Bas' and Valentinea's story, this is the sixth story of The Shadow Elite series. I know with each book that Maddie writes I say this is my favorite but this one just might be. Right from the start she tells you why Bas' is the way he is and honestly keep the tissues handy. You will go through so many feelings with this story. I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend it. And on the very last page she leads into Hurricane's story dang. Maddie your way with the words just totally amaze me great job.

Bas may be a Shadow but he lives in the darkness as he has allowed the need for revenge to consume his life. It is only when Val's life is in the balance that he has a decision to make....revenge at the cost of his team and the last of his soul?
Bas thinks he is broken beyond repair with no hope of a future, but Val's close call makes him realise just how much damage he is doing as he avoids his feelings....and hers. The Shadow, Fortis and Eidolon families band together, but they uncover unexpected and long buried skeletons that could change everything, Bas has a decision to make....revenge or life? Revenge or love?
I really enjoyed this book and the crossover with Fortis and Eidolon, I look forward to Hurricane's book in a couple of months.

Fighting Salvation was absolutely wonderful. I was sucked in and couldn’t put it down! We have been waiting for Bas’s story, and it did not disappoint. Bad and Valentina finally take the plunge and embrace their feelings for one another. Can they take out Bas’s old nemesis at the same time? Of course they can. They are Shadow Elite. Members from Eidolon pop in to help. It was a great suspenseful story with lots of sexy times and all of the feels. Maddie Wade writes awesome characters that feel like family. The book ends in a “What?!?”. I can’t wait for Hurricane’s story!

The latest story in the Shadow Elite series is Bas and Val’s story and one that I have been waiting for. Maddie Wade did not disappoint - there are the twists and turns that we have come to expect and a few extra surprises thrown in for good measure.
I have been waiting for Bas’ story since we first met him in a previous series and the wait was worth it. We find out why Bas is the way he is and what has driven him to live the life he has for the past two decades. Although he has tried to hide it, he loves each of his team and would die to protect them. He and Val balance each other out and she is just what he needs to allow him to move forward with the life he deserves.
OMG Maddie Wade what an epilogue - I hope you don’t leave us hanging for Hurricane’s story for long, I’m not sure I can take the suspense!

This book had a lot to live up to. Bas has been present in a number of Maddie Wade’s previous books so, for him to have his own story had to be worthy of the build up.
Yet, once again it shouldn’t surprise anyone when Maddie Wade not only surpasses the build up but literally knocks it out of the park!!
When we first encountered Bas I wasn’t sure I liked him, but as his appearances increased I began to see that Bas was a good man, he was a protector. A total alpha man.
He fought to rid the world
of evil. It’s just that he did it whilst showing only a cold mask of determination so no one would see the beautiful character beneath.
A man suffering a great grief, made worse by an evil injustice. A man who was so worthy of love, yet his pain blinded him to it. A man who found family in fellow operators.
Val is a beautiful character. She’s so open and loving to everyone. Whilst she has an abundance of compassion and empathy for anyone, she’s also got a backbone of steel when it comes to protecting those she loves.
Watching her in previous books was so heartwarming. I think it takes someone pure of heart to work with animals, and Val does this flawlessly.
Watching her with Monty and Scout, the relationship they had was beautiful. I always love when an author encompasses animals within their stories. The bond between animal
and human is so honest and pure.
Watching Bas and Jack, alongside with their teams work together to bring down the evil that has been haunting them was one heck of a rollercoaster ride. The team worked together like a well oiled machine, each man and woman totally in sync.
Maddie Wade is my first unicorn author. Maddie and her books will always have a special place in my heart.
But, make no mistake, my bias by no means takes anything away from the sheer beauty that Maddie creates. Her talent is something I could only ever aspire to. She has a limitless talent, a true love for her art, which burns so brightly from each and every page.
Can’t recommend Maddie or her books highly enough.
There are truly not enough stars in the world to fully portray how wonderful this book is.

