magic—all while unraveling a prophecy inscribed on his snow globe, Nick and his friends arrive to the heart of the North Pole. There, Nick must save his friends (and possibly the world), from a cruel, menacing elf. While doing so, he will discover his family’s ancient legacy.

BRAND NEW, YA LGBT Paranormal book releases 10/12/2016!
I just can't anymore! 😣 Such a delightful story, I think ... absolutely ruined by the horrendous formatting (on Kindle). I'd be so freakin' embarrassed to be the author of what I believe is a fun tale and then have it presented to the masses in such awful condition. I can't even get into the story because of the constant (literally every single page!) paragraph breaks right in the middle of sentences ... among other issues. Like constantly being slapped! 😅 Just ... nope! Many other books waiting to be enjoyed. Movin' on ...
Nick is a wonderful take on the origins of St. Nick. Full of magic, wonder and danger, Nick has a lot of heart. When this tale starts, Nick is an orphan. He has been raise in an orphanage, and is like a big brother to all the other children. One night, the orphanage is attacked by creatures, led by Avamork, who are looking for Nick. As Nick, Emma, and Gilbert escape, they follow one clue they have, as to who Nick is, and set off on a journey to rescue their fellow orphans. Nick is a perfect tale if you love tales of Christmas, hope, and characters coming into their own. You feel for Nick as he finds out there a whole other world he never knew about, and fights for what he cares about.
This is a fast paced adventure that was so well written that I could see it playing before my eyes. I kept thinking it would make a great movie. The character development and plot twists had you rooting for Nick and his friends and for a happy ending.
