Things changed after the Great Flood. The sky grew heavy. The seas grew light. The horizon, where they meet, became blurred.
Six centuries ago, the floodwaters were released from the deep to destroy all the Earth. It is by the power of the Seraphim that the Ark of Aelia was spared from this destruction.
The Ark was established as a refuge for humanity, a place of preservation for that which has been lost. But it is under threat from an ancient power—the Remnants. Erik has already fallen victim to them. To save him, Nehemiah must leave the Ark for Insula Orientalis, uncovering secrets of the past, how the Ark was formed, and how the Seraphim came into existence. But the answers Nehemiah seeks do not lie in the present. To save Erik, Nehemiah must relive the memories of the first bearer of the Seraphim of Balthazar and enter the world of the Age of Chaos.

Can't get enough of this story. It's so unique. The world settings and all the twists happening gets me every time. I haven't read a work where religion and technology have been connected this way. Every time I think I understand where plot is going, I'm surprised by something unexpected. I can't wait to read the last volume.
