After eight years with his fae father in Faerie, being trapped in a small Northern Michigan town with his controlling human mother is pure agony. Magic defined Bennett—it affirmed his identity as a trans man and allowed him true freedom.
Too bad Bennett's father stole his magic and kicked him out of Faerie with zero explanation.
Desperate to return, Bennett hunts down Callum Truett, a reclusive magewolf alpha who may be able to restore Bennett's magic. He doesn't expect his long-lost childhood best friend Jesse Chen, another alpha wolf shifter, to barge in during the meeting. The tension between the two alphas is impossible to ignore, but it works in Bennett's favor when Jesse needles Callum into accepting the job.
As each magical experiment fails, taciturn Callum keeps Bennett grounded, while cheerful Jesse lifts his spirits. The developing three-way connection turns into powerful attraction, even forcing Jesse and Callum to confront the mutual feelings they'd denied until Bennett arrived. Together, they all fit.
Yet Bennett still can't let go of his desire to leave the mundane realm behind. Everything about it makes him miserable. Everything except Callum and Jesse.
When an opportunity to return to Faerie finally appears, Bennett is forced to give up his two gorgeous alphas, or change his definition of home.

A FAE'S TWO ALPHAS is an 76,000 word M/M/M paranormal romance with a trans man protagonist. The romance is a triad, not a love triangle, and features multiple open door intimate scenes. Happy ending guaranteed.
The plot is a little meh and gets resolved kind of strangely. Mostly seems to be there to aid the characters in getting together and having hot sex which I'm not mad about.
I do wish the relationship had been more even with Callum and Jesse properly acknowledging and acting on their feelings for each other instead of just sharing Bennett. The last few pages made it seem like they'd be in a proper triad but we didn't really get to see that on-page.
Overall: some hot spice, some meh plot, and crazy parents.
First I want to say thank you to the Author for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review. I had a feeling I would enjoy this story based on the blurb, and I was right! This was a really fun and quirky read. This one gets a solid 4 sheerly because of the amount of times I giggled while reading.
A Fae’s Two Alphas follows Bennett, a trans man, as he tries to get his magic back. He is helped by his childhood friend, and a powerful lone-wolf mage. This story focuses heavily on Bennett’s struggle being trans in a world where he does not appear as who he really is, and is a driving force behind him wishing to cross the veil and regain his magic. Bennett ends up catching feelings (and does so fairly early on) for both Alpha wolves, and helps them realize their feelings for each other.
A Fae’s Two Alphas has an HEA, but there’s a good bit of angst to go through to get there, while the characters navigate their personal struggles alongside trying to figure out how they fit together. This is going to sound sarcastic, (it’s not) but I loved how bratty Bennett comes across. So many of his lines had me laughing out loud. The amount of times the word ‘twink’ was used was fucking excellent. I haven’t annotated books a lot, but I highlighted a lot of quotes from Bennett specifically. One of my favorites, that I think really demonstrates his character was “Maybe I can manifest something to dry myself with simply by being miserable enough.” So relatable.
The pacing felt good, and I think there was a nice amount of plot going on around the open door scenes. (If you’re wondering if there’s two knots- yes. Yes there is.) I’m a sucker for trans & poly content so I enjoyed that it’s more of a ‘throuple’ situation than a guy with two boyfriends. The Grumpy x Twink x Sunshine pairing was also a huge draw for me. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.
DNF 70% for now. Maybe I’ll give it a try later, but the MMC’s personality wasn’t for me.
I LOVED the comparison of being a fae disconnected to the human realm to the trans experience of dysmorphia and misfitting. And the love interests were wonderful. But the protagonist’s personality didn’t click with me. He was a bit whiny and passive and needed a lot of carrying by the love interests, which I didn’t enjoy as much.
Others still might like this book, it could just be a personality difference.
Please do not use testosterone as birth control. I'm glad that the characters ultimately didn't. But testosterone doesn't make you infertile or cause your fertility to dip so low that you cannot get pregnant. Unfortunately, this is a myth that doctors still say, and this book said. Trans and nonbinary people with uteruses can and do get pregnant while on testosterone and with testosterone levels equivalent to cis men.