Bas!!! His story is heartbreaking but with his character, I knew it would be.
Bas has been in every book, of course because he is the leader, but I really was unsure about my feelings toward him but the more I saw and heard about him, I knew he had to be good, a protector because all of the Shadow Elite’s are!
He fought to rid the world of evil and this includes the revenge he has let consume him for many years. His revenge has left him closed off from others, not allowing anything good come inside him until her!
Val! She knew who Bas was long before now but she was afraid to tell him. Val has so much love to share and she wants to share it with Bas but will he let her?
Hansen just won’t leave Shadow alone and finally we learn why! Bas needs to end this for so many reasons, including what happened to Watchdog and Rykov but he needed to be the one to end it, once and for all!
Getting Hansen once and for all, Shadow utilized Fortis and Eidolon and it is great to have the mixed groups working together to help a team member!
Maddie Wade did an incredible job bringing us the story that Bas has and now we wait for the news they share about Hurricane and the secret that he didn’t want shared!

I was really excited about this book knowing it was Bas story. He’s been a bit of an intrigue in the background since the start of the series.
There’s so much happening that I don’t want to give anything away as the book itself is pivotal to the series.
Seeing how his backstory filled in some of the questions within the overall story is great. He tries so hard to remain focused and to keep his distance that he’s a bit in shock when the beautiful, talented dog handler Val creeps into his heart…
But he doesn’t recall or remember that Val isn’t someone new to him. Val does though and works hard to make sure she is his balance in the turmoil.
It’s not easy to take a character from another story and move them into their own book amongst another set of characters but Maddie has done this so well.
I love how Maddie does evil and this book seriously is not lacking in super evil and I also love how she entwines the teams. The Eidolon team is never a hardship to meet again 😊
What an epilogue! Hurricane is going to tear me apart; I can tell already.

Niall ‘Bas’ O’Scanlon’s frantic after dog trainer Valentina Bianchi’s brother storms in screaming about Val disappearing the last two days. In a satellite search, the team gets info on the trackers, Val isn’t with her dogs! Seconds later Hansen calls to taunt Bas that he has Val. Despite Bas’s alibi, Bas was jailed for their deaths and evidence to clear him wasn’t found for five years. Inexplicably, Val’s released. As the ultimate game of cat and mouse get underway, Bas makes a discovery about Project Cradle,

Where do I even start with this one? We have been waiting for the mysterious Bas' story for a long time, and boy was it a doozy of a story. The story of how he has come to be, the trauma, the heartache, the suffering, the fighting for survival and how his life intertwined with his forever, Valentina. I have so much to say but don't want to give away any spoilers. It was wonderfully written, loved these two characters together, both strong and determined in their own way, fighting for one another whilst fighting their greatest enemy too. Not only was there historical heartbreak, but also some tear jerking scenes of loss which were both shocking and devastating. Oof, whole story is just a whirlwind and well worth the wait for these two to come together. Be ready for heat, drama, mystery, shocking revelations, devastation, tears and more surprising turns. Highly recommend and dying to know what happens next for this group of misfit warriors.

This was one book that I couldn't wait to read (not to mention some scenes included my beautiful home country South Africa). And once I got started, I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Bas was the one character in the Shadow Elite world that I wanted to have his happy ending. And who better than Val to help him find that happy ending. As loving as Val was, don't mistake that for letting Bas walk over her when it came to protecting each other. She was just as determined as Bas to get the bad guy and wouldn't let anyone sideline her or her two four legged partners! Then there was the heartbreak for Lotus, I felt so sad for her. Don't get me started on Hurricane and the cliffhanger involving him! At least I now have his book to look forward to and hopefully there will be books about the new members that were rescued along with Bas ;)

This is one more exciting story of the Shadow Elite Series that you definitely do not want to miss out on! Maddie Wade introduced Bas some time ago and he has been a mystery ever since as he stays in the shadows but this one is well worth the wait. His story is horrendous, but he continues on as the leader of this Elite group of warriors. When Bas realizes his enemy is back, he decides it's time to finally end things. In the meantime, Valentina is reassigned to Bas's team but she has yet to discover what hardships she will face. While Bas is hunting his enemy, he becomes closer to Valentina while she's afraid of falling in love with him for the second time. No one on Bas's team knows his story but they all feel it has to be horrible when he goes by Bas which means Death. Again, this one will keep you captivated and you won't be able to put it down until the end.

Fighting Salvation is already the 6th book in Maddie Wade’s Shadow Elite series! It is finally the time to get the big boss’ story so we get Bas and his story and what a story it was, his past, man … every time I pick up one of the books in the series I wonder what Maddie has come up with and her imagination is truly limitless …
So, we have Bas, the leader of the secret Shadow group, and then we have Valentina who joins the group and is a wizard with dogs … no one knows though that she knows him from before, he had broken her heart and he had no recollections whatsoever. I absolutely loved how Valentina became the light in Bas’ darkness filled with revenge and how he had to face his past to have a future.
What a wild ride and not just with Shadow Elite guys but also with our Alphas from Fortis and Eidalon!

Oh my gosh Bas😢, I just knew his story would tug at my heartstrings and it certainly did. Emotional throughout, in more ways than one. Action a plenty with the task of tracking a killer and a kidnapper. This story gripped, it was edgy and sad in equal measure, there is violence but there there is also a whole lotta love and some romance. This is well written and exciting with a steady pace, there is a lot going on and some of it has followed from previous books and series. Characters I absolutely love. For all fans of this author this is one not to miss, my only down was the ending, that was hard. I hope the next book doesn't take too long. This was a powerful and strongly emotional read from beginning to end. 😢💖📖

This is the fifth story in the Shadow Elite series. I have been waiting for Bàs to get his story for a while. Maddie Wade does not disappoint. I couldn't put the book down once I started reading. Bàs is the leader of the Shadow Elite. They are still after Hansen and company. The twists and turns in this book are mind blowing. We find out things about Bàs that definitely came as a surprise. He has had feelings for Valentina and she for him. He refuses to acknowledge those feelings for fear it will negatively affect the team. Devastating facts about Bàs past come to light and he needs Val more than he ever realized. Can they overcome everything thrown at them to get the HEA they deserve? Get this book ASAP and find out. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Absolutely wonderful! Maddie did it again!
Bas the leader of Shadow had a turbulent past and a Vendetta against him but he was also constantly fighting his attraction to Valentina one of his team.
Omg I loved Bas. He was broken but alpha, protective and full on conquering hero, as against tough, strong stubborn but so loving Valentina. Their chemistry just worked and made this for a gripping and non stop action romance.
I also loved the team and how they were all looking out for each other.
Danger, suspense, intrigue and most of all romance this really was a compelling book and one I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

I’ve been waiting for Bás’ story since the Eidolon series and it is an amazing one. Bás presents a strong, tough, no nonsense exterior and has cut off his feelings especially for Valentina. She is beautiful, quiet, everybody’s friend and confident. She has lived Bás since before she met him and is heartbroken when he takes away his friendship even if it’s to protect her. When she’s kidnapped by the person who killed his parents and brother he goes ballistic. When she’s found he finally acknowledges his feelings but knows no one is safe until Hansen is dead. This one has heartbreak, revenge, teamwork, chosen family, and love. This is a book you definitely want to read.

This book really kept me turning the pages and wondering how it would all come together. So the latest book in the Shadow Elite series has you in the action almost straight away. We learn more about Bas and Val, their backgrounds and what drives them and why. All good books are full of twists and turns, steamy romance, teamwork, action, surprises, tracking a kidnapper and killer and this lives up to all my expectations. What an ending…but my lips are sealed, would never dream of giving anything away but we need the next book soon please Maddie.

Wow! I think this just became my favorite in the series! Bás and Valentina have been dancing around each other for books, but who knew their story would be so deep and written in the stars on such an epic level. These two have a shared history, although both do not acknowledge it openly, and that history is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. With lots of pulse-pounding, edge of your seat suspense, action and danger, and a much deserved ending to a nasty cloud hanging over Shadow, this story was everything and I couldn't put it down, finishing in one day. Who knew Bás was such a sweet man underneath?...only for Valentina of course...absolutely loved seeing these two get their happy.