This was a pretty sweet triad fantasy/paranormal romance between two cis male wolf shifters and one fae trans man. Bennett has lost his access to Faerie and his magical powers, which allowed him to change his body in a gender-affirming way. He seeks out Callum, a mage wolf shifter, to assist him in regaining his powers, and encounters his childhood best friend Jesse, whose sister is now pack alpha.
I greatly enjoyed the exploration and playing with magics used to assist Bennett's gender goals. For him, taking away his powers isn't just part of him lost but also incredible gender dysphoria. This occurs every time Callum's spells fail to regain Bennett's powers.
The twists around the overall mystery were fun. The world-building left a lot of things open but gave us enough to understand what was happening. (Though I did think Bennett's mom would be revealed to be a Bear shifter, but alas, no.)
I waffled a bit on the romance. Jesse and Bennett, as childhood best friends turned lovers, worked pretty well, especially as Jesse believes in Bennett and the scene of them playing in the river together. I didn't find everything with Callum as smooth, and it seemed to go from a bit of hurt-comfort to sex to jealousy to working out the triad, but I missed a beat or two.
Read a little bit like a (well written) wattpad book, but was a sweet read. It felt like the world was a little too bottled; I could have gone with more development in Jesse and Callum's relationship, for one. The three were cute together, and I had fun reading this - but some of the scenes also felt a bit disconnected, like you were missing some of your senses.
I also feel like we could have used more time with the dad, or with Bennett trying to adjust to the human world, or even explored the dynamic with Jesse's pack. It also felt odd how Jesse's sister treated Bennett - he's a 23 year old adult. I understand being irritated with his mother's harassment, but couldn't they have taken the phone off the hook? Hung up on her? What if he was escaping a bad situation with her (which he practically was)? Perhaps she wouldn't understand at first, with the pack-centeric mindset that comes with being raised in one/being an alpha of one - and that would have been really interesting, and given her some dimension!
I think, ultimately, that's what this comes down to - if a book is trying to be three-dimensional in your mind, then this one only managed to be two dimensional. And while that's still a fine style, it does mean that you lose some of the detail that draws a reader in.
I did laugh a couple times, reading this - and smile others. The sleepover scene was a favorite, and I don't want you to think I didn't want enjoy the read; I just left feeling like it could have been more.

i want to start this off by saying thank you SOO much to the author for letting me receive an arc of this book and i am sorry if this review makes no sense it is 1am.
i LOVEDDD this book. firstly, the characters 💕💗💓💖💘 bennett was such a good main character. i related to him heavily. the way the book described his struggles with dysphoria/being stuck in the mundane realm hit me really hard. i loved seeing him form his relationships with callum and jesse. callum was so caring and kind, i LOVE a “grumpy” character in books. jesse was so bubbly and sweet. idk what else to say except i loved them!!!
the story with bennett’s parents and what happened to his magic was really interesting and i had no idea where the author would take it. the writing was really well done and i was never confused about the magic or what was occurring which i heavily appreciated.
overall, i definitely recommend this book to anyone interested!!
Dnf@55% I’m so lost. It feels like half the story is missing. There’s hardly any interactions happening on page. We learn that 2 of our characters have been getting more intimate but none of it happens on page. Like that seems like important character/relationship development. There should have been way more world building. Maybe there’s more later on but I’m very disinterested.
I loved this book. It is, once again - and not in character for me - a supernatural erotic romance. At this point I just need to accept it, because it is really good.
“A Fae’s Two Alphas” tells the story of Bennett Chiston, self-proclaimed twink, a half-fae stranded in the human world after having his magic stolen. By his own father.
When we meet Bennett he only has one thing on his mind: “I want to go back home.”, and it’s honestly understandable. Bennett is trans, but he has lived in a realm where he got to choose his physical form since he was thirteen. Being thrown into a human body - with a whole new chest - he doesn't feel like himself. Doesn't feel right.