I knew I would love Bas but I had no idea what he'd been through and how much I’d fall in love with this book. Valentina and Bas have such a great love story that started even before we met them in previous books. This love was built of tragedy but also had the ability to heal. We finally got a chance to learn what happened to make Bas the man he was and why he felt like he had to protect Val by keeping her at arm’s length. This one is full of action/suspense that will have you needing to finish it ASAP! I think this one is my favorite so far and I haven’t read one I didn’t love in this series!

The sixth installment in the the Shadow elite series does not disappoint !. Maddie knocks this one out of the ball park. This book features the story of Bas and Val and one that many of us Maddies Fans have been waiting for. As usual Maddies throws in plot twists to keep readers on their toes and and few I didnt see that coming moments. The story highlights Bas personal history and shines a light on why he is like he is and why he has lived the way he has for most of his life. Bas would deny it but he has great affection for his team but it takes Val coming into his life to allow him to move past ancient history and live the life he so richly deserves.

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Fighting Salvation . Wow ! What a amazing suspense romance . This story tears out your heart and slowly repairs it . I've long awaited this story and I definitely was not disappointed . It kept my attention from start to finish absolutely was on the edge of my seat . Bas has a dark tragic past and must face it when Valentina the women he loves but refuses to admit it is taken by his enemy . Bas tried to keep everyone in his team at a distance but they have truly become his family . This story is action packed and Suspenseful an off the charts story . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

This is the story between Bas aka Niall and Valentina aka Val.
Niall Conall O'scanlan was in the British Army and home on leave when his life was turned into a nightmare. His entire family has been muurdered and his best friend Hansen is the murdered. This changed Niall into Bas who is now the leader of The Shadow Elite and is out to revenge his families murder.

This great series by Maddie Wade just gets better and better, I don’t know how she does it, but I am totally hooked. This book, Shadow Elite book 6, is the story of Niall ‘Bas’ O’Scanlon, the team leader, his tragic past and the support, friendship and loyalty of not only his team and the love of Val with her two canine companions but the involvement of the other elite teams in bringing down the man who was once his best friend. This story is a real eye opener, impossible to put down until it’s finished, with lots of action, suspense, sadness and joy. I loved it, and cannot wait for the next, which is just touched on the the epilogue. I thoroughly recommend this whole series.

Its time for Big Bad Bas to get his HEA!!! Bas has always been a wee bit mysterious. I mean who didn't get a slight crush on him during Eildon??? Anyway back to Bas and Val. Who knew the leader of the pack have feelings for the pretty dog trainer?? I mean........ Maddie kind gave us a hint but DAMN. When a common enemy takes Val in order to get to Bas and the rest of the team. So get ready for slot of danger, 2 people finally realizing the can be together, and some familiar faces. So grab your favorite blanket and drink and go a little to the dark side with Shadow Elite.

Well this was the book I had been waiting for and it was certainly worth the wait Bas and Val make for a fantastic couple and their stories certainly had me reaching for the tissues. As always there is an exciting plot line and I really couldn't put this book down. It was great to catch up with old friends from Eidolon, and the team work and camaraderie between them is inspiring. As always Maddie leaves a tantalising view into the next book and wow! I cannot wait for the next in the series. I recommend this book unreservedly and in fact the whole series.

Fighting Salvation book six of the Shadow Elite series has been eagerly awaited by anyone who has read this series, and it doesn’t disappoint.
It takes Valentina being kidnapped by Bás’s arch enemy for him to realise he might just loose her. This book has it all action, danger, love, intrigue, revelations and tragedy. It certainly engages your emotions, and keep you reading till the end. An end that ends very nicely with a lead up to book seven.

I was so excited about this book and that scared me, because what if I didn’t enjoy it as much as the others? Let me tell you, this book did not disappoint! Bas has been a mysterious and intriguing character from the Eidolon series. Getting to know him a little better through the Shadow series so far, and now learning his back story, I think he is one of my favorite characters. I loved getting to know him and Val better and I loved their story. A really enjoyable read with lots of action and suspense. An absolute must read!!