He’s living with his aloof, controlling mother, in a town where everyone sees him as a girl, where he has no friends, and he’s still dealing with his father’s betrayal.
One thing I really appreciated is that we meet both love interests really early on; there's no delay or dragging of the story, they are just immediately established.
Callum is more than the typical “grumpy” trope, he’s rough and feral and has genuine problems with letting other people in. It felt, to me, that he could not even consider the idea of Bennett reciprocating his feelings. Jesse - the “sunshine” counterpart -, on the other hand, is a cheery, touchy, kind, chaotic golden retriever.
Their dynamic is everything!
They are both huge simps for Bennett, but show it in completely different ways. Bennett, bless him, is always very sure that he likes both of them. Equally.
Jesse is Bennett’s soulmate, Callum is Bennett’s pillar, and Calum and Jesse love each other, even if their relation takes a bit longer to develop. It’s tender, raw, aggressive, full of trust.
It felt kind of hollow and incomplete to me, like it was lacking a stronger motive. This is basically the only reason it doesn’t get a 5-star review.
And yes, I’ll admit: it’s really hot. Triads, size difference, trans MC? Yes, please. It helps that the author does not shy away from actually describing what’s happening (although I wish ze’d stop using the word ‘apex’).
All in all: very solid, fast read, with an interesting plot, well crafted characters, a main character I was actually rooting for, and impeccable twists.
I love the setup on this one, Bennet, a trans half-fae man trapped in the human world with his unhinged mother finds friendship and love with two wolf shifters who have their own unresolved feelings. The world building is light but deep enough for most of the plot, though I am slightly confused about some of the magic. Bennet's drive to get back to faerie, where his body is what he wants it to be without binders and testosterone injections, propels the plot forward and is also the source of tension, as he falls in love with Jesse and Callum while they help him get his magic back.
The chemistry between all three leads was strong, but since this is a single POV story, Jesse and Callum's relationship doesn't get as much page time, and the story would have been stronger if we had more time to see them grapple with their feelings. Callum and Bennet had decent character arcs, but Jesse doesn't change much, which is mostly fine because he was an accepting, big puppy from the start. The sex scenes didn't shy away from Bennet's trans body, which I loved. These wolf shifter men really love him, and appreciate everything about him. There is never a moment where they don't want him, or question his gender.
I really enjoyed this, and will absolutely be reading more from Jem.
I enjoyed all the characters in this story, and I really liked how well Bennett, Jesse, and Callum work together. There's an HEA guaranteed in this story, but I enjoyed the fact that we had to work through quite a bit of angst to get there.
That said, the angst isn't overwhelming, and there's a lot of cute moments in between to break it up. It mainly focuses on Bennett's struggle at being trans in the human/mundane world versus how easy he found it in the fae realm, and his struggles at no longer having any magic.
Bennett comes across as pretty bratty at times, but honestly, it works in the story. While it may have otherwise made him seem unlikeable, Jem Zero walks the line pretty well where he's bratty but still someone you're rooting for and enjoying reading about.
The pacing in the book was good, and the spice was very spicy and fun to read, while the villain was appropriately hateable. i really enjoyed this, and it's a solid 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 stars.
When I read the description I was eager to dive in, two alpha wolves and a fae? Yes please! I think the writing was good, and the characters complimented each other well. I enjoyed this story, the details were very good. There was a bit of mystery surrounding Bennett's mom and dad. I was not expecting what happened with his mom, total plot twist there. There are reasons why I didn't give this a 5 star and that's cause I feel like this was focused a lot on the intimate acts between the characters rather than them building a relationship together. I also was confused about Bennett's magic. He said that in the fae realm he had a male body that he's always wanted. Yet when he gets his magic back he still has a female body? It was confusing to me.
Overall though I enjoyed the story, it was different than my usual reads.
*I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review.*
This story is full of heat, authenticity, and amazing banter. I enjoyed watching these three come together slowly and with honesty. It wasn't immediate. There were real concerns holding them back from just diving in but I loved seeing how Jesse handled it versus Callum. Ben was absolutely the key to bringing them together, which I appreciated.
I do think the drama with Ben's mom was unresolved. She goes through a lot to hold back her son and yet there is no final conversation. No ultimate showdown. Yes, Ben gets his magic back. But after all the effort Naomi puts in, it feels like she wouldn't just shrug and let it go. What happened after? Does she try to harm Ben again? What's to stop her trying again? Is anything done with her magical abilities? Does she face any consequences?
But beyond that, everything else in the book is beautifully written and I was overjoyed to see the three MCs become a Thing.
A Fae's Two Alphas is an entertaining read with a great setting and three wonderful main characters. Bennett is desperate to recover his fae magic, not least because it helps him to have the body he is most comfortable in without having to use a sticky binder. Jesse and Callum have an uneasy relationship with each other, but each care deeply about helping Bennett. Together the three manage to grow with each other and face the challenges of an unconventional love. This story has a vibrant setting, one the reader can fall right into. There are lots of little magical touches to the story that make this a very *charming* read. The trans representation is authentic, and will be welcome to readers looking for positive experiences for a trans MC.
Disclaimer: I received an advanced copy for free and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.
Started the book and almost immediately disliked the MC. The fact that he didn't even consider the LIs' feelings whenever he said he hated everything about the human realm, as well as just basically using them as "emotional vibrators" just felt so fucking selfish.
When the time came that he could leave the human realm and travel back through the veil to Faerie, he did it without a moment's hesitation - nvm that it would hurt the LIs. Then he came back and there's absolutely no grovelling on his part??? Fuck that. Immediate DNF.
Really wouldn't have been a bad book had there been actual character growth and a LOT more grovelling.
Sorry, @vrstal. I know you recced this, but I just couldn't deal.

I really enjoyed the plot of this book. Bennett seeks out mage wolf shifter Callum to try and get his Fae magic back. While there he runs into his childhood best friend and wolf shifter Jesse. During the experiments Bennett catches feelings for both wolves. But as soon as he gets his magic back he plans on staying in Faerie for good. What will happen to Jesse and Callum when Bennet leaves? The plot was angst filled but had plenty of sweet and spicy moments. The subplot with Bennett's mom took a surprising turn. I also liked the interactions between Jesse and Callum. Overall a great story.
Can a story not be paranormal enough? There was a lot of dwelling on the whole "I'm trans" rather than "I'm a fae, who lost their magic. attracted to two werewolves". A lot of angst. So much angst. Took me out of the story a bit. And it was quite hard to get through the book. So, gonna say, the blurb was not helpful. I thought I was getting a different book than what I got.
I like everything about this book. I think the writing is wonderful, the characters relatable. The anguish Bennett feels being a trans man in the mundane world is palpable, and made my heart hurt for him. I like that Jesse and Callum are a little stubborn with each other and take a while to figure out what they want. I really enjoy this author and look forward to future books!!
I'm sad I didn't connect with this book, it really was a me problem because it really wasn't bad or anything, I just found myself being annoyed at the pace of the book. I liked the plot but it mainly focused on romance which didn't connect with me. The plot twist was so good, I wanted more of that. Although I will still explore this author's other books.
So sweet, love the way their relationship is written!! Polyamory, esp queer polyamory, is often demonized or portrayed in a toxic way, it’s so wonderful to see everyone in love in a healthy way❤️
something happened within this year that made me lose all sense of normal books but i binge read this and i enjoyed it a lot and callum reminded me of my love calpyso so-
A FAE'S TWO ALPHAS includes - one trans fae protagonist who just wants to go back to Faerie - one grumpy alpha werewolf with magical abilities reluctantly helping out - one sunshine werewolf childhood friend who is interested in reconnecting - and one plot
I loved Bennett's snark and general attitude as he has to navigate human life while hoping he can return to his father's side soon. I was equally in love with how we got to see both of his relationships with Callum and Jesse develop on their own before they all got together. It's certainly a fun time!
